Allow me to introduce myself, I have been watching this site for more than 5 months. At the risk of offending almost every last person that post on this site, I just had to join to ask simple questions. Are most of the posters on this site escapees from your local mental institutions? Are there any adults on this site? Now, that sounded harsh and very brash coming from a new person. But, have you stopped to read the posts?

There is a group of people that are so vulgar that they should be rated NC-17. Your consistent tactical assault is to point the finger and I am pretty sure that it is not the index finger you are using, then almost everyone dips into the murk of calling other people names. I suppose it has escaped you, but when you are educated and express most of your views using scatology, your useful or intellectual attempts are then ignored. There is one exception on this site, I think that they say what is on their mind and they will use terms tailored to the individual they are trying to communicate… Hats off to you! An often overlooked fact, people become deaf to belligerent and nasty people.

On the other extreme, there are those who are obsessed with culinary delights and spends what appears like hours discussing food. The thing with that, you paint a visual picture of yourself. I bet that this nice woman is thin as a rail, but she must be fixated on her figure and has perhaps is somewhat Cacomorphobic and lives out her fantasy of being able to eat what she wants with her friends.

Then you have the bible people. I respect you folks and there is little doubt that there will be a judgment day for all people. Not much to comment on there because I too believe that if we put God back into our lives then we could put in perspective our Nation’s ills and perhaps make a plan that can be sent to DC.

Moving right along, there are a select few that think they are always right. Here is a surprise, no one is right all the time. And here is another eye opener, you do not need to get the last word on every subject. Sometimes the best response is no response. One person I find hilarious in their self-righteous attempt to prove themselves right, I look for that person’s post because they are in deep deep left field! They try to sound like an intellectual giant and proves themselves to be just plainly spaced out.

Then there is that one person that desperately seeks attention with nonsensical posts and actually pursues people after they leave the site. Talk about odd behavior! Why would anyone let someone get so far under their skin that they would continue to argue with a person that has said their good by? What that says to me, the other person may have been onto something.

And then there are the “pity me” people. Sure some of the above can fit into this class, but there are some that project the innocent who have been wronged. You know who you are. Each time you post, but they said I was a (fill in the blank) you are not proving anything other than you skin is real thin and you are making yourself a target. Just stop it, remember you can elect to not respond to angry BS.

Yes, this site has a mixture of personalities; some I have grown to enjoy their exchanges, like the nice woman and her friends that rarely engage in any political discussions. I like this group, they remind me of a book club, or friends that get together for friendly poker games. I am very fond of the bible people, save one or two. The one, already discussed that is so sanctimonious that they are actually very vile…using their favorite word to describe another poster. The other, well they just cannot believe that Jews exist. What I do not see much of is discussions on political matters with any discussion on solutions.

One may ask, where do I fit, which group. None. What do I believe in, God, America, home should be a sanctuary where one can feel safe, and children deserve better education than they are receiving at home and in our educational institution, but mostly I believe in you and our ability to make the US a better place!

sooo.... will you be joining us? or did you make that account just to rip on us? we are all somewhat insane here, but hey, so is politics. go ahead and test the waters, you speak your mind, that is always good, but I don't think what you say is how it really is here. I mean to be honest a lot of it is true, no doubt fingers are pointed with out any logical proof, no doubt fights are sparked easily, yes this site DOES have a mixture of personalities, and quite frankly I came here looking to discuss solutions to problems that plague us, but now I have given up on that. I am more focused on retaining information and trying to simply make sense of this to hope that I can create a solution in my own head, then I spit it out here, wait for criticism and people to tear it apart, then I learn from them, if they methodically and logically tear it apart, I modify and add to it, then spit it out again, mostly on my doc, sometimes here if they are incomplete or have become ripe to be updated with some outside reason and understanding. I don't really do this anymore, I don't really submit hot topics either, I just read what others say and hope the incredible bias and hatred doesn't rub off on me as I extract and learn from the parts that make sense, a lot of it doesn't, but there is also a LOT to be learned here. a LOT. there are also many very nice and educated people here.

but I have gone through some self-counseling, and now I can finally leave that document be and focus on other things. I have had my last entry, I dont hope to have any more, ever, just leave it be, and if I ever write a book, all of that is going in it.

Ya ever seen the movie "Wonder Boys" PM? It sounds as if you kind of have a "Professor Tripp" thing going on. Michael Douglas plays a writer and college professor that just can't write the ending to his book.

Vernon Hardapple: Why did you keep writing this book if you didn't even know what it was about?

Grady Tripp: I couldn't stop.

Walter Gaskell: Are you drinking, Professor Tripp, right now?

Grady Tripp: [smoking weed] No.

Couldn't help notice you were from WA. Not your problem I hope.

hahahaha it is legal here but no, not had a drip of alcohol or a rip of a bong, I just sorta have assorted, unorganized philosophical thoughts that go through my head and I feel the need to record them, the ones that are most profound and perplexing. so as for as that goes, as long as there is one question in the world, the document will never end. as long as one confusing thought lingers, it will not cease to be recorded and broken down.
kinda sucks to think so much, you end up confusing yourself if you cant keep track of the order of your thoughts. also it pains me when I cant find a definitive answer. really weird, even to me, I didn't used to be like this, then my brain went into overdrive and has been racing ever since :-)
for me I used to be very christian and reserved and still then I observed a lot more than most other kids, then I got older, and like a cup that run'th over, my thoughts were everywhere, they managed to spill all over the document.

Yikes!

this took me a loong time, and since my school has a server you can save stuff on for free, I thought why not start recording these thoughts I have about this kind of stuff, and it has been about a whole year, lot of stuff have has been learned, and it is actually very spotty, very bipolar in its entries, but my goal was thirty, then fifty six. I am stopping here cause this is getting out of hand. my writing sk**ls have improved though! but yea Im done with this, I am breaking it down, and tearing it apart. I will make sense of it, and be done with it.

Fifty pages hand written in big scrawly letters skipping a line on loose-leaf paper: anything more seems overwhelmingly daunting. Good luck. I have always had a hard time putting "my stuff" out there without me nearby to edify and correct any "misreadings." Very brave!

No, this is on a word document, I have it saved in six places (backups) and a password to open it.
it is well secured and organized.
I keep that kinda stuff secure.

I'd have to agree with you, but I see hundreds, or more, of hummingbirds every year. Rarely do I see a bald eagle... usually near the shores of our lake. They are majestic birds...the bald eagles. Hummingbirds are just damn entertaining and fascinating!

a lot is in a few words, a LOT, but it all depends on perception, for some it could mean thirty pages, others less than what was even said.
