The damage done to the US by a small percentage of the good willed, out weighs the good. Im confused why our borders are not shut down. Like many other countries who will hunt you down once ones boss expires. Try going to China, living there 20 years, having a family while waiting to be approved for citizenship, or Germany, France, ........

You might have missed a small detail... You state that because of religious beliefs. What about scientific proof, that supports religious beliefs? Christians stood firm, and now irrefutable scientific proof that within days of conception, there is a human, and just a few weeks, can feel pain, at a month has developed, only needing the remaining time to grow enough to sustain itself, (breathing).
Science says it is human early in the whom, which supports the Christian faith.
Therefore chopping up a 30 human is wrong, but chopping up a month old human is ok?

ote=ibKelly]If just a SMALL portion of the money the Obama's have spent on ONE vacation, it could have bought body armor and rifles for the police....

Obama and Holder have never been to the border but the blood is now on their hands. The Sheriff has repeatedly invited Obama to see the war and human smuggling. Since Obama is useless the police have started a foundation to raise money for body armor and assault rifles against the drug gangs Even on the Texas border the Mexican investigator's head was decapitated and sent to the Mexican military as a warning to both Mexico and the U.S.. CNN reports. . I doubt selfish Obama has even seen anything like this:

"War, drugs and human s***ery on the border".

Obama is at 37% approval rating. The lowest in his career.
News from Ben Johnson, Floyd Reports:

"In a desperate push to keep the Senate in friendly hands, Barack Obama took to the airwaves of Univision Radio on Monday and encouraged Hispanic v**ers to join him in his plan to "punish our enemies." It appears Hispanics have sunk to the challenge. Among the most motivated members of Obama's nightmare coalition are those who have no right to play any role in the American political process, or even to be in this country, generously financed by Democrats and their political allies."

"Last Thursday, Obama campaigned for Democratic Senator Patty Murray in Seattle, and across Oregon, delivering a speech noted for its fear mongering. The Associated Press reported Friday that "dozens" of i*****l i*******ts are crisscrossing Seattle to campaign for Democratic U.S. Senator Patty Murray. Dozens is putting it modestly. All told, "About 150 volunteers rolled out in nine cities across Washington this past week, knocking on 3,000 doors." AP credits the pro-i*****l i*********n organization One America V**es with launching "one of the largest get-out-the-v**e campaigns in the state on behalf of Democratic candidates."

As Michael Savage said October 26th on his radio show, "a f**e president telling f**e citizens to v**e".

Obama does not care about the Hispanics he gives speeches to. He has done NOTHING about the poor immigrants from Central America who are k**led by the drug gangs trying to get here. He does not care if several Mexicans are found dead in a trailer or boxcar by "coyote" smugglers who take their money and leave them for dead. If he did care he would secure the borders and initiate legal work programs that allowed Hispanics to work in the U.S.. Like his mentor Soros, Obama created only chaos.

At the beginning of the 20th Century when another gang headed by Pancho Villa terrorized the border, General "Black Jack" Pershing was sent along with Patton to stop the murder, rape and robbery along the border.

Obama will not do anything but sue America because he is only a lawyer. He would rather have American troops in Afghanistan than have them protect Americans here. He wants non citizens from Central America to v**e in the USA for his agenda while his Hispanics are being slaughtered by drug gangs. Does Obama address the sufferings of the Hispanics? Of course not! He demands Hispanics join him and "punish our enemies."by v****g against the Republicans. If Velma Hart is not happy what makes Obama think the Hispanics are happier? They could insult him in Spanish and he would never know.

"Judges rule foreigners can v**e in America!"

To help" Obama the Scum", judges in America are ensuring people from other countries can v**e.

Rhonda Bodfield, Arizona Daily Star reports:

"The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned Arizona's requirement that people show proof of citizenship to r******r to v**e.

The split decision by a three-judge panel determined that the requirement to show proof of citizenship - passed by v**ers in 2004 - is not consistent with the National V***r R**********n Act
Secretary of State Ken Bennett said the state plans to appeal the ruling, "I think it's an outrage and a slap in the face of Arizonans who are concerned about the integrity of the e******ns."

Spanish in the v****g booths.

I could not believe what I was hearing when I went to v**e yesterday. I heard "Spanish" in the v****g booths. There were people helping Hispanics understand how to use the v****g machine. The v**ers could not speak English so there were helpers speaking Spanish to them. I guess if I go to Mexico I could v**e and ask for an interpreter too and they would be so happy to assist. Reality check: Mexico deports people who are illegally in their country.

Mexican President Calderon: We Fine and Deport I******s, Too

If you cannot speak English how can you know the t***h in a country where English is mostly spoken? It's hard enough for a native English speaker to extract the t***h from these con men and investigate the t***h. If all the English stations are not enough to get the t***h how can a few Spanish stations help?. I am sure those who only speak Spanish will easily accept Obama as a man of t***h. Obama proclaims, "I care about you because I am black and the other guys h**e you. V**e for my Democrats!

My murdered friend was from Mexico but he was in America legally. He was ambitious and he learned most of his English himself. He was a hard worker and wanted the best for his family. He could not understand why most of his own people would not learn English. He always asked me questions and wanted to improve himself. He knew I spoke other languages like Russian and Spanish but when I spoke to him in Spanish he insisted I speak English to him. His strong will drove him to succeed. He said he was an American.

Obama in office means only death. Not only to my friend but to Tiffany's husband and other tourists. Let's not forget the thousand of innocent Hispanics who were k**led along the border. The families of the slain will never get help from Obama and the US Department of Justice. Attorney General Eric Holder has made the Justice office into a joke and is another clown in the Washington circus. Even the FBI could care less. The CIA is more interested in starting trouble for Russia in Georgia and the Ukraine.

Incompetent and impotent Attorney General Eric Holder Joe Friday speaks for America in this video:

"look at the victims of these crimes and try to have a little empathy"

You can bet Obama doesn't care who gets k**led including his v**er base. He'll only talk to the living. Obama's actions t***slate into,

"All you illegal Mexicans, Colombians and other Hispanics can v**e for my Democrats this e******n.

... if you can stay alive."
[ I appreciate your position, and can argue that we really never have had free market. Since 1937 interstate commerce provision has prevented insurance companies from providing policies across state lines. My view point is based more from hearing both sides of the political argument, and not an academic one, or am I stating knowledge of the many nuances.
I see health insurance likened to retail, the more competitive companies trying to sell the same product, the product improves and cost goes down. Our past health insurance was limited by not having interstate commerce freedoms, much like the ACA.
As far as health care cost I believe that there are so many issues one could bullet point pages Iof individual fixes, which may have been a better place to start, one step at a time to fix our broken system. Coming back to the ACA, If we were going to have a government controlled system it makes sense to me, it would have been better to roll out small pieces at a time, avoiding it's built in flaws and short sighted foundation, given more thought process.
Again, thanks for your input

quote=Hungry Freaks]*************************************

In the rest of the economy, I'd agree. But health care isn't a commodity, it's a need. And most people don't have a "free market" when making medical decisions. In most of the United States's you can't decide to go to "Bob's Quality Hospital" or "Acme Health Care"-you go to the one local hospital that serves your area.

And insurance companies further limit the choice. My last health insurance allowed me to go to one place for x-rays and other medical imaging and one place for laboratory tests. No shopping, no price comparisons, nothing. I either went where the health insurance company told me to go, often driving long distances to get there, or I paid out-of-pocket.

It's even less of a choice when you arrive by ambulance. "Wait I want to go to Bob-O-Rama's Healthcare World" isn't something that happen. You're carrie into wh**ever hospital the ambulance driver takes you to and are treated by doctors not of your choice.

And the sham free market we have in the United States shows. Compared to Canada's universal health care, health care costs in the US are two, three and sometimes three times as expensive.

There's anew Hepatitis C drug that costs $20,000 in the US, but $2,500 in European and Asia. Why the disparity? Because of the monopoly the current Medical-Insurance Complex has on our healthcare system.Big Pharma charges it because there's no mechanism to control the costs.

In a universal coverage system, there's price control mechanisms that keep costs down. There is no such mechanisms here. We claim that "the market" determines the cost, but, if that is so, I'd love someone to tell me how. Prior to the ACA, there is little regulation on what health care facilities or doctors can charge, except with one caveat-that no one be turned away from life threatening or possible life threatening injury or illness.

For-profit hospitals can stabilize a patient and then ship them to a publicly funded hospital or refuse to treat them if the injury or illness isn't life threatening. It isn't regulation that's responsible for our high health care costs.

There's a sham free market-we're not sick or injured, we're "health care consumers." But in reality, there's no real market forces at work. When one has a disease or injury that requires treatment, we don't go for the least expensive treatment. We go for the best treatment. Unless an insurance company says that said treatment is "out of network" which is often the case.

Every nation on earth, with the exception of China, Chad, Somalia and a few other Third World hellholes, has some form of universal health care system. In our 'free market" arrogance, we assume that because our healthcare system is so expensive (50% more expensive than the next most expensive in Switzerland and Sweden) it must be the best.

But it's not according to every health care indicator used to measure the efficacy of a health care system. We're tied with Costa Rica at either 17th or 27th (I forget exactly which one. but it ain't number 1) Time to throw aside that arrogance and start looking at how successful systems elsewhere work.

I've watched one television series in the past 10 or so years. When I first heard about it, I thought "Breaking Bad" was another TV ccop-crime drama. But, while staying with friends, I watched an episode and discovered it's not just about crime and greed-it was about someone who was facing bankruptcy because he got sick and wanted the best treatment. This was a guy with health insurance but that the treatment needed to keep him alive was "out of network."

It's not a far-fetch premise-half of all bankruptcies in the US are related to health bills, including those who have insurance that doesn't cover bills above a certain level.

The system is broke. We can debate on how to fix it, but just saying "let the free market do it's magic" won't cut the mustard anymore.
[ so are you saying republicans are behind fema??

quote=Hungry Freaks]I heard an old British Laborite talk about the difference between US attitudes and European attitudes on government.

He said in Europe, the governments are afraid of the wrath of the people while the the US the people are afraid of the wrath of the government.

Take a look at the paranoid fantasies of the far right-FEMA is constructing guillotines outside of Atlanta. the government is stockpiling coffins, any number of government agencies are coming to take away our firearms, etc.

In most European nations any such government action would be greeting with mass protests-people actually getting off of the butts and mobbing DC.

Of course, there is the issue as to whether any of these alleged atrocities by the government is actually real, of which most of the are not.

Which brings in the bovine-like ignorance and rampant paranoia so evident in today's America. And it becomes much like the boy who cried wolf. When it does happen, will anybody believe it? .

Sorry to but into your conversation, I believe the government should stay out of health care and heath insurance. Let the competitive markets work, without commerce restrictions, FDA restrictions, and so many other government suffocating oversight. Let the states form there own policy for setting guidelines for the disabled and poor, allowing the states to have there own programs, and learn from each other what works best. No FDA charging millions and millions to drug Companies, and restricting life changing drugs, healing drugs, instead allowing free market and competition.

Under the pre- Obama, why would anyone be uninsured, unless by choice. If zero income, Medicaid pays 100% and if on min-wage. it would under $100. per month sliding scale, and as income goes up, the scale, until I earn too much and at that point can afford insurance. Under the Obama plan......same thing!!!!!!!!!!!! except those who can afford more get little more than Medicaid coverage.

Most that I know choose to disrespect and slander the president.

Im just a sinner like everyone else, maybe the difference is saved by grace, but no better than any other man.
Most of my frustration is the vitriol anger and disrespect opposing parties show one another. Seems foolish that a man would express his opinion and view points to sway the other side only to result to insults and name calling, which then just shuts his opponent down, causing a deeper devide. Our leaders have shown the example to Americans, perhaps Americans can be an example to our leaders. Given conversations continue, one may even find qualities to respect, in his opponent, as well as likable traits. The beginnings of compromise, with out defeat of ones position. Some Issues may never be c*********d, but given the multitude of issues facing our nation there are plenty of topics to agree on, or compromise.
I see our leaders focussing on the deeply dividing issues such as gay marriages, causing a deeper divide, when jobs, economy, and a hundred other topics with less divide could of had mutual victory. Now either side will budge, or agree on the weather of the day.
Bottom line is Bush/Obama and previous administrations have not pushed the US out of governments ability to correct our present course.

I respect the opposing party individuals, and refuse to hold malice or anger inspite of my frustration, together we are seeing the strength of our nation losing ground, economically, socially, militarily, morally, internationally as we step farther away from fundamentals including recognizing God who blessed the nation above any in the history of the world. I believe we have passed the pivotal point of returning as a nation to Gods Grace, and soon judgment will come.

Thanks , That Google thing gave some good answers. It says the republicans presented the bill with the stipulation we want a delay or no deal. I think that is a fair summary. They knew before they presented it that the answer was no. They did it anyway and the answer was no. Their goal was to get a delay for an entire year in an effort to find a way to scrap the law. They knew if they did that there would a shutdown. So what you're saying is it is Obamas fault because after he told them to present a bill without messing with the healthcare law and they did it anyway fully knowing that move would cause a government shutdown. No matter if they don't like him he is the president and they did this as a show of disrespect costing the taxpayers and many private businesses a lot of money. I don't go up to my boss every morning and say f you. If I got a problem and I don't get the answer I want I don't walk over and pull the fire alarm so I can prove a point by costing the company money. It would hurt me and the other employees when it disrupts the activity of the company and prove nothing except that I was an a hole for doing it.

I believe were both valid. Except I don't believe it was disrespectful, our president dug his heals in " clean bill or nothing" (poor position), then Congress dug there heals in. ( poor position).
When Clinton was in office and his second term Congress turned majority GOP, same as Obama. The difference Clinton moved center and negotiated with Congress. Obama has more of an I'M THE PRESIDENT DO IT MY WAY OR ELSE. So now citizens are too more decided and unable to be centered following our leaders example.
Sad, were all swimming in the same pond, forming a no tolerance towards the opposing party.
