[quote=rastybob]The GOP has a dark skin thing don't they? Here in Arizona we tried to not let brown people vote. But them liberals made us do it,something about, some of them had land here, under Spanish land grants,150 years before there was a USA.So we let them Vote. We just don't count their votes. Well I hear they count their votes down in Tucson. But up here in Phoenix we only count them if they vote right. Its a short fix, they bread like cats you know. We can only hope they learn to vote right before they over run us.[/qu

As far as I know illegals have never been able to vote and can't now.If you know some that did. Please call the DA. And we will put an end to it.

I disagree totally because I feel compromise is how we have reached this point of no return. We " COMPROMISED" our way to 17 Trillion in debt with no end in sight. Someone needs to STOP Compromising and finally draw a Line in the sand. The Tea Party so far are the only ones with the courage to do so. So remain a so called moderate and take no hard stand. And we will be at 35 Trillion in debt before you know it and borrowing every cent we spend.

If I remember correctly we are still waiting for the spending cuts promised to Reagan by the democrats. We are also waiting for spending cuts that the democrats promised us under G.W. Bush and G.H.W. Bush and they have never manifested themselves. With the democrats its always manana.

I generally agree with you , although I would like to add that a lot of right wing angst is , because of the name and racial makeup of the president and the realization that there is a serious demographic shift taking place in this country (the various machinations of red state policies seem to try to repress minority voting) this plus the idea of a health care law that is headed to the single payer system(ten to twenty years) has the right fighting against all of these highly obvious changes and it is to be expected as the conservative element wants to maintain the status quo to a larger degree than liberals . One only has to study the origin of the word sabotage.

GOP has no dark skin issue. However we do not have a 2000 mile border with Sweden. If we had 11 Million illegal Swedes invading America I would be just as concerned.

So, because he warned the Repubs that means when he vetoes the bill, thereby shutting down govt, it's not him doing it?

Using the same logic, if a mugger tells you to give him your wallet or he'll shoot you, and you refuse, then when you get shot you did it to yourself?

VOR I have just started reading for the day but I will be very interested to see how THEY answer that scenario.

Yea , you're also a " get-it-backwards-ian ". The Republicans are the ones who want to attach DEFUNDING of ACA , threatening to shut down government .
ACA is already law . And any funding is found in the budget .

Found in the budget? Lou what is a budget and where is the one for 2013 or 2014? Dirty Harry thinks that the present CR program works so well that we don't need a budget. Again, he says this because he either has never read the part of the Constitution, Article I, that pertains to Congress or he just wants to continue not having a budget as another part of his desire to live outside the Constitution.

Can you point me at the present budget you mentioned? :P

LOLOL>....yea , because it has been legislated into LAW .

Get 75% of the 50 STATE LEGISLATURES to REPEAL IT , and it goes away .

Which btw they will most certainly DO , if the ACA is the DESTRUCTIVE MONSTER all the naysayers claim it to be .
The WHOLE IDEA OF IDIOTS LIKE CRUZ AND HIS LOT IS , KILL IT BEFORE THAT CLAIM IS PROVED WRONG .
And the ONLY way to do that is to threaten a shutdown if it is DEFUNDED .
And THAT is NOT what the MAJORITY of the electorate voted for . And recent polls prove that by showing that though a greater MINORITY are wary ,than those who are not or undecided--- **62% ** of Americans --- FAVOR ACA and are willing to give it a chance .
And this country IS NOT RULED BY MINORITIES .

Whose polls have you been reading? 62% of Americans are willing to give that abortion a chance? I guess I just don't hear or read the right polls. I think that if you look, your polls were worded in ways that forced people to vote for them. People don't want the whole bill since it was passed and we started seeing what was in it, but most would accept parts of it as very good.

I wonder what a poll would show if it just asked if the IRS should enforce the abortion you proudly call ACA. I am pretty sure that when you see that one answered you will find a large majority saying NO but then . . . . . . .

I must also ask you to list any laws like this one that created those entitlements that have ever been dropped after they got in effect. I don't know of any at all because entitlements cause the entitled to vote for those who support them. Once this socialized medicine law goes into effect we will be a short time from just that, socialized medicine.

Alabama tried that and shot itself in the foot , because when the crops ripened they had no one to pick them .

And I'm not picking on or blaming it on GW , but he took THE EXACT SAME POSITION as OBAMA , but without pushing for a solution .

So you don't know about Bush backing the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill. Yep, all those three proved to be establishment pols of both parties.
