Well, I'm laughing....but then, I'm not a fundamentalist...h**e to be a spoilsport, but let's see....Saturday, that's today, it is the 11th....does that mean we jump WAY ahead, just leap tomorrow alllll the way to Friday, to make the 13th a Friday instead of Monday, Columbus Day, and we just "pretend" that the 31st is really the 13th? ;) Hey, I mean no disrespect, truly I don't. However, I can't even get the Mennonites to sell me pumpkins and gourds "just intended" as fall decorations, after September 30, because they are so offended by Halloween. I understand why. I just don't happen to agree. Funny though, the Amish are happy to and are also happy to talk about the fact that they believe in ghosts.....Interesting. Perverted as it may sound, coming from "me".....I do, however, refuse to watch the Exorcist ever again, didn't want to the first time....and must have slept with the lights on for a good six weeks therafter.

That is interesting, coupled with the Day of The Dead. I am a Christian but not a fundamentalist and I don't have any problem with the coincidence.

I guess you have a date problem, or maybe more than one. I didn't even notice it, but fortunately others did.

Many Christian churches sponsor activities on this pagan holiday. Of course, they also sponsor activities on Christmas and Easter, two equally pagan holidays that have managed to insert themselves into the Christian ritual. A First Century Christian witnessing a modern day church service would probably deem it a pagan worship ceremony. He wouldn't be too far wrong.
I am still working on the Friday the 13th/31st conundrum. Is that some of that Common Core stuff? Would that make 666 years interchangeable with 999? Does dyslexia function with upside down and inside out, or only back and forth? Decisions, decisions.

Could it be I have inspired another generation of smartasses? Good one, by the way. You realize I'm upset because you thought of it first.
