At the risk of offending the Peoples Republic of China, here are some facts regarding the spread of the W***n C****aV***s:

Why Italy and Iran?
Italy and Iran have been two of the countries hardest hit by the W***n c****av***s, outside of China. Why? Helen Raleigh explains at The Federalist:

The reason these two countries are suffering the most outside China is mainly due to their close ties with Beijing, primarily through the “One Belt and One Road” (OBOR) initiative.

OBOR is Beijing’s foreign policy play disguised as infrastructure investment. Here’s how it works: China and country X agree to do an infrastructure project in country X. Country X has to borrow from a Chinese bank to finance the project. A contract is always awarded to Chinese companies, which then bring supplies and Chinese employees to country X to build the project.

As a result of One Belt and One Road, there are more than 300,000 Chinese living in Italy.

Almost exactly a year ago in March 2019, against warnings from the EU and the United States, Italy became the first and only G7 country to sign onto OBOR. As part of the deal, Italy opened an array of sectors to Chinese investment, from infrastructure to t***sportation, including letting Chinese state-owned companies hold a stake in four major Italian ports. …

Lombardy and Tuscany are the two regions that saw the most Chinese investment. Nearly a year later, the first W***n c****av***s infection case in Italy was reported in the Lombardy region on Feb. 21. Today, Italy is experiencing the worst c****av***s outbreak outside China, and Lombardy is the hardest-hit region in the country.

The Iran case is interesting as well:

2019 was the year Iran officially signed up to OBOR. China sees Iran as a crucial player to this initiative because Iran is not only rich in oil but also lies in a direct path of an ambitious 2,000-mile railroad China wants to build, which will run from western China through Tehran and Turkey into Europe.

Today, Iranian health officials trace the country’s c****av***s outbreak to Qom, a city of a million people. According to the Wall Street Journal, “China Railway Engineering Corp. is building a $2.7 billion high-speed rail line through Qom. Chinese technicians have been helping refurbish a nuclear-power plant nearby.” Iranian medical professionals suspect either Chinese workers in Qom or an Iranian businessman who travelled to China from Qom caused the spread of the c****av***s in Qom.

News reports indicate that a number of high Iranian officials have contracted c****av***s, and I believe at least one or two have died. Raleigh explains:

Although on Feb. 1 the Iranian government banned its airlines from flying to China, it made an exception for Mahan Air, an unofficial airline for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The WSJ reported that Mahan Air “had carried out eight flights between Tehran and China between Feb. 1 and Feb. 9 to t***sfer Chinese and Iranian passengers to their respective home countries.” This explains why so many high-level Iranian officials are infected by the c****av***s, including First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri and more than 20 lawmakers.

Relying on China for economic development was never a good idea, but it turned out to be more dangerous than we knew.

Thanks for making all of us aware of OBOR. A google search returned 63K hits can be found at https://tinyurl.com/Chinese-OBOR-Initiative. Some interesting facts which when taken into context of the c****av***s indicates that the spread of it from China might be found in every continent, not just Italy and Iran.

Suggest switching channels and watching either Stuart Varney on Fox Business (at 9am to noon E.T.) or NEWSMAX (which is a relatively new news channel that I only discovered two weeks ago.)

I watch as little news as possible as I find that all the channels lean or are bent one way or the other, which is disturbing. We never get news any longer - we get opinions - AND I have the ability to form my own. I don't need a talking head to tell or suggest/imply to me how to think. I find more of a variety of new and viewpoints on OPP which is more refreshing and "the real news".

As business and travel have ground to a near halt around the world one very obvious positive has come of it, a tremendous reduction in most types of pollution. The canals in Venice are clean and dolphins fish and birds not seen in years have returned. Air pollution around the world is way down as is the pollution dumped in the lakes streets and oceans. This improvement in air quality is of course a blessing for people with repertory illness and those unfortunate enough to contract the v***s. You would think this is something everyone would feel good about, the silver lining of a dark cloud. But not the I***t Pumpkinfurher. Under his order the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has suspended its enforcement of environmental laws during the ongoing c****av***s outbreak, signaling to companies they will not face any sanction for polluting the air or water of Americans.

In an extraordinary move that has stunned former EPA officials, the Trump administration said it will not expect compliance with the routine monitoring and reporting of pollution and won’t pursue penalties for breaking these rules.

What the hell is wrong with this moron, has he no shame to go with a complete lack of common sense? The congress should add a line to the current rescue bill that insists the EPA enforce our environmental laws.
As business and travel have ground to a near halt ... (show quote)

Kevyn - You could have been fair minded, but you decided to not do that - JUST LIKE THE F**E NEWS NETWORKS.
I found an article from The Guardian at https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/mar/27/trump-pollution-laws-epa-allows-companies-pollute-without-penalty-during-c****av***s.
While you are correct quoting "In an extraordinary move that has stunned former EPA officials", you conveniently did not add, "Polluters will be able to ignore environmental laws as long as they can claim in some way these violations were caused by the C****-** p******c. In the event of an imminent threat to public health, the EPA will defer to the states and “consider the circumstances” over whether it should intervene."
In other words, the EPA still has the discretion to enforce regulations if they deem it necessary - considering the circumstances.
Trump didn't tell the EPA to shut its doors and turn their heads to violations. Key words for me - consider the circumstances. So, even if a company pollutes and the EPA deems that the C****-** p******c had nothing to do with a regulation violation, the circumstances deem that the EPA would/should enforce the regulations. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that's a common sense approach, with the hope being that companies will be "good citizens" and will not take advantage of the C****-** p******c to overtly and intentionally pollute. Yeah, it puts a lot of faith in corporations to not violate regs, but then this is an extraordinary time that requires some faith in people (who are corporate America) to use good practices.
It seems to me that the oil refineries in Texas - if upon investigation - are actually in violation as described in this article, the EPA should strictly enforce the regulations; and the Congress and the Trump Administration should kick-ass and take names - take names of the people in charge and take direct action against them.

First Trump does not understand what testing really means because now he is saying by Easter he will fill up all the churches in the country.

Instead of Trump spending time and the powers that he has to get testing kits that are so desperately needed.

Trump fails to understand that in certain communities the v***s and the number are high when these communities are identified they can order stay at home and contain the v***s from spreading outside the community. Not s**t down the entire country but governors have not the number of test kits needed.

(BUT WHAT THIS COUNTRY HAS TO UNDERSTAND, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A PERIOD IN TRUMPS LIFE WHEN HE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF ANYBODY BUT HIMSELF)

This week alone Trump actually admitted he knew before the World Health Organization even announced that we had a p******c. How can Trump supporters ignore that statement and Trump did nothing he just downplayed the v***s and said not to worry it’s no worse than the flu and it will go away in late February he told the AMERICAN people we only have 15 cases in this country and all are doing well. But Trump ignored the warnings of his own government officials, his favorite by classifying MSM as f**e news, but took all his advice from Sean Hannity and Jared Kushner.

Dr F***i who has served every president since Ronald Reagan. At the Trump news conference after Trump down played and told the AMERICAN people that he will end this lockdown and fill the church’s by Easter Sunday. Dr F***i states it’s not good public policy to lift restrictions in the midst of a rapid outbreak that will make the problem worse. (TRUMP WENT BALLISTIC AFTER THE NEWS CONFERENCE AND ACTUALLY WANTED TO FIRE DR. F***I THE NEWS CONFERENCE THE NEXT DAY TRUMP WOULD NOT ALLOW HIM TO ATTEND THE NEWS CONFERENCE BECAUSE HE WAS BECOMING THE MOST TRUSTED ADVISER ON HONEST INFORMATION AND TRUMP H**ES THAT HE WANTS TO BE THE SMARTEST GUY IN THE ROOM. Trump was livid and blew his typical white house childish tantrums. So stay tuned folks F***i is on his way out.

Trump all thru January, February and March has downplayed this v***s everybody in this country knows it. The American people are beginning to understand that Trump leads thru ignorance now Trump is looking at the airlines who are considering shutting down, and that will cripple this country.
But Trump even today continues to lie misinform.

Now nobody is blaming Trump for c****-** but this country can damm sure blame him for downplaying the seriousness of this disease for 3 months, and the potential it would have on our economy. Had Trump focused on testing which he ignored and told the AMERICAN people who ever wants to get tested can, we all know that’s not true, Trump can’t even get a mask for our medical personnel, would the effect on our economy be as bad. Not to mention when the financial crisis of 2007 2008 and 2009 that was created by the republicans thru deregulation of the banks screamed and yelled like children when Obama put a stimulus package together and they fought like hell to stop it. They screamed about bailing out the Auto industry. But they were for creating a subsidy for the banks that created the Bush recession. Now the republicans have created the largest stimulus package of over $2 trillion dollars and not one Republican has opened there mouth. McConnell blames democrats, for blocking the bill because McConnell wanted to hand Donald Trump $545 billion slush fund for Trump too spend on wh**ever he wanted and way to track where Trump was spending these tax payer funds.

Now we are listening to old people are willing to die so Trump can loosen restrictions on the economy. Actually Trump can’t lift restrictions because he never took any action it’s the Governors in all 50 states that issued lock downs but when Trump governs through ignorance he thinks he can. (OKAY ALL YOU SARAH PHALIN FANS WHO BELIEVED HER BS ON DEATH PANELS NOW THE REPUBLICANS ARE ACTUALLY ADVOCATING DEATH PANELS) Okay republicans who dies and who gets to live what age group do you want to just die.

I could go line by line of your post to rebut your notions - but instead, I'll summarize by saying like all liberals you are a pessimistic person with a fatalist attitude all built around TDS.

One of the jobs of a leader is to attempt to instill hope and optimism. Maybe filling churches on Easter Sunday is not doable, but it is a goal worth pursuing and starts people thinking in a "get out of this mess" attitude. Somebody has to start the ball rolling and the most logical person is the President.

How about the churches fill up instead on the following Sunday, April 19 or maybe even seven days after that on April 26. What are you really afraid of - that the churches will be filled with God fearing people or that Trump is successful? TDS has a strange affect on people. Seems you've fallen right into that TDS pitfall.

Do you ever have a positive thought? And yes, Trump will have a $545 billion dollar slush fund to use any way he sees fit - which was approved by our Congress - the people we elect. As far as who dies and who doesn't, none of us will die including yourself. Best wishes! Kind regards! Signed - An optimist with a positive attitude and view of what lies ahead for our country both economically as well as our overall health.

BTW, when the hotel industry does get a bailout, wouldn't it be a positive move for the country? When Obama bailed out the auto industry, it was considered a master stroke by his administration.

I agree with what you've said. It seems to me that there is "no end game", i.e., when will it all end, or better said, what is it (what event or metrics) that will trigger that everything is okay and there is no cause for alarm anymore. From everything I've read or seen on the news all of that is still being worked out. But until then, I will say to all of this "Why the panic?" Hopefully conclusive answers will be forthcoming.

10 Cases of Conservative Hypocrisy
Jamie Frater
Listverse. com

This list is a companion piece to the earlier “10 Cases of Liberal Hypocrisy”, which took issue with Alan Colme’s statement that only conservatives could be “infected” with hypocrisy. The thesis was that hypocrisy is a sad part of the human condition, and no one person or ideology is immune. In the interest of fairness, I decided to take on the other side, and was positively spoiled for choices.

10. David Cameron
Hypocrisy: Cycling to Work But Chauffeuring His Documents in a Car
David Cameron is a conservative Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom. He is a noted environmentalist and famously cycles to work on a near-daily basis. However, he also has an assistant follow him in a car to carry his briefcase. Two words, Dave: thumb drive. You can decide where to stick it when you’re riding.

9. John Wayne
Hypocrisy: The War Movie Hero That Never Went to War
Well, kinda. I’m being a little harsh here, but Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda jumped through hoops to serve. In 1941, Wayne was 34 years old with a failing marriage and four kids to feed. Sure, his career was starting to flourish, but he definitely wasn’t a star and he definitely wasn’t rich. So from 1939-1944 he got a 3A deferment (deferred for dependency reasons). In 1944, Wayne received a 1-A classification (ready for immediate induction), but the president of RKO Pictures threatened to sue the government and Wayne personally if he enlisted. A month later the Selective Service reclassified him 2-A (deferred in the national interest). Wayne made 13 (mostly war) films during the war and became the very image of the American soldier. He also became a bona fide star and made a few halfhearted attempts to serve, but never really followed up. No one knows why. But after the war, Wayne became “the most famous Republican in Hollywood”, and was an ardent anti-c*******t (even supporting the House of Un-American Affairs committee). All who knew Wayne said that not serving was “the most painful experience of his life”, and that it haunted him the rest of his days.

8. Mark Foley
Hypocrisy: Condemning Clinton’s Sex Scandal While Sexting Underage Boys
Mark Foley was a Florida congressman who lamented that Bill Clinton’s runaway sexual addiction caused his scandal with Monica Lewinsky. And yet Foley had demons of his own. On September 29th, 2006 Foley resigned his congressional seat after reports surfaced that he was sending sexually explicit text messages and emails to teenage male congressional pages. Foley insisted he was not a p*******e and had never had sexual contact with any minor. Then he dipped into the media excuse bag and decided to used ALL of them at once: he blamed his emails on a drinking problem, checked himself into a rehab clinic, and said that he had been molested by a clergyman when he 13. To top it off, he decided that NOW was the time come out, and bravely had his lawyer inform the public that “Mark Foley wants you to know he is a gay man.” Many pages came forward after Foley’s announcement, but Florida officials closed the investigation citing “insufficient evidence” to file criminal charges.

7. Robert Tilton
Hypocrisy: Prayer Fraud
Robert Tilton is an American televangelist who achieved notoriety in the ‘80s and early ‘90s through his TV program Success-N-Life, a very slick and well rehearsed perversion of the “prosperity gospel”. Tilton promised that, for a $1000 pledge, he would personally lobby God on your behalf. All you would have to do was send in your check and he would pray over the very letter you sent him. Today, all of you know him as “The Farting Preacher”, but back in the day people sent their entire life savings to this guy. At its peak, Success N Life was in all 235 American TV markets, and was earning $80M a year, tax free. But in 1991, ABC News discovered Tilton’s ministry threw away prayer requests without even reading them, keeping only the money or valuables instead. When confronted with these claims, Tilton claimed that he would pray over computer readouts of prayer requests, or sometimes lay across piles of mail as he prayed (even claiming that chemicals in those letters gave him two “mini strokes” in his brain). Tilton sued ABC for libel in 1992, but the case was dismissed and his show was off the air by October 1993. He later resurfaced on Black Entertainment Television (BET) in the early morning hours. Ole Anthony, founder of the religious watchdog group the Trinity Foundation, said Tilton pays $50,000 per month for the air time, and estimates that Tilton’s ministry is grossing $24 million a year using reruns or repackaged versions of older shows. “With no production costs, a fraction of his former TV time budget, his net must rival that of the good old days with absolutely no effort on his part,” Anthony said.

6. Ted Haggard
Hypocrisy: Condemning Homosexuality While Practicing Homosexuality
Ted Haggard is the founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and former leader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003 – 2006. Haggard has condemned homosexuality, and under his leadership, the NAE stated that “homosexual activity, like adulterous relationships, is clearly condemned in the Scriptures.” Yet in November 2006, he “left” all of his leadership positions after he admitted soliciting a prostitute for homosexual sex and methamphetamine. After the scandal broke, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive “counseling”, overseen by four ministers who claimed to have converted him back to heterosexuality. When pressed, they backtracked and merely said Haggard is a “heterosexual with issues.” Ya think?

5. Bob Barr
Hypocrisy: Opposing A******n While Paying For An A******n
Bob Barr, is a former member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Georgia’s 7th congressional district as a Republican from 1995 to 2003. He gained national attention as one of several leaders who successfully impeached President Bill Clinton. According to a sworn affidavit by Barr’s ex-wife Gail, the longtime a******n opponent paid for her a******n in 1983. Barr never publicly disputed the affidavit, and the author of the Defense of Marriage Act even invoked a legal privilege during his 1985 divorce so he could refuse any questions on whether he c***ted on his second wife with his now-third wife. Barr has recently resurfaced as the Libertarian Party’s nominee for President of the United States (he lost).

4. Rush Limbaugh
Hypocrisy: Illicit Drug Sourcing
Rush Limbaugh is the host of “The Rush Limbaugh Show”, a nationally syndicated radio program dev**ed to conservative issues and news of the day. On his program, Limbaugh has espoused a deep respect of law enforcement and tough penalties for drug offenders (In 1995, he said drug users “ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.”) Yet on October 10, 2003, Limbaugh announced that he was addicted to prescription paink**lers and would immediately check himself into a rehabilitation program. Law enforcement sources had noted that Limbaugh’s name had come up during an investigation into a black market drug ring in Palm Beach County, Florida, specializing in the illegal sale of prescription drugs OxyContin and hydrocodone. Limbaugh said he first became addicted to prescription paink**lers following unsuccessful spinal surgery, but has remained clean since his 2003 treatment. Limbaugh was not incarcerated because Palm Beach does not jail drug offenders unless they’ve failed opportunities to deal with their addiction and have turned to crime to maintain their habit. Thus, benefiting from the soft position on drug crime that he h**es so.

3. George Bush, Sr.
Hypocrisy: No New Taxes
At the 1988 Republican National Convention, candidate George H.W. Bush famously said “Read my lips: no new taxes!”. It was a strong, bold statement, and the soundbyte resonated within the Republican party, which then backed him all the way to a successful e******n as the 41st President of the United States. Once in office, Bush refused several new tax initiatives from a Democrat controlled Congress, but ultimately relented, and agreed to increase the amount of existing taxes in the 1990 budget agreement. Rush Limbaugh went apoplectic and the general public was only slightly less enraged. While technically the taxes weren’t “new”, they were still “more”, and that’s not what his e*****rate him to do. Bill Clinton then used Bush’s quote to an easy victory in the 1992 p**********l e******n.

2. Richard Nixon
Hypocrisy: Obstruction of Justice
In 1973, Richard Nixon went on television and told the world “I am not a crook” as part of a total denial of involvement with the June 17th burglaries of the Democratic National Committee offices located in the Watergate Hotel. But he and other high ranking administration officials were actually eyes-deep in it. As a youth, Nixon was rejected by the FBI academy and later in life had to “settle” for President of the United States. This always ate at him, and he loved the cloak-and-dagger aspects of covert operations. Despite warnings to maintain plausible deniability, Nixon kept himself fully apprised of the break-in. Then journalists Robert Woodward and Carl Bernstein exposed the scandal in August 1972. The public disliked the burglary but loathed the cover-up even more, and popular sentiment led to impeachment processes that ultimately drove Nixon to resign the presidency.

1. Strom Thurmond
Hypocrisy: Blocking Civil Rights for His Own Child
When South Carolina Gov. Strom Thurmond ran for president in 1948 on the Dixiecrat ticket, he vowed to bar b****s from white schools, restaurants, and even some occupations. But at the same time he was preaching segregation, he was secretly financing the business administration degree of Essie Mae Washington, a black coed at the all-black South Carolina State College. Why? Because it is widely believed that Ms. Washington is his daughter. By supporting a black woman he supposedly sired, Thurmond considered himself remaining loyal to a Southern Gentleman’s code that required white boys, who often learned about sex “on the colored side of town,” to take care of any children they fathered. To his very death, Thurmond never confirmed nor denied Ms. Washington as his daughter, even when the headline: “SEN. THURMOND IS UNPRINCIPLED — WITH COLORED OFFSPRING — WHILE PARADING AS A DEVOUT SEGREGATIONIST” ran in the Edgefield Advertiser, where Ms. Washington went to school.

The only one I will take issue with is Limbaugh's. If you've ever been addicted to something like drugs or alcohol you can understand what he did. I'm not condoning or forgiving him, but an addict who is truly an addict like Rush was, will do or say most anything to justify and hide their addictions. Its an embarrassment. I know - I've been there. Having a little empathy for Rush would be something I'd ask. The other guys are purely politicians who deserve to be hammered - and I say that as a Republican. John Wayne did everything by the book - and I don't care that he didn't serve on active duty in WW2. I'm not going to take the time to do the research, but I'm POSITIVE that there has to be at least ONE Democrat who did the same thing as The Duke. Wanna bet? I'd say, the odds are in my favor that there is at least one Democrat in the entire country that did the same thing. As Lucy would say - BLAH! Lastly, I don't give a crap about who the Democrats are that should be designated as Hypocrites because I believe that all Democrats should be vilified and condemned for being C*******t.

How Obamacare has been Secretly Funding A******ns with Your Tax Dollars
Craig Huey ~ March 4, 2020
It’s been devious and dishonest…

It’s pretended to comply with federal law prohibiting the use of federal funds to pay for a******n – but it hasn’t complied at all…

And it’s been so convoluted and complicated that few people have understood it.

But President Trump has pulled the curtain back and revealed the hidden t***h.

Let me explain.

Since 1994, the Hyde Amendment – originally passed in 1976 but relaxed in 1994 – has prohibited the use of taxpayer funds to pay for a******n except in the following 3 situations:

• The pregnancy is the result of rape
• The pregnancy is the result of incest
• The pregnancy threatens to take the life of the mother

The language of the 2700-page Affordable Care Act (ACA) – also known as Obamacare – pretended to implement the Hyde Amendment restrictions by making a distinction between a******ns for which federal funding could be used, and a******ns for which federal funding was prohibited.

To be fair, President Obama also issued Executive Order 13535, which stated that federal funding – including premium subsidies and cost-sharing subsidies – could not be used to pay for a******ns unless the mother’s life was in danger or the pregnancy was the result of rape or incest.

But complying with this executive order has been next to impossible…

This is because insurance companies offering coverage for a******n on the federal HealthCare.gov exchange never have been required to make a distinction between a******ns that could be federally funded versus a******ns that could not be federally funded under the Hyde Amendment.

The ACA only requires that companies offering plans covering a******n “collect from each enrollee in the plan (without regard to the enrollee’s age, sex, or family status) a separate payment” for a******n services.

The “separate payment” must be listed as a separate line item on the enrollee’s monthly insurance invoice. But when the enrollee qualifies for a federal subsidy or tax credit, the amount of the subsidy or credit is based on the entire monthly premium – including the amount collected for a******n services.

It’s been an effective “end run” around the taxpayer-funding of a******n restrictions imposed by the Hyde Amendment.

But no more…

The Trump administration has put a stop to the hidden a******n surcharge paid for by your tax dollars…

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has issued a new rule requiring insurance companies that offer plans covering a******n on either the state-based exchanges or the federal exchange to issue two separate monthly bills to enrollees – one for a******n coverage and one for their other healthcare coverage.

This will prevent premium subsidies and tax credits from funding a******n.

Alex Azar, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, said, “The separate billing requirement fulfills Congress’ intent and reflects President Trump’s strong commitment to preventing taxpayer funding of a******n coverage.”

You gotta be kidding me. You just be pulling my chain. Right? You're BS'ing me and everyone else, unless you are a panic monger - which it sounds like you are. What do you do when you're driving and approaching an intersection that has a traffic light and it turns yellow? Do you immediately SLAM ON YOUR BRAKES to come to a an immediate screeching stop, or do you slow down and approach the light, easing on your brakes so slow down and come to a normal stop. Are you the former or the latter? I hope you chose option #2. There is going to have to be a lot more proof that this is going to k**l more people. Right now it's not even as bad as last years flu. NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO PANIC. Even if others don't, you can still use good common sense. The last thing we need is nutjob thinking on this - until there is a real need.

Many of my Trump supporter friends have asked me if I would ever vote for a conservative. Here's my answer. I don't care for Bernies politics very much at all. I am not a socialist. I believe that incentive is a very necessary part of creating a sound economy. I do believe that uncontrolled capitalism needs some regulation because of its power. If Bernie wins the Democratic nomination and was running against an honorable Republican conservative, I would vote for the Republican. I'm talking about another Eisenhower, Reagan, or Busch sr. If the Democrats nominated Donald Trump, I would not only vote Republican, but donate a bunch of bucks to beat him. I ask Republicans on OPP the same question. Under what condition would you vote for a liberal Democrat?

In answer to the question, “Under what condition would you vote for a liberal Democrat?”, NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! I have believed since 1968 that casting a vote for a liberal Democrat was voting for a Socialist/Communist in training. Growing up during the cold war it was the U.S.A. with its free market/capitalist (spontaneous and public society) in contradiction to the U.S.S.R. with communist (tightly controlled and closed society). It was apparent to me even in 1968 that liberal Democrats are always about “big brother” government control and government always being the final, controlled, all knowing, inflexible answer/solution to all problems. It is true at the state and local level as well. So, it was an easy decision for me to register as a Republican because in addition to supporting the need for a strong military and lower taxes, I strongly endorsed a smaller central government. I was in the Navy in 1968 (voted by absentee ballot) and I thought – as I do today - that government control and communism are synonymous. With the way the currently configured Democrat party is being controlled today the A-O-C, Warren and Sanders factions, communism is in full bloom in the (former) liberal Democrat party. Therefore, there is no candidate in the Democrat Party that will get my vote in the upcoming presidential election (nor will any Democrat get my vote at the local and state level elections). Anyone who advocates and champions voting for a person over principles of their party is irrational.

In 5-4 Decision, Supreme Court Drops The Constitution On Immigration – Hands Trump Victory
by Adam Casalino

By Adam Casalino March 5th, 2020

The Supreme Court has been giving Trump recent wins. And in a close decision, they just handed him another one.

What was the big argument? Whether undocumented workers—who steal Americans’ Social Security numbers—can be charged with a crime.

Sounds like a no-brainer, right? Not to the D.C. swamp. They had a law that cleverly protected identity thieves from prosecution.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court disagreed.

From The Epoch Times:

The Supreme Court on March 3 upheld the power of states to pursue i*****l a***ns for identity theft, ruling against three men who used someone else’s Social Security number to gain employment.

In the decision, the justice ruled 5-4 that Kansas can rely on false information used by i*****l a***ns in their W–4 and K–4 tax-withholding forms to prosecute them for identity theft even if they used the same false information on their I-9 work authorization forms.

In a close decision, the Supreme Court ruled that states have the right to prosecute non-citizens who steal SSN’s.

There is a law that made it a crime for anyone to lie on an I-9 form. But the same law created a loophole that let border jumpers steal Americans’ identity.

If they put that same information on an I-9, it couldn’t be used to charge other crimes.

It’s confusing and bizarre—by design.

D.C. lawmakers have for years tried to find ways to protect non-citizens at the expense of Americans.

This law was clearly designed to protect people who stole identities to get work in the U.S.

And it would encourage more to do the same.

But Trump’s Supreme Court decided enough was enough.

They ruled states can do the right thing and stop criminals from robbing Americans.

This should have been "no brainer" with a 9-0 decision. Seems logical to me that ANYONE stealing and using someone else's SSN should be prosecuted and when found guilty, punished to the full extent of the law.

You don't have to go to law school to understand that this is breaking not only the rule of law but common decency as well. While laws usually don't seem to take into account common decency, they usually do take into account common sense.

So, now we have four justices who have law degrees and no common sense. And they are sitting on the highest court in the land passing judgement on the legality of our laws. It is one hell of an indictment of four people that all Americans should be able to look up to with p***e.

Unfortunately, vocal condemnation of these four individuals is the only outlet the average citizen has at this time. But there is a remedy. It is for eligible v**ers to v**e for a president who, when appointing judges to the highest court in the land, appoint judges who will use their law degree and years of experience, plus common sense when applying laws that protect the citizens of this country.

It didn't happen in this case. Regrettably, that appears to be the norm rather than the exception with these nine justices.

And there you have it. When it was white only it was r****t, so when it's black only.....................

Yes, that would place a lot of pressure on the black community (as well as the Hispanic and Asians) to not cry r****m if there were a contest for W****s only. But, for the immediate future, I don't see a White only ANYTHING happening because of the outrage it would cause. I think W****s, like myself, just don't want to put up with and don't think it's worth, all the jealousy, envy and h**e that would result from such an endeavor. The thought of how race enters everything in our lives is sometimes overwhelming and something as a society we may never have the answer for.
There has always been an emphasis and finger pointing on W****s and how they deal with their r****m. This is usually been a huge talking point by the MSM and intensified by our Black and Hispanic leaders. (When was the last time you heard a White politician get up in Congress and call for equal rights for W****s?). The question is, will there ever be a time when other ethnic groups will be vilified, disparaged or libeled for their jealousy, envy and h**e towards W****s as W****s have toward other ethnic groups? I don’t see that happening before I die.

The so-called progressives, I call them regressive always say that everyone should be included, even boy and Girl Scouts! Now, how can you limit color and not be r****t? White, Asian , Hispanic only? Helloooooo!

My grandfather told me that it's r****t to envy or be jealous of what another group of people do or have. Growing up in the 60's, there was Miss Italian-American, Miss German-American, Miss Irish-American, Miss Asian-American et all, (plus the Asians were further refined with Miss Japanese-American, Miss Chinese-American). Essentially, there was a Miss America for every ethnic group you could think off. To my knowledge, in addition to all the ethnic "Miss Somethings", today there is also a Miss Pick-your-nose, Miss Low Tide, Miss Nebraska, Miss Connecticut, etc. So, what's the problem with Miss Black-San Antonio or Miss Black-Anywhere-USA? Or, Miss African-American or Miss Haitian-American? The question is "Why all the jealousy and envy?" It’s been my experience in 73 years that once I stopped the jealousy and envy my r****t tendencies disappeared.

My grandfather was a very good teacher of life and I applied many of his teachings. There was one life learning lesson from him that has had a profound effect on my life. When I was about 12, he said (in his broken Italian) to fill up a basket with the hams, salamis, vegetables, and other food stuffs, plus go down to the basement and "getta me two jugga vino ana putta ina da back seat ofa da car". (He made his own Dago Red.)

When I got to car, the basket was in the back and he said, "Getta ina da fronta." At our destination, he said "You cumma witha me now." At the front door, he removed his hat as he rang the doorbell. The front door was opened by the biggest and blackest woman I'd ever seen.
Entering the house, my grandfather said, "My name Mike Romano. Disa my granda son. Ima knowa your husband longa time. He waza gooda man. Ima have someating fora you ana da family." He and the lady talked while me and a black boy about my age went to the car to get the basket and vino.
When I returned, I heard him tell the lady that he was a barber and to have all the males in her family to, "Comea toa da shoppa tomorrow ana I cutta alla da hair ana I no charge." They conversed for a few more minutes before we left.
As we drove home, the only words he said where "Tomorrow youa comea witha me toa da shoppa. Youa gonna helpa me."
The next day about 15 male family members (ranging in age from about 12 to 60) were waiting for us to arrive. My grandfather cut their hair without charge and made small talk about the man who died.
That day, I learned from Grandpa that there is no room in my life for r****m. It was a good lesson I applied during my 20-year Navy career (well my entire life actually).
Going through life, it has become more and more apparent to me that jealousy and envy lead to h**e, something that has infested and diseased our politics, and therefore how we view and interact with each other. It isn't realistic to think all h**e will be eliminated; however, our country would be an even better place if there was much less of it.
Being jealous and envious of what others have or how they got it is a useless. If I want what others have, I work for it or hope I get it gifted to me (which occasionally happens).
One of the saddest days in my life was when I was 18, my grandfather died. I smile and feel good when I think of him, and I hope he would be proud knowing that I still apply the many lesson in life in taught me. Grandpa never sat me down to say he was going to teach me a life lesson. He lived what I learned from him. Sadly, for the younger generation of today, there is a lack of national leaders (in politics, sports, Hollywood, etc.), as well as local communities, whose actions and behavior they can learn from.
