Donald Trump raised our national debt by over $7 trillion, and the GOP raised the debt ceiling without a peep every year for the first three years of his administration, and then suspended it altogether for 2020 (so, if Biden won, he’d have to justify raising the debt ceiling for 2 years’ worth of deficits, making it even more politically painful).

Debt is not a result of too little revenue. Debt is a result of too much spending. That's the t***h. D.C. doesn't care because they all believe that they'll be out of office when we which critical mass. They use the i***ts to blame the other side.

Then yes it is from too little revenue.
And spending is what the government does.
Unlike your checkbook at home , the government has a job to spend .
This why taxes are collected.
The government uses this money to create an environment whereby wealth and prosperity will flourish .

The government has no reason to save money ,
