Carter was probably the most decent president we ever had and one of the worse. And one of the worse because he was a truly decent man.

Right on!

Wow. You're old, lol. Met Truman. It is hard to tell today what happened in those very complicated times. A World War to win--and a Communist threat! I don't know enough about his possible part in Vietnam.

Some day when I have time I will give you my take on why I blame Truman for Vietnam.

Carter was our most decent and Godly president, Kennedy our most inspirational, but hands down FDR was our best; he did more than any man in history to protect the world from the evils of communism, the excess brutality of unbridled capitalism and the tyranny of fascism.
I'm thinking lib progs who believe FDR was our best president and who "did more than any man in history to protect the world from the evils of communism", would be overjoyed with Vladimir Putin in the WH. Y'all seem thoroughly enchanted by the power of the man.

Reagan was quoting Puritan John Winthrop's lecture "A Model of Christian Charity" delivered on March 21, 1630 when he spoke of America "as a city upon a hill, the eyes of all people are upon us." President Kennedy also spoke of our native exceptionalism in this way in a speech in 1961 and the phrase has been used repeatedly over the decades by many to declare our Constitutional existence as that endowed and blessed by the Creator.

Our representative needs to be the living personification of that vision, of our ideals, principles, values, and laws about liberty and a government by we the people as God granted to all. Not a perfect person, of course, yet one that consistently strives to personally incorporate those things in him- or herself and his or her actions in office. The matters of state may make this pedestal a difficult seat to hold. Yet always he or she will act for what best serves liberty and justice for ALL.

Remember, the eyes of ALL people will be upon him or her. So, name a candidate. Please give the reasons for your choice.

Well stated, but I believe FDR trusted Stalin too much. FDR had already agreed to let Stalin have the "shatter belt" countries before FDR died. Truman felt like he had to honor FDR's agreement. Stalin "outfoxed" Truman and Churchill. Hence the Cold War. I will stay with TRUMP. He has accomplished a lot against very strong opposition. The economy is the telling issue.

Truman walked out in disgust at Yalta and Roosevelt because he was had .When he started getting heat
his excuse was he was tired.

Thomas Jefferson for his strong, very strong Constitutional development..

We need a strong defender of our Constitution, Bill of Right, Declaration of Independence etc..

Of course, DONALD TRUMP!!!
He's not a pastor, a spiritual advisor, nor does he profess to be decent God, fearing man. Like Jimmy Carter. Who presided over the worst administration. Beaten only by Barrack Obama who was openly anti American and pro Muslim.
Trump is a fighter! He fights for all America stands for. He's the only person who could have withstood the absolute firestorm of opposition he's endured. And much to the chagrin of the hate-America-first crowd, Trump's come out on top.

===============
1. President Lincoln , the Emancipation Act.
2. President Ronald Reagan-ended the cold war, restored US as the City on the Hill
3. President Donald Trump-MAGA, restored Obamas' devastations to its greatest economic revival, lowest unemployment in US history including Blacks and Hispanics. Will provide second chance to the low criminals, by giving them training, treatment, and provide jobs to have a second chance to better-off their lives. The most innocent president relentlessly assaulted and attacked by the DEMS, but stands firm on his commitment to improve the lives of all Americans. May God bless him!
4. President George Washington. Lead the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary 1775 to 1783, and led the colonial forces to victory over the British. He was a national hero.
5. Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, that made America independent from Britain.

Don't give him that much credit. Dogs are good, and worthwhile. People love dogs, not Kevyn.
