Sue has just informed me that she spoke with two of our daughters earlier today, while I was gone. Christopher has shown no noticeable signs of progress over the past week, but is still breathing on his own. We like to think he is regathering his mental and physical strength in moving towards recovery. His Mother and Aunt both say he seems at peace. The Family reiterates our gratefulness for the Prayer Team's support.

Our prayers are sent out to the Lord on their behalf as always. God be with them, and you always.

More like sarcasm based on the simple fact that nothing is illegal without a law to make it illegal. But it brings up a point... these people are illegal because WE make them illegal with OUR laws... Not their laws... OUR laws.

Still, I always get curious about the things you nuts say... When you were ridiculing the idea of opening the borders, you listed all these unwanted types as something an open border would allow. Again, I'm just curious... do you actually think that our closed border is keeping any of these people out? Just seems a little naive to me, but I don't really know what to expect from you.

Of course we made them illegal with our laws. If people coming from other countries can bring their own laws with them, and abide by those laws, not ours then Muslims can behead any infidels here that they want to because their laws permit that. Then if someone comes from a country where men can have 20 wives, we have to consider valid their group marriage if they are here. Much of the world, and throughout history has had no "age of consent" so if those coming from those countries want to have sex with five year old children it shouldn't be illegal for them to do so. the same should hold true for s***e owners from countries where that is legal. They should be able to own s***es here. Yes, if there were no laws then nothing would be illegal. If there were no morals than nothing would be immoral. Apparently those concepts work well for you.

Thanks, Snoopy. I just posted an article on Obama's indifference to Ebola coming to America.

It is a very good article. hope many will read it and think about what Sowell says.

American's are dispensable as far as Obama is concerned. A good article, by a fine writer, and brilliant thinker.

Thank you for posting that. I have a number of Sowell's books and consider him one of the most logical thinkers around these days Everything in this article rings true with what has happened with the direction of Obama. Should spark some good conversation.
Why did you put it in politics of the American Right? You do know Glaucon manages that forum, I assume.

Of course there was no budget cut, just less of an increase than the "progressives" wanted. That is the claim from either side and a new use of the English language, when a smaller increase than requested is called a cut.

Wonderful photos, so cool, and thought provoking. Wish one of those angels were here to calm the tormented souls wherever they are

I'm not pleased, but your suggestion that someone's faith is important...isn't. I'm going to work really hard...not because I don't believe in God...I'm just tired of hearing it as excuse for success, failure, mental illness, punishment. I do not love Obama and I know Obama doesn't love me, but I know God does. But giving God credit for everything isn't where I come from...at the end of day...reality is...I am responsible...chasing butterflies doesn't make life go away.

You of all people should understand that drugs, and escape are coping mechanisms. Mental illness is permanent state of mind in which (however achieved) is unbreakable coping mechanism. Religion, is a coping mechanism and churches are false doorways. You cannot come to God but through his son, and most churches are a roadblock. Earnest prayer is the only way. With that:

"Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint, when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality; against which they are dashed to pieces."
– Sigmund Freud
“The foundation of all mental illness is the avoidance of legitimate suffering”
-Carl Jung

Carl Jung, ought to know, he suffered delusions for about 8 years. He kept a very detailed diary, called the brown book, which was finally published posthumously.

Talking about how someone else views the world (you) is not how I view the world, which means we will never agree and in the scope of my short time on earth: it matters not.
I'm not pleased, but your suggestion that someone'... (show quote)

Had you not introduced the subject with an offhand disrespectful comment I might have assumed that you were serious, but your approach certainly did not indicate that at all.

Couldn't ask for more loyal and true attendants to a wedding!
Congratulations and felicitations all around!

I am sure they will appreciate that. When the plans started there were going to be about twenty people, but through friends and other survivors it ended being somewhere around 175 people, great outdoor wedding, all food donated by friends. For us it was a chance to see some of "our boys" again and meet their families. One of them lives not too far from the people we stayed with while being with my brother at the end, and he came to the wedding and brought a couple of pieces of furniture from my brother's house. It is amazing what God's love can do to heal and bring people together. Thanks to AuntiE you got to share the pictures that the friend from whom we are getting another dog painted. She did one for BTFKR just for fun, maybe he will put it up as an avatar. The ushers were a standard poodle, a Cane Corso that was not ours, a rough collie, an Airedale and the little one is a Welsh Terrier from the woman who did the artwork. All are certified therapy dogs with many different rally and obedience titles also. Both Airedale and Welsh are AKC conformation champions as is the other Corso. It is neat to have all around titled purebred dogs to help people realize what they can do with their dogs. One of our boys trains search and rescue and cadaver dogs. He was there . MaryBeth saw him at a seminar recently where he was speaking about search and rescue training, but it had been a while for me.
Thank you all for being a part of the festivities, and being a great part of our family.
God Bless You All
Mike and MaryBeth
