LOL, I had forgotten that song... such a good one to needle anyone else..

I have to declare that I much agree with Airforce, but still you got a very good song choice..

There is no reason why you should not agree with anyone you choose, and, on two occasions I actually agreed with him myself. What is important is that you, even when you disagree, are always polite about it. Thats allI ask of any other poster on OPP.

as far as the song, I like much of his music, it is warped enough to suit my tastes.

My condolences to both of you over the loss of your friend. I know what losses are so hang tough and it will improve. Love you guys. Bruce

Thanks. Since we are getting on in years our time is coming. Hopefully we will have left the world a little better than we found it. I truly believe that many of our friends will be with God already but if God welcomes us, there will be room for our souls there too. In the mean time, there is much to do here,

I completely understand what you’re saying here. When I first started caring for my mother all I could think of was God please don’t take her, as her life basically slipped away with no quality to anything other than just lying in bed I found myself asking if it is your will to take her please do so now..

When called, although expected, it still hurt or should I say my selfishness in wanting her to still be with me seemed insurmountable at the time. Likewise I gave thanks for she was then set free...
Talk about a conflict of emotions!

So yes, I do understand!!🙏✨✨

For him it was not the end, but the beginning of a new and better one. We do have along with our memories, a small carving of a Cane corso that he made. We will always remember the love he put into it.

This week I lost a friend to the p******c. Mark Steiner was a real prodigy. He graduated college by age sixteen even though his parents did their best to hold him back. He was the captain of the chess team at CCNY. He taught philosophy and math at the Hebrew University in Israel. Farewell old friend, you will be missed.

What a terrible loss of a good and valuable person as well as a good friend. See my post entitled "I'm glad he's dead" for another person who will be missed by his friends.

A long time friend of ours died of the C****a v***s yesterday and I am glad he is dead. six months ago he was diagnosed with end stage bladder and intestinal cancer and for the last few months he has been in horrible and unending pain. For him, the v***s was a godsend, dying in the hospital drugged to the point of semiconsciousness was worse than the ultimate death. Yes, he will be missed by lots of us who miss his wonderful sense of humor, as well as his great woodworking sk**ls. Most of all, we will miss him as a source of strength during our hard times. GOODBY FRANK, we know you are in a better place.

Sometime this year, we taxpayers will receive an economic stimulus payment; here are some facts to ponder:

Q: What is an Economic Stimulus?
A: It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q: Where will the government get this money?
A: From taxpayers.
Q: Is the government simply giving me back my own money, then?
A: No, only a smidgen of it.
Q: What is the purpose of this payment?
A: The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high definition television set, a new iPad, or a new SUV, thus stimulating the economy.
Q: Isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
A: Shut up.

How to help the U. S. Economy with your stimulus check:
* If you spend the stimulus money at Walmart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka.
* if you spend it on gasoline, it will go to the Arabs.
* if you purchase a computer, it goes to India, Taiwan or China.
* if you purchase fruits and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
* if you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea.
* if you purchase useless stuff, it goes to Taiwan.
* if you pay your credit card off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in the USA by:
(1) Spending it at a yard sale, thrift shop, or
(2) Going to a ballgame, local theater, or
(3) Going out to a Restaurant, or
(4) Spending it on prostitutes, or
(5) Beer, or
(6) Tattoos
(These are the only American businesses still operating here!)

Cribbed this from another forum but made me chuckle!

I would go to a yard sale or two to spend my money then give the things I purchases to the Salvation Army. Personally, I have way too many clothes I haven't worn, and a lot of books I have not yet read, don't need
anything more that I have to dust, wash or put away.

Media Figure Tastelessly Mocks Trump Over Mounting Deaths, Celebrated When Americans Died in Iraq

Markos Moulitsas, the liberal activist founder of “Daily Kos” and co-founder of Vox Media, took to Twitter to tastelessly mock President Donald Trump over the rising U.S. death toll from C****-**.

“Trump loves to be number one! Even if it’s mass death. It’s great for ratings! U-S-A! U-S-A!,” Moulitsas tweeted when the United States reported more C****-** cases than Italy.

— Markos Moulitsas (@markos) April 3, 2020

Eager to attack the United States and Trump, Moulitsas did not address the fact C*******t China has been falsifying its reports, which supposedly showed only 81,620 cases, despite the fact so many have died Chinese crematories have been running non-stop for weeks.

But while Moulitsas is mocking Trump for supposedly celebrating the deaths of Americans, Moulitsas rose to infamy in 2004 when he publicly cheered the deaths of Americans in Iraq.

In April of 2004 four American civilian contractors escorting a food delivery truck in Fallujah, Iraq were ambushed by terrorists.

The mob pulled the Americans out of the convoy and brutally tortured them before burning them alive and displaying the bodies from a bridge.

While the world was horrified by the brutality, Moulitsas could barely hide his bloodlust and glee.

Posting on his “Daily Kos” website, Moulitsas openly cheered the deaths and the terrorists’ decision to hang Americans’ bodies from the bridge as terrorist propaganda.

“Every death should be on the front page,” Moulitsas sneered. “Let the people see what war is like. This isn’t an Xbox game. There are real repercussions to Bush’s folly.

“That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries [sic]. They aren’t in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them,” Moulitsas growled.

Daily Kos has since deleted the post and erased it from both Google’s cache and the Internet Archive, but Moulitsas’ terrorist cheerleading was widely condemned at the time.

Moulitsas attempted to walk back his assault the next day, but even his “apology” attacked dead Americans. “I was angry that these mercenaries would leave their wives and children behind to enter a war zone on their own volition. So I struck back,” Moulitsas claimed.

He is now a major liberal media figure, serving as a co-founder of Vox Media and SB Nation.

You could do what several of our friends have done over the years. Get yourself an African GreyParrot. They can carry on a conversation on a level with a 5 year old child, can learn a few commands and you can always put the bird back in his cage if you want peace and quiet or the bird starts talking over your head.
