Yep, you're right about that! It ALL starts at home. Somehow, somewhere, kids are taught they don't have to respect anyone. Parents no longer parent. Need to go back to the old school way of raising kids. We'd see a different kind of kid who is afraid of consequences for bad behavior. Now, if you frown at them you could go to jail.

If you do not raise a child with respect, it does not magically happen. Yes, the teacher should not have punched, kicked and abuse the kid..... it was wrong no matter which angle this is viewed. But, my bet... this teacher will keep his job with perhaps a slap on his wrist and told not to do it again. The child will be either suspended or even expelled. In his future, if he is not k**led by someone as crude as he, he will be in jail by the time he reaches 30 for a major crime. Again, I blame the parents or should I say the woman he gave birth to him and the man who fathered him, because they are not fulfilling the role of parenting.

Teacher caught on video punching student gets GoFundMe page for legal fees — and it soars past $170K

A high school music teacher who was caught on video repeatedly punching a 14-year-old student inside a classroom got a GoFundMe page set up for him by a fellow school district employee to assist with legal fees — and as of Friday morning the funds topped $170,000.

“This is Marston Riley, and I’m letting you know that this GoFundMe page is legit,” Riley, the teacher in question, said in a video posted on the GoFundMe page. “I want to thank Cecilia Diaz for setting it up for me, and I want to thank you for supporting me.”

What happened?
Riley, 64, was arrested Nov. 2 on suspicion of child abuse and causing great bodily injury on a child, KTLA-TV reported, after the incident at Maywood Academy High School, which is in the Los Angeles County school district.

He was released Saturday morning after posting $50,000 bail, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing Sheriff’s Department inmate records, and is scheduled for a Nov. 30 arraignment.

What are students saying?
All the students who spoke to KTLA Friday night were sympathetic to Riley and said the student in the video pushed him too far. In fact, one student told the station it was a setup.

“Everything was planned out,” the student told KTLA. “There were students there who were already taking out their phones to record the incident. I don’t think it’s completely fair that they’re just putting the blame all on [Riley], when I personally know that he’s a good guy.”

The blow-by-blow account
Students told the station the confrontation started after Riley asked the boy to leave the classroom for not wearing a proper uniform. The student in question allegedly refused, KTLA said. Cellphone video shows the boy swearing at the teacher and repeatedly calling Riley, who is black, the N-word.

The student is also seen throwing a basketball at Riley, after which the station said Riley pulled out his cellphone to call for backup.

“C’mon, bro,” the student is heard saying. “Walk the f*** back [N-word].” Riley does walk back, and video showed the student continue the verbal barrage, including calling Riley a “b***h” and challenging him: “I’m right here, bro. Everybody watching, my [N-word]. What’s up?”

Riley warns the student several times, “You better leave” — and a minute and a half after the video of the confrontation started the teacher is seen suddenly punching the boy in the face.

The student attempts to defend himself and moves backward to far edge of the classroom as Riley delivers another blow and knocks him down.

The student gets up, drops his backpack, and squares off.

Riley then delivers what appear to be at least another dozen or so blows and goes after the kid again after others attempt to intervene.

Another student appears to punch Riley as well.

The boy who started the confrontation is d**gged away by staff, hollering at Riley unintelligibly. He was taken to a hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries and released, the Times reported, citing the Sheriff’s Department.

At the end of the clip Riley is seen asking other students who hit him, presumably in reference to the second student seen apparently punching the teacher.

What did the school have to say?
School district officials said they were “extremely disturbed” by reports of the fight, telling the paper in a statement: “We take this matter very seriously and do not condone violence or intolerance of any kind. Los Angeles Unified is cooperating with law enforcement in investigating this incident.”

What did another student have to say about Riley?
“I had this teacher before, and I had no problem with him,” the student told KTLA. “He was a really nice teacher, I always respected him. He always had a really good relationship with every student.”

The Times added that many on social media defended Riley, saying that he was pushed too far and that student was out of line for using racial slurs.

They don't want prayer in school but it's okay for a g****r dysphoric boy to come dressed as a girl and use the girls restroom. It's okay to push the homosexual agenda on our young school children. It's okay for teachers to push their political beliefs in the classroom. All that is evil is okay but prayer, no way.

'Ya'll don't do that again,' principal tells praying students
First Liberty confronts district regarding 'quarantine'

Bob Unruh joined WND in 2006 after nearly three decades with the Associated Press, as well as several Upper Midwest newspapers, where he covered everything from legislative battles and sports to tornadoes and homicidal survivalists. He is also a photographer whose scenic work has been used commercially.

Lawyers with First Liberty Institute, one of the nation’s premiere defenders of religious liberty, have confronted a Texas high school principal’s decision to “quarantine” students who wanted to pray together during non-class time.

“Ya’ll don’t do that again,” the principal, Lee Frost, told the students after they met during a lunch period, sat at an empty table and quietly prayed together, the institute said.

Frost then told the students they could pray only if they went on the cafeteria’s stage behind the curtain, outside of the school building, or in the gym while no one was present.

“In other words, the students were told that they could not pray in view of the other students,” First Liberty explained.

“Students should not have to hide or be exiled to pray for each other,” said Keisha Russell, associate counsel for First Liberty. “School officials need to remember that students don’t lose their First Amendment rights at the school house gate. We’re hoping this issue can be resolved quickly and easily.”

First Liberty sent a letter to Supt. Todd Morrison of Honey Grove Independent School District in Honey Grove, Texas this week.

The legal team explained it was representing Carrie Allen on behalf of her daughter, Hannah Allen, an eighth-grader.

“In early September 2018, Hannah and a group of other students decided to pray for one of their former classmates who had recently been in an accident. During lunch when students are permitted to talk and move around the cafeteria, the students walked to an empty table, held hands, and quietly prayed with one another. Almost immediately after, Principal Lee Frost, walked over to the students and told them in response to the student-initiated, student-led prayer, ‘Ya’ll don’t do that again.'”

But the letter explains to the school that the students religious expression is protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and since she did not “disrupt the educational environment of the school,” praying should have been permitted.

The legal team cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s conclusion there “can be no doubt that the First Amendment protects the right to pray.”

“By mandating that Hannah and the other students hide when they pray, Principal Frost sends a message to Hannah and all the other students in the school that prayer is illegitimate, disfavored, and should not occur in public,” First Liberty said. “By quarantining the praying students as if to shield the other students form an infectious disease, Principal Frost acts with religious hostility impermissible under the Constitution and demeans the religious beliefs of Hannah and her friends.”

Morrison told WND the letter was “pretty fictitious” and that kids “have an opportunity to be open in prayer … every day.”

He said Frost reacted because students were involving other students in prayer when they didn’t want to be.

The Department of Education explains: “Students may pray when not engaged in school activities or instruction, subject to the same rules designed to prevent material disruption of the educational program that are applied to other privately initiated expressive activities.”

The letter notes the Texas Association of School Boards allows for tolerance of religious beliefs, and while such policy may be in place at Honey Grove, “it is not being applied to the students.”

When I use Uber, sometimes a driver arrives who does not speak English. If he can't speak it he can't read the road signs either. This tells me he is here illegally using ID he bought from someone. When applying to drive for Uber one never has to walk into an office. All is done online. They really don't know who they're hiring. I could be Joe Blow from Kocomo, a mass murdering rapist, uploading any ID I desire and get the job. That's why when I get in an Uber car, whether man or woman, I sit in the back.

English needs to be made the universal language here. For some reason it is not. I'd like to see this issue on a b****t. This is America. Nothing should be in any other language but English.

I read an article about an American writer in France. It was time to renew his visa. Guess what? All legal documents are in French, just as it should be. He had to get someone to help him fill it out. You'd think being in France he would bother to learn the language.

Previous medicare cards had your social security number on them which makes you ripe for ID theft. If your card was lost or stolen, the thief has all he needs to destroy your credit and possibly your life. Then you'd eventually have folks knocking on your door or calling your phone looking for their money for items you didn't buy.

I'm not on medicare but, some years back there was a knock on my door. I don't answer if I'm not expecting anyone. Whoever it was left a tag on the door knob. Someone bought a car using my information and didn't pay for it. I went straight to the police station with it. Identity theft, they said. They called the number on the card and instructed that person to not contact me again. Later, I received notice that someone had gotten two Amscot loans several months apart after not paying the first one off. Again, using my information. I called them. Told them I had no loans with them and asked if they even bother to verify information on the loan application. Told them it looks like an inside job to me that they give another loan to the same person when they didn't pay off the first one. Crickets. My address and phone number at that time I'd had for years. Never heard any more from them.

The change on the medicare cards is for your safety.

The good news is that an EO is not necessary. There is no birthright citizenship in the 14th Amendment. That BS started in the 1960's and was not the original intent of the writer of that section of the Constitution, Senator Jacob M. Howard of MI (1862-1871), who fully made it known the intent DOES NOT include i******s. Therefore, Trump would be UPHOLDING the original intent of the 14th Amendment, just as he should. RINO Ryan is ignorant about the Constitution and dead wrong about his assumptions on birthright citizenship. His reading comprehension sk**ls are appalling. And that goes for anyone else who thinks the Constitution guarantees birthright citizenship. It doesn't.

President Trump Readies Plan to End Birthright Citizenship Via Executive Action

President Donald Trump is moving forward with a plan to end birthright citizenship via executive action, he said in an interview with Axios released on Tuesday.
“On immigration, some legal scholars believe you can get rid of birthright citizenship without changing the Constitution,” Axios’ Jonathan Swan asked President Trump in the video interview.

“With an executive order,” Trump replied.

“Exactly,” Swan followed up. “Have you thought about that?”

“Yes,” Trump replied.

“Tell me more,” Swan implored.

“It was always told to me that you needed a Constitutional amendment–guess what? You don’t,” Trump said. “Number one, you don’t need that. Number two, you can definitely do it with an act of Congress. But now they’re saying I can do it with just an executive order. Now, how ridiculous–we are the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits? It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous–and it has to end.”

Swan asked if Trump has discussed this matter with legal counsel for the White House and he confirmed he has, and that this is “in the process.”

“It will happen–with an executive order, that’s what you’re talking about right?” Trump said. “I didn’t think anybody knew that but me, I thought I was the only one.”

Revoking birthright citizenship would have immediate and far-reaching consequences. It would mean the children of i*****l a***ns, even if born in the United States, would not be bestowed U.S. citizenship upon birth. It would also likely deter the practice of foreigners having “anchor babies,” where they aim to give birth to children on U.S. soil so as to obtain U.S. citizenship for their children at birth.

In fact, the anchor baby population–those born in the United States to at least one i*****l a***n parent–has skyrocketed in recent years. According to a recent Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report, the total anchor-baby population now exceeds the annual number of U.S. citizen births from American citizens.

Trump moving forward on such plans would likely set off a legal and political battle of epic proportions, as lawsuits would come in challenging the order’s legality and the president’s authority to act via executive action on this front. But there also remains a possibility, if Republicans hold the House in next week’s midterm e******ns and add seats in the Senate, that a more permanent legislative fix not dependent on who is in the White House could come for dealing with ending birthright citizenship.

Lindsey Graham to Introduce Bill Ending Birthright Citizenship ‘Magnet’ for I*****l I*********n

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced on Tuesday that he plans to introduce legislation ending birthright citizenship for children born to i*****l i*******ts on American soil, citing it as a “magnet for i*****l i*********n.”
President Donald J. Trump announced on Tuesday that he plans to draft an executive order to end birthright citizenship for children of i*****l i*******ts born in America.

Trump told Axios’ Jonathan Swan:

But now they’re saying I can do it with just an executive order. Now, how ridiculous–we are the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits? It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous–and it has to end.

Sen. Graham cheered Trump’s move against birthright citizenship, citing it as a significant “magnet” for i*****l i*********n.

“Finally, a president willing to take on this absurd policy of birthright citizenship,” Graham said in a statement. “I’ve always supported comprehensive immigration reform – and at the same time – the elimination of birthright citizenship.”

Graham continued explaining that birthright citizenship is a foreign concept in most modern countries.

The South Carolina Republican said, “The United States is one of two developed countries in the world who grant citizenship based on location of birth. This policy is a magnet for i*****l i*********n, out of the mainstream of the developed world, and needs to come to an end.”

Eliminating birthright citizenship would prevent children born of i*****l a***ns would not receive citizenship status and would likely deter the practice of foreigners having “anchor babies” where immigrants plan to give birth to children on American soil to obtain citizenship for their children.

The anchor baby population has skyrocketed in recent years. One Congressional Budget Office (CBO) study found that the anchor baby population per year exceeds the number of American citizens births from American citizens.

To enshrine Trump’s executive order into law, Graham said that he plans to draft legislation to codify the president’s changes to birthright citizenship.

Graham said, “In addition, I plan to introduce legislation along the same lines as the proposed executive order from President Trump.”

The Daily Mail reports that locals in Asotthalom, Hungary have been finding groups of immigrants scattered across their farms, sleeping in people’s gardens and outbuildings, as watched in horror as thousands stream through the center of their village on their way to other parts of Europe.

Hoping to send a very clear message to Muslim refugees that “Hungary is a bad choice for migrants,” the unapologetic mayor has stayed true to his word in sending “a group of muscular men using motorbikes, helicopters, and even horses to race across the countryside in pursuit of human quarry,” MailOnline reported.

‘It is very important for the village to preserve its traditions,’ he says. ‘We can see large Muslim communities in western Europe that haven’t been able to integrate — and we don’t want to have the same experience here.’

He has announced new rules for the town he runs, and wants the rest of Hungary to follow suit, banning the building of mosques, making the Muslim call to prayer illegal, and banning the burqa and the ‘burkini’ swimsuit. He says the measures are key to preventing Muslims ‘causing fear, alarm and shock among the locals’.

There is no doubt that millions of his fellow countrymen share his distaste for migrants. The most obvious manifestation of this is the forbidding wire fence — dubbed the new ‘Iron Curtain’ by some — that now stretches 110 miles along the border with Serbia.

Once the camouf**ge-clad bounty h****rs capture their targets, they wrestle them to the ground and hog tie them. Other efforts to slow the migrant flow are just as merciless, with a 110-mile razor fence, ban on building mosques, the Muslim call to prayer has now been made illegal there, and the burqa and the “burkini” swimsuit are no longer allowed.

I took it to mean exactly what Sen Howard said. Some i***t somewhere terribly misinterpreted the 14th and allowed Rubio to run for POTUS. His parents came here from Cuba. They were not legal citizens when he was born here. It wasn't until he was about 6 years old when they became legal. To me that doesn't cover little marco which means he is STILL under the jurisdiction of Cuba. Neither of his parents are natural born. If I'm not mistaken at least one parent has to be a natural born citizen, some say both have to be natural born citizens. Neither of marco's parents are natural born making him eligible to run for POTUS and never should have been allowed to. I hold that little marco is an anchor baby and is here illegally.

Rubio pulled a "Sessions" and recused himself from his job as Florida Senator, v**ed in by his constituents. He then decided he was running for POTUS for which he is ineligible. He flipped his constituents his middle finger and told them he was too busy running for president to do his job as Florida Senator. He missed countless senate v**es, his job, and continued to receive a paycheck upwards of about $75,000 PLUS got $10,000 of NObamaCARE credits for which he is NOT entitled, to pay for his healthcare for him and his family. Just think of it. An American citizen somewhere who makes less than half of what Rubio makes, is helping Rubio pay for his healthcare. I find this outrageous.

Not to mention some little document that Rubio and others signed that makes their government positions a "small business", therefore allowing him and others to get the credits to pay for their healthcare premiums. There's a whole lot of devil in the details.

Technology stocks, which had been the best-performing part of the market earlier in 2018, suffered the biggest declines. The Nasdaq composite, home to many of the market's most popular tech stocks, plunged 4.4 percent, pushing it down 12.3 percent from its late August high and deeper into official "correction" territory.

The latest swoon, which knocked the S&P 500 down more than 3 percent Wednesday, signaled to many Wall Street pros that the decline was entering a new, more dangerous phase. There's growing concern now that this decline is more than a garden variety pullback, or drop of 5 percent to 9.99 percent, and could morph into a drop of 10 percent or more for the broad market.

"With the big sell-off today, the market may have moved from pullback into correction territory," says Nick Sargen, chief economist and senior investment advisor for Fort Washington Investment Advisors.

After Wednesday's rout, the S&P was 9.4 percent below its Sept. 20 record and the Dow was 8.4 percent lower than its Oct. 3 all-time high. Both of the closely watched indexes are now down less than 1 percent for the year.

The Dow fell 608 points, or 2.4 percent, to 24,583.

Fears about the economy, earnings

The sharp, swift decline has been sparked by fears that the U.S. economy and corporate earnings will start to slow due to trade disputes, more interest rate increases from the Federal Reserve and slowing growth in China, the world's second-largest economy.

"This is a correction," said Bruce Bittles, chief investment strategist at money management firm Baird. "The question is does it lead to a bear market," or a decline of more than 20 percent,

Technology stocks and media and communications companies accounted for most of the selling. AT&T sank after reporting weak subscriber numbers, and chipmaker Texas Instruments fell sharply after reporting slumping demand.

Banks, health care and industrial companies also took heavy losses.

Disappointing quarterly results and outlooks weighed on the market, stoking investors' jitters over future growth in corporate profits. Bond prices continued to rise, sending yields lower.

"You've seen more discouraging (company) commentary this quarter than you have the last two," said Tom Martin, senior portfolio manager with Globalt Investments. "You're really starting to get more of a groundswell of caution. There's some concern about the fourth quarter and what that's going to look like."

Investors were weighing the latest batch of company results in the busiest week of the quarterly earnings calendar.

S&P 500 companies are expected to deliver 22 percent earnings growth for the third quarter, with every sector except communications services – which includes Walt Disney, AT&T, Netflix and Google parent Alphabet – expected to show earnings growth, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

About 24 percent of the companies in the S&P 500 had reported third-quarter results as of Wednesday. Of those, 57 percent delivered earnings and revenue results that topped Wall Street's forecasts.

Disappointing results

Even so, traders are concerned about future growth amid rising inflation, interest rates and uncertainty over trade. Some companies, including Caterpillar and 3M, have reported disappointing results and warned of rising costs related to tariffs related to the U.S.-China trade dispute.

Among the big companies slated to release quarterly results, this week are Microsoft, Amazon and Colgate-Palmolive.

A wounded veteran is sounding off on a study that found some students are exhibiting symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder following the 2016 e******n.

The study, which was released Monday by the Journal of American College Health, evaluated 769 students at Arizona State University studying psychology in January and February 2017. About 25 percent of respondents reported symptoms of PTSD because Donald T***p w*n the e******n.

“What we were interested in seeing was, did the e******n for some people constitute a traumatic experience? And we found that it did for 25 percent of young adults,” said lead author Melissa Hagan, an assistant professor of psychology at San Francisco State University.

Joey Jones, a retired Marine Corps bomb technician who lost both of his legs in a bomb blast while serving in Afghanistan, took issue with the survey's findings.

"You now have people claiming to have post-traumatic stress disorder because they feel discomfort and uncertainty," Jones said. "What these people felt might be a self-imposed stress disorder, but it's the equivalent to a bad hair day. It's not the equivalent to putting your buddy in a bag. It's not the equivalent to trying to save someone's life and watching it slip away in the middle of combat."

He said it dishonors those veterans who deal with the debilitating effects of the disorder to suggest students who disagree with President Trump's rhetoric and policies also suffer from the condition.

"Men and women recover daily from disorders of post-traumatic stress. And simply being upset over an e******n, in my opinion, doesn't rate something like that."
