As with all things right-wing fear is always is a central motivating factor. Here Putin fears the spread of Democracy into Ukraine and then Russia. And of course, Trump thinks Putin's moves are brilliant but what would you expect Putin's special lapdog to say...
As with all things right-wing fear is always is a ... (show quote)

Putin is doing what's best for Russia, just as we created a c**p in Ukraine during the Obama Administration in order to set up missile bases (the very aspect that set all of this off in the 1st place) in Ukraine.
Trump only said that Putin was a savvy advisary. He's been 3 steps ahead of Biden so far, so....
Also, I would research the difference between N**ism, C*******m, and for God's sake actually look up the meaning of f*****m.
We empowered Putin by shutting down our energy production making him the world's 3rd biggest supplier of energy.
We all knew from the start he wasn't going to just let NATO stack missile bases on his border.
Not really aure where the Left is comming from like we can do anything about this, we have No treaties with Ukraine, 30 trillion in debt, 5 years behind on hyper sonic missile designs (which they have thanks to China), and we are energy dependant on other countries again.
We not only have NO responsibility here, but we have no REAL leverage.
So continue to pound you hollow chest, but the policies of THIS Administration have not only emboldened Russia, but have created serious problems for all of our Allies.

Oh there will be more prices to pay forth comming.
Just wait till we have to pay this price at the pump, and everywhere else we go.
Get ready for more hyper inflation, at least this Administration will have an actual excuse for $8 a gallon gas prices.
Russia will make up their losses as soon as Europe caves do to energy needs that we left them h*****g with due to our Climate concerns and lack of energy production.
The only way we can affect Russia is by becoming and energy producer again.
Otherwise we have zero leverage.
Also, keep in mind Russia supplies China with oil, how long until they get involved?
China has already supplied Russia with Hyper Sonic missile technology that we, or our allies can't touch.
Bad news all the way around.

Say what you will, unlike Obama and Biden, Putin didn't take on Trump.
Pooty got his hand slapped in Syria and went quietly back to his hole with his tail between his legs.
🤔 why is it this stuff only happens during Democrat Administrations?
Coincidence I guess.

#1 Trump never said he "supports" Putin. He simply said that Puitn was "Savvy" as not to allow US forces to install military bases along his border. Unlike our current leader, Putin isn't a baffoon. The rest is just MSM Propaganda.
It's one thing to respect an advisory, it's another to support him.
#2 The Sanctions imposed on Russia means little in comparison to how it will effect the U.S. and its allies. Russia already has a secured deal with China (who, if you noticed aren't condemning the actions of Russia, nor are they planning on following any sanctions imposed), not to mention Russia isn't 30 trillion in debt, but instead have a rather large surplus of funds (not to mention a hell of a War chest in gold holdings that they have been amassing over the last decade). Unfortunately, Russia can ride out wh**ever we throw at them...but can Europe/our Allies?
#3 the initial move into Iraq was with bipartisan support.

What?
Perhaps you should take your own advise on the Propaganda in which YOU choose to consume and incorporate into your bias.
So far the best the Left has come up with is sanctions, sanctions that don't do anything but hurt our allies, and is also why we can't get any REAL international support to stabilize the puppet regime in Ukraine.
The Keystone pipeline was just one small part of the energy destructive policies by this Administration that has helped stregthen, and embolden countries like Russia and China

The country of Ukraine has been in shambles since we (the US) helped the c**p of their existing government almost a decade ago.
What do you think we as the should do about it?
I hear alot of talk, but we aren't the world power we once were, nor are we even more technologically advanced at this point due to China sending Hyper Sonic missiles to Russia.
You sound like Longshanks son in Brave Heart..." We will stop them !!!"

Nobody takes this i***t President serious, or his ding bat of a VP that just escalated this conflict over the weekend.

Republicans, particularly trump supporters are guilty of supporting e******n **es intended to overturn a l********e e******n, and now we are seeing these people double down in a betrayal of our country by supporting the authoritarian Putin who in reality is very much at the heart of the division in this country.

This is becoming a division that clearly has t*****rs to our country on one side, and no matter how much the right wants to say democrats are the t*****rs or authoritarians, it is becoming clearer and clearer which side those lines are drawn. Those bonding with the authoritarian dictator Putin see nothing wrong with this kind of authoritarian control...and the real patriots want nothing to do with Russian style politics, Putin, or trump and the GOP that won't fight against it.
Being wrong and continuing to double down on that ... (show quote)

Wow, might want to turn off CNN for 5 minutes and get some actual news.
For starters, changes made by
un-elected officials just before an e******n is Unconstitutional.
There was NO bill passed by our Legislative branch.
Second, I don't think anyone supports Putin, but unlike the Left the rest of us live in REALITY. That reality is we have no business in Ukraine.
No treaties, and they aren't part of NATO.
Just because we want to set up missle bases near Russia, doesn't mean we can.
The only resolve at this point, thanks to this Administration is a conflict with Russia. Russia isn't some 3rd world country that we can screw with and just walk away from.
Im sorry if all I hear is alot of hot air from the politically nieve, but you better keep in mind we aren't the World Power we once were.
Our Allies are dependant on Russia oil, and thanks to this Administration's energy policies they will no other REAL choice but to subside to Putin's demands.
We will be in this one alone when it's all said and done.

It's just more Trump drama. Probably nothing to it. She probably thought it was just a little wind whipping by!

Donald Trump's DNA, not deposition sought in defamation suit

NEW YORK (AP) — A lawyer for a woman who accused former President Donald Trump of raping her in the mid-1990s and then filed a defamation lawsuit against him said Tuesday she will not seek to depose Trump prior to trial because it would cause unnecessary delay, but added that a DNA sample was still being sought.

Attorney Roberta Kaplan first made the revelation in Manhattan federal court during a pretrial hearing before explaining the decision to reporters outside the court as her client, E. Jean Carroll, stood by her side.

A deposition, Kaplan said, would “inevitably result in an inordinate amount of delay.”

“We want the case to go forward,” she said.

Attorney Alina Habba, who represented Trump at the hearing, said outside court that she had not previously heard that Carroll's lawyers did not want a deposition, a proceeding in which lawyers in civil cases question likely witnesses under oath prior to trial.

“It's surprising,” Habba said.

As for a DNA sample, Habba said: “None has been demanded.”

Kaplan, though, said the DNA sample had been requested after the case was first filed in state court, and the demand still exists after it was moved to federal court.

She said she would be “more than perfectly happy” to wait to interview Trump at trial, which she estimated could occur in as little as six months, after some near-term legal obstacles are cleared.

The Associated Press generally does not identify people alleging sexual assault, but Carroll has consented to being named in the media.

She told reporters outside court that she was looking forward to the trial on behalf of all women “who have been grabbed and groped, assaulted and raped by men in power and are silenced.”

“And we are looking to bring justice, at least in this one case, against a powerful man,” she said.

Carroll said she would “never settle, never.”

“This is about principle. It's about a powerful man assaulting and raping a woman and then getting away with it. That's not right,” she said.

Carroll in a June 2019 book said Trump raped her in the mid-1990s in an upscale Manhattan department store.

The book excerpt prompted Trump to deny the allegations and question Carroll’s credibility and motivations in a statement from his White House press office, comments in an Oval Office interview and statements to the media as he boarded a helicopter for Camp David.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to rule eventually on Trump’s request that the United States take his place as the defendant in the lawsuit. The U.S. Justice Department has asserted that Trump cannot be held personally liable for “crude and disrespectful” remarks he made about Carroll because his remarks were made as he was carrying out his duties as president.

Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, who presided over Tuesday's hearing, ruled last October that Trump cannot use a law protecting federal employees from being sued individually for things they do within the scope of their employment.

He also has rejected a request by Trump's attorneys that the progression of the lawsuit, including depositions, be delayed until the 2nd Circuit rules on whether Trump can be replaced as the defendant.

On Tuesday, the judge seemed to have little patience for arguments by Trump's lawyers saying that Trump should be able to countersue Carroll under a law sometimes used to challenge defamation lawsuits that unfairly make claims.

“I question whether you have the right to do what you want to do,” he said, noting that the lawyers were seeking to countersue more than a year after the case was filed.

You are supporting a dictator, one of the most ruthless and intelligent leaders ever to take control of one of the roughest and most corrupt groups of military and civilian leaders in history.

People are supporting this because the GOP is headed this direction with keeping control of government power by any means. Trump tried to go Putin, but he just couldn't quite o*******w some key roadblocks of democracy. And that said have worked diligently to create a few states where pesky ethics and rules can't get in the way of the next attempt to overturn enough state e******ns to throw a p**********l e******n into no man's land.

You are no patriot if you admire dictators, and it's debatable as to whether you can even be called an American...alternative American suits the purpose.

Politicians who supported the i**********n needed to be removed from office...and they sure as hell need to support this country and government over dictators who have been our enemy and still are.

Or the incident at the Capitol building, where a handful of people pissed off about how unelected officials manipulated an e******n?
I don't think anyone supports Putin, the question is what are we able to do about it?
We have NO treaties with Ukraine, and they aren't part of NATO.
Are you saying send MORE U.S. troops to fight a war with a political advisary? One that is currently in better financial state, and are in possession of Hyper Sonic missiles (courtesy of your CCP friends) that we can't defend against.
Our only ties to Ukraine are the millions that H****r and Romney's nephew made through they're Burisma dealings
We lost control of financial sanctions the second we shut down the Key Stone pipeline. During Obama's administration the Russians signed a hundred year deal with China and can ride out any sanctions we impose.
Now our allies will have to suffer for more L*****t ignorance.

You do know we have no legal right to be in Ukraine to begin with right?
We have NO treaties with Ukraine, and they are Not part of NATO.
The question you should be asking yourself is why now?
Why now that Democrats are back in office is Putin acting up again?
Also, what EXACTLY do you think we should do about Ukraine?

crazy, Good question. I think the answer is obvious. Bullies like Putin will go as far as we let him. Where do we draw the line, Poland, Spain? how about New York or Ohio? The allies practiced a foreign policy with the n**is. It was called appeasement. They let Hitler take, Czechoslovakia, Austria, The Rhineland. Il Duce took Ethiopia, and Albania. The Japanese took thousands of miles of sea lanes, Indo-China, Mongolia, and parts of China. All this looking the other way whenever the Axis countries led directly to World War 11. The Brits and French no longer believe in this policy, either should we. For better or worse, we are a super power, and have vital interests all over the globe that must be protected.

That's not really a good comparison. Poland is a part of NATO. We have treaties with Poland. There is no treaty with Ukraine, nor are they in ANYWAY the responsibility of NATO.
