Just curious, because I do, and see folks posting at all times during the day after I'm done serving the semi-American public.

I work for my wife and home school our granddaughter. Does that count, Arch?
I really do put in a full days work, between family and church and ministry, but it DOES make a huge difference that there is very little of a set schedule, and I can shift stuff around as it suits me.

Vacuum the carpet and empty the dish washer. Oh, also get the mail out of the mailbox.
When you get over 80 you get some breaks. Lol

I have a job. I do all sorts of things. Last week I drilled a well 210 feet deep. And installed a pump. Got a good amount of water. This week I built and installed a 32 panel solar array and cleared off a property that used to be a marijuana grow with about 100 greenhouses 30 by 80. The frames had already been removed but the plastic and root buckets were still there. Plus all the trash from 8 people living on it for a year. A motorhome and fifth wheel trailer are still there but I did drive off an old firetruck. A Mac pumper. Runs great . This week I also poured a concrete slab for an air compressor at a local dairy and added 15 feet of pipe to an older well. It works great now. Who knows what I'll be doing next week but after work I have to clean my own yard because CODE ENFORCEMENT is on my ass again.

Yeah I’ve got a job. At age 65 I still get up and kick ass driving around Long Island, NY. And I hope you can imagine what driving around here is like. If it’s not heavy traffic it’s a NASCAR raceway. Gets a little scary out there, but it can be exciting!

Retired after owning/operating business for 38 years.
Live on 11 rural acres of trees. Garden, cut wood for supplemental heat, play with motorcycles, tent camp, Nordic ski, snowshoe, minimize human contact, wife still working; eliminating business commitments allows time for living.

Yes, I have a job. I teach at the university when I'm needed. Classes are out for the summer. I'm an ad hoc Prof. If courses fill to maximum, so much the better. However, if there aren't enough students in a section, administration closes it. Students must pick another section to see if they can fit it in their schedule. So I'll usually get called in when other staff won't work a section at a particular time. 7:00am or 6:00pm are the usual times I'll teach. Teaching summer sections pays the best because staff won't work in the summer if they have plans.

I'm almost 68, and I have been a "house husband" for 4 years while my wife continues to work. My hearing got too bad for me to efficiently function with other people on a regular basis, so I retired earlier than I would have preferred.
But God has blessed us, and it is working out fine. Turns out I have a knack for domestic engineering. Something my Mom made SURE I was proficient at during my childhood.

I'm supposed to say retired for SSA. I work a few places Military Intelligence (no it's not a joke, well Brandon's is, I'm not in that one). My aunt's farm on off hours. Still keeping my house together now that I'm the only one. And working a substack. That kind of thing.

This is America , nobody works here .
Since the republicans paid with taxpayer money to ship out all the jobs.
Biden is trying to get jobs moving but the right fights him every step of the way .
