For those who do not already know: My Family is agonizing through a tragedy to my oldest grandson, 26-yr old Christopher. He very recently suffered a massive brain hemorrhage and/or aneurysm. His situation has been and remains extremely critical.

As a result, I am taking an indeterminate leave of absence from the OPP forum. Neither my heavy heart nor psyche allows for my participation in any discussions until both are relieved and cleared of anguish to the degree I am able to do so.

O dear Lord, we thank for our being able to go out early this morning to watch the stars roll off to bed, and a parade of colors usher in the entrance of the sun. We praise You, we worship You, and thank You for Your generosity, Your mercy, above all Your love. Help us to develop a deeper knowledge of You, a deeper faith. Faith can and does move mountains.

You know everyone's needs, and we thank You for caring for them. We ask You, always keep our troops in Your protective care, all who are in frontline danger, and all who will be serving. We pray for those who may have health problems; in particular we ask that You come upon Christopher to awaken him, and comfort his family.

Bless Israel, Lord, keep Your beloved strong and fortified with Your love. Forgive America, and renew our commitment to Your command. Save Christians who

Yes, I know. I have already completed my Sunday Devotional; however, the following came as an afternoon devotional. I am compelled to post it this evening.

So it comes down to perception, again. If we perceive a person to be " in the right", they can do no wrong. If we perceive them to be " in the wrong", they can do no right. I thought that was what laws were supposed to avoid, by making everyone responsible for the same thing.

Now days, we don't even care about the law, or justice. It's all about what WE feel is right and just. If a law differs from what we feel is right, then the law is wrong. If I see a thing as being right and you disagree, something is wrong with you, so, you're an enemy, a criminal, wh**ever.

We are a hop skip and jump away from anarchy and I wouldn't be surprised at the numbers of people who would welcome that. Few people respect anything that is not the same as they are, no matter what it is, as anything different is a danger. We equate ALL things not the "same as us" as being equal, ,meaning, that there is no difference between being Catholic and being a serial k**ler, or between being a liberal and a p*******e, or between being a republican and a thief, etc., etc.

We h**e what we don't understand, we h**e wh**ever is different, we h**e being wrong and we damn sure h**e to lose. Instead of looking for things that are the same between us, we are obsessed with what is different. Even the democrats and the republicans have succumbed to this malady, as they have gone out of their way to be as different as possible, making compromise another dirty word. Unity, compromise, murder, rape, community, liberal, conservative, robbery - all these are words we keep in our personal h**e files. If you subscribe to any of these, I h**e you, because you've all taught me - that's what I'm supposed to do.
