Goof enough to put the country in a booming economy. Good enough to put unemployment at a 50 year low. Good enough to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US, something Obama said couldn't be done. Good enough to broker better and more fair trade deals. Good enough to stay out of any collusion scheme. Good enough. You have no right to see any of Trump's grades or taxes.

What the F’ you talking bout Willis? “red and blue” states is why we have a problem communicating today. V

Let me rephrase that...The real question is NOT why should small states be more important than big states, because we never heard about any of this about doing away with the e*******l collage until Hillary lost. The REAL question is...how can liberals be assured to have a democrat in the White House? For two hundred thirty years, the e*******l collage has elected the president.
This explains it best;(not sure who wrote this)
If you look at article 2 of the U S Constitution you can see that the states are supposed to choose e*****rs to represent their state at the e*******l college for the purpose of choosing (electing) a president for the union. This means that the states elect the president not the people. It also says in article 2 that the method for selecting e*****rs is left to each individual state. This means that it isn't necessary for the states or for the union to hold a p**********l e******n where people v**e. The president represents the union and is elected by the states, People are represented in the legislative branch of government. The president is not supposed to represent the people. In fact if there were to be a conflict of interest between the union and the people it is the presidents job to represent the union, the welfare of the union, the defense of the nation and the fiscal health of the nation. The state governments are democracies. The federal government is a republic. A republic doesn't require one man one v**e but can elect the chief of state by other than a popular v**e. The e*****rs meet at their respective state capitols and the majority rules. Who ever wins the v**e is how the state v**es for the president. That is winner takes all. The president and vice president are our only offices filled by this method. Everyone who represents people is elected by a direct v**e of those people. That is why we have a type of republic for the federal government. If you dispute that we are a republic repeat the pledge of allegiance.
Myself, I always wondered how we can be a democracy AND a republic....well this is how that is so.

As far as I know, all cockroaches fly.

Interesting note on roaches. Several years ago, I saw an experiment on cockroaches. They put them in a sealed container with a tread mill running through it. At slow sped, the roaches walked on all 6 of their legs. As the treadmill sped up they left off their front legs and run on 4. But at the fastest speed, the roach would rise up and run like a man, on it's 2 back legs! In slow motion, it looked pretty much like a man running. That was probably 25 years ago, but I remember it.

Thanks, JoyV...I was never sure what the pill did, just that it was supposed to be soon after pregnancy (or so I thought), and that it was humane. There are ways to prevent getting pregnant and a******n should not be used as birth control.

“Abuse of power”?!! A trumpkin complains of abuse of power?!

Yep! Abuse of power. Where will the democrats stop their blood trail hunt? Will they subpoena Trump's grade school grades? Will they subpoena his Babysitter?
Did you know that if you are a licensed driver driving in a licensed car, on a public road, and minding the speed limit, that NO cop anywhere in the country can pull you over to start searching for anything to "get" you on. It's illegal. There MUST be probable cause, or evidence of a crime. Trump has been PROVEN to be innocent of the investigation into his campaign based on a false dossier. If you have evidence of a crime, present it so he can be charged. But you don't get to go looking through Trump's affairs as a private citizen...BEFORE he was elected...trying to find something amiss.
What if we did YOU that way?
Did you ever do anything wrong? Did you steal that money from you gran gran? Was it you that masturbated in you mothers underwear or that let your older cousin have his way with you? Did you ever buy sex? Did you ever c***t in school, church, or at a store? Did you ever shoplift at any store. Did you ever lie to a cop to get out of a ticket? Was it you who dented your dad's car and then lied and told him it was that way when you came out of the store. Have you ever c***ted on your wife. What was the woman's name? How many times have you c***ted on your wife. We will subpoena everybody in your family, everybody you know, and anybody who has worked for you. Did you ever change your mind on anything? Things we could dream up goes on and on. Would that be fair to you?
Well, it ain't to Trump either.

And all shades in between, with many gradations and combinations!

It is little wonder that we continuously have serious conflicts, clashes in beliefs, and ultimately nasty invective between opposing views, particularly when beliefs run so strongly, often challenging deeply held religious, emotional, inherited or reasoned beliefs! Many times the opposition uses unfair tactics to shut the citizen up and denigrate him, hoping to send him away.

We are a multicultural hodge-podge living our separate very uniquely human lives, and many, many different lifestyles, but held together socially by at least eight or so very strong beliefs and common goals:
The value of strength in numbers;
the rule of law;
the joys of our freedoms;
The economic system;
the best place to raise our children;
the opportunities for betterment,
a compelling work ethic, and in,
the love of this country. (There are more reasons, of course…)

All of our diverse cultural components contribute to a peculiar synthesis one might call an “American Culture,” but if examined closely, it quickly dissolves into some or even all of its constituent or factional parts, and even harkens back to quite different historical origins and allegiances. I suppose that if there must be such factions, it is a real blessing to have so many factions that their opinions and strengths tend to cancel each other out!

How many discussions or arguments between two people have been completely biased by their opposing factional belief systems, preventing any mutual understandings? For that matter, do we know all of the factions and ideologies our adversaries hold close? Most likely not!

The remarkable thing is that this federated, democratic, republican form of national government, with its written Constitution as the Law of the Land, has successfully held together for nearly 240 years, despite many sweeping ideological differences along the way. The differences have persisted to this day and have again become a serious d******e force in the nation.

It is time for those who believe in America, its Constitution, its common laws and its founding principles to stand up and fight for them!

You know, you can boil most of those opposites down to the basics, good and evil. I'm not saying that liberals are evil, but some of their ideology IS. When a baby has a heart beat and jumps back from pain, it's evil to tear it apart to get 'rid" of it like a wart or a cancer. Why on earth raise cane about children of illegal border crossers being separated from their parents while they are in jail for BREAKING OUR LAWS1 while they K**L their own babies in a horrible and painful way. That ideology is evil.

This was brought to my attention this AM by a video blogger I follow. I don't know how most of you feel about Prince. There's no question he has some songs that I'm a fan of, and I've seen him play guitar solos with a lot of flair so I watched it...(didn't see it originally in 2004 because I don't do awards shows)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SFNW5F8K9Y
Now here's the thing. I certainly wouldn't rank it in the top 10 or maybe even 20 guitar solos - BUT it does seem to make it clear that he was pretty damn good. I actually found him rated #33 on a list of top 100 guitarists (https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/100-greatest-guitarists-153675/curtis-mayfield-2-152544/). I know this is a little redundant, since many of you have posted links to great guitarists before, but hit me with your best shot(s) while I think of some of my favorites, like Frank Zappa, Brian May, Angus Young, Carlos Santana, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Jimmie Page, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Jimi Hendrix, and of course Stevie Ray Vaughan (God there are so many greats!). I don't play...well, maybe air guitar...but I really enjoy listening to talented musicians.

Prince was definitely a good guitarist, but to put him up there with some of the names you mentioned...I dunno. Certainly not Hendrix. I have a soft spot for Jimi cause the things he did, he did first. There are 2 types of guitar players; those that admit that Hendrix influenced them heavily, and those that lie about it.
Chet Atkins is another great innovator in his style of music. His picking sound was so clean there was no room for mistakes...a mistake could easily be heard.
Carlos Santana...Carlos brought a new sound to rock and his running from minors to majors was brilliant, it gave emotion to the music. His Conga section ( I guess that's correct) didn't hurt a thing either.
I think you could call David Gilmore's guitar style mental rock. Even if you weren't stoned, you just wanted to sit back and relax and just...listen.
And let's not leave out Eddie Van Halen. A lot of guitar players I knew said that he just played a bunch of junk, but I noticed that they never did any of it...cause they couldn't
These are about the top five in my book, cause they were first at what they brought to the music scene. Does Prince rank with any of them? Nope. But he WAS a good guitar player. And I suppose you know that he wrote Manic Monday for the Bangles?
His music was better than his lyrics. Him and the vocalist for the Bangles met each other and spent the day looking at each other out of the corner of their eyes. She was and is a beauty though.

We were having a lesson and she mentioned that cockroaches are considered lucky in America..

I found this bizarre... Thought maybe she meant ladybugs or scarabs or something...

But nope.. She definately meant cockroaches.. Found me a picture of the suckers and all...

She stayed with a host family and found cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom... She says that they told her they consider them lucky and welcome them into their house...

Before I condemn them as filthy liars I thought maybe I ought to ask some Californians...

When I went down to Mexico there were geckos in the apartments I stayed in and people let them be... Didn't say they were lucky... Just that they ate the pests.... I am the same way with spiders (much to my wife's displeasure...)...

So...
Are cockroaches lucky?
Or beneficial in any way?

I appreciate any input... Thanks

I can't think of ANY reason one would consider a cockroach lucky. They carry about 35 diseases and are generally repugnant. Could it be a possibility that the host family was joking and the guest didn't "get" the American humor?

https://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/fetal-development/fetal-touch/

On early fetal response to painful stimuli: “The earliest reactions to painful stimuli motor reflexes can be detected at 7.5 weeks of gestations [5.5 weeks post-fertilization].” (2012 medical article)
https://www.lifenews.com/2015/02/04/scientific-studies-show-unborn-babies-can-feel-pain-as-early-as-8-weeks/

The movies shows a 13 week post fertilization unborn baby reacting to pain. There is 3 weeks between the time the sperm enters the woman's reproductive track and the time fertilization takes place. So the movie unborn baby would actually be at 16 week gestation.

The Greek T***slation of the first five books of Moses ordered by Ptolomey Philadelphia, one of the four generals of Alexander the Great and ruler of his conquered Egyptian territory, in circa 280 B.C. stood as the accurate read of the old version of the Hebrew Bible. The later Aramaic version was not t***slated by Masoretic t***slators who added vowel points to what they thought was the correct pronouncement of a word (the old language was all consonants), approximately 1000 years later. This makes it a t***slation of the Septuagint Jesus and Paul read about 750 before these guys were alive. What do I mean to say by giving you this info? According to the more accurate t***slation of the original "Hebrew," you are going to need to add 650 years to the chronology of the lives of the patriarchs listed from the time of Noah to Abraham making the fact of mankind's existence 5520 years and not the accepted King Jame's "Ussher Chronology" date.

The Jewish Rabbis today do not accept the Greek T***slation because it does not include any passage of Scripture stating that the seventy elders who went with Moses to the foot of Mt. The Septuagint and all of the copies of it that followed throughout the centuries show in these passages that Moses alone received the Law directly from "Ha Shem" (the Name of God). These seventy elders received only what Moses gave them. The Rabbis have no Biblically legal right to put themselves in "the seat of Moses"(Matthew 23).

Obama did the same thing for Eric Holder, first AG in history held in contempt by congress, guilty of forcing gun dealers to sell guns to cartel members resulting in the death of a US Border agent, and an American couple, AND hundreds of deaths in Mexico from these guns. When all is said and done, the subpoenas you mentioned will be classified as abuse of power. Trump can pardon them just as Obama did his boy. What the liberals do, the conservatives can also do. So says the American public.
