Floyd Brown-you,sir, are exactly right. We need to hear all views . Nobody has all the answers and neither democrats nor republicans can claim that the opposing party needs to be ignored. There are good people on both sides of the aisle and a few ding bats on the fringes. We all want America to continue to be the best country in which to live but we have differing views on how to keep the country solvent , credible, and in a position to compete on the world stage. Some believe in taxing and spending while others prefer to tighten the belt and get to a balanced budget. Since achieving balance, if we were to start immediately, will take 10 years or more we may have to spend on infrastructure before it deteriorates to the point that our lenders no longer trust that this is a safe country in which to invest. I believe the president is making a mistake by threatening congress with his Pen and Phone quip. Those kinds of statements by a leader causes division rather than unity and it is difficult to negotiate when the leader says ,"we will do it my way" or I will go it alone. So we all need to step back and look at the big picture rather than our own narrow view. I have been enlightened by some of the articles written by Mr. Brown and I appreciate him contributing to this forum. Good Luck America !!!

I do get perhaps a little over disgusted about the pretense of OPP posters who use bible verses and founder quotes under their posts or religious reference monikers.
