Just because people call themselves Christian doesn't make it so. America has never been a Christian nation. The reason the world recognizes the Jews as Israel is because it held to the Sabbath. To a lesser degree the tribes of Levi and Benjamin. The other tribes lost their identity when they rejected GOD's law and Sabbath. America is one of those lost tribes. People who reject GOD'S law and Sabbath are not Christians. To your point, accepting idol worship ;which breaks the second and third commandments, is perfectly fine for people who profess to be Christians but are not.
Adam and Eve were persuaded to rebel, told that rebellion wasn't wrong, just a different perspective. They were also told that GOD was a liar; they weren't going to be punished for their behavior. When you break GOD'S laws you are destroying yourself and everything you touch. This may be "crap" to you, but I dare say you have been rebelling yourself for so long you think the rebellion is good and normal. GOD has given men 6000 years to do his "own thing" whatever that may be. The earth is sicker, human beings are sicker morally and physically than at any time in human history. If you think keeping GOD's law is "crap" that's your choice. GOD has a plan for rebels who won't repent- it involves removing you from his sight and off his earth- permanently. In other words removing all of the "crap" from out of his life. He's had enough, and the 6000 years are almost expired. There is only one GOD that has had a relationship with the creation; if you can't see that you had better take a break from all your arrogance and find humility. The clock is ticking and he is not waiting on humanity, he is merely adhering to what he himself set in motion-his timeline.

You are arrested by someone," law enforcement", who is at least as criminal as the people they arrest. How is it even possible to get justice with this system?

The "Civil War" was fought for the reason every war has , and will be fought- money, economics. The South had most of the nations natural resources and they wanted to do business internationally.
