I am not a fan of Jewel but have nothing against her. I find her music pedestrian, cross genre and overly sentimental. Top 40 mundanity aimed at a market of people similar to Indi car fans. The term middlebrow describes them perfectly. They are not the toothless inbred peckerwoods drawn to the hillbilly merry go round referred to as NASCAR but for the most part are not academics. Her rendition of the anthem was as adequate as the rest of her music, not noteworthy but by no means disrespectful. Anyone offended by it is a typical snowflake right wing nutter not worthy to breath the air in our great nation.
