It is absolutely appalling that you would believe such a thing. Since

prophecy does not say Christians would do any such thing, they would

not be fulfilling Scripture.

Where is this large segment of Christians? What are their

denominations? Where are their headquarters?

They're splinter groups, at best, and are not following God.

Here are two sites that should interest you:
http://whatsaiththescripture.com/Timeline/Hastening.Lords.Return.html

http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/love-worth-finding/read/articles/can-we-hasten-the-second-coming-of-christ-15204.html

Do you watch the news at all, such as seeing the big flap over W attending a Christian assembly that was looking to bring about end time prophecy?

That you are unaware of something does not mean it does not exist or that the person bearing the information is gullible or whatever. Do a little research yourself occasionally. That you refuse to believe what that article said about Hagee, despite quotes from his own lips, does not change his beliefs as professed from pulpit and in books. I think the problem you are have accepting these facts is the fact I am presenting them.

Christians and Jews are being hunted down and exterminated in all of the territories that the Islamists have gotten control of. And FYI, they hate atheists more than Jews or Christians.

Just how many years does it take to make a nuclear bomb? America made hers fairly quick to end WWII. Many countries have nuclear arsenal. This thing with Iran 'wanting, trying, attempting' to build a nuclear bomb has gone on for a very many years. How could they not have one by now?? I believe they do. but, sneaky and crawly like a lizard or snake as they are, the many are not aware.

Fact Tank - Our Lives in Numbers

More white evangelicals than American Jews say God gave Israel to the Jewish people

By Michael Lipka

82%, A majority of white evangelicals believe God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people, compared with 40% of American Jews who believe the same.

Israel defines itself as a Jewish state, and most Jews in the United States say that emotionally they are either very attached (30%) or somewhat attached (39%) to Israel. But on some measures, Jews’ feelings for Israel are equaled or even exceeded by those of white evangelical Protestants.

For example, twice as many white evangelical Protestants as Jews say that Israel was given to the Jewish people by God (82% vs. 40%).

Some of the discrepancy is attributable to Jews’ lower levels of belief in God overall; virtually all evangelicals say they believe in God, compared with 72% of Jews (23% say they do not believe in God and 5% say they don’t know or decline to answer the question).

But even Jews who do believe in God are less likely than evangelicals to believe that God gave the land that is now Israel to the Jewish people (55% vs. 82%).

White evangelical Protestants also are more likely than Jews to favor stronger U.S. support of Israel. Among Jews, 54% say American support of the Jewish state is “about right,” while 31% say the U.S. is not supportive enough.

By contrast, more white evangelical Protestants say the U.S. is not supportive enough of Israel (46%) than say support is about right (31%).

White evangelical Protestants are less optimistic than Jews about the prospects for a peaceful two-state solution to conflict in the region.

When asked if there is a way for Israel and an independent Palestinian state to coexist peacefully, six-in-ten American Jews (61%) say yes, while one-third say no.

Among white evangelical Protestants, 42% say Israel and an independent Palestinian state can coexist peacefully, while 50% say this is not possible.

I am Jewish. My wife is not. She is from a secular Christian background. I don't view Muslims as akin to Nazis. I think the west should be alert but not rush to any kind of further military involvements in the middle east. I don't need to organize my life in opposition to some boogy-man, be it satan, commies, or Arabs. Liberals are able to comprehend subtlety and nuance. They understand concepts such as ambiguity and ambivalence. They understand that the real world is not a simplistic contrast between black and white, good and evil. I am very aware of the conflicts between Israel and the Arab world. I am also aware that great men pursue peace more strongly than they pursue war. President Sadat of Egypt and Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin of Israel, both paid with their lives, to end Arab-Israeli hostilities. They both were assassinated by religious crazies who thought they had a private pipeline to God.

Every day, I see Arabs in our neighborhood park, along with Whites, Blacks, Hispanics and Asians. People nod hello. No one gives anyone the "stink-eye". I have yet to see anyone threaten violence. Its how it should be. I would not trade it for a Disneyfied Dick and Jane world that never was.

In the diversified hinterlands of both cities and countryside, there seems to be the quiet understanding that "I could be next." For what? Oppression and shunning. When I lived in the South Bronx for a few years, even with the high crime rate, people of all races seemed closer, bonded somehow. I wondered about that for decades. I was not questioning it or doubting my experience: I was trying to uncover its reality and message. I had VW bug at th time and happened to look out my sixth floor window to see some teens of mixed race seating on the hood. An elderly Black women and middle-aged Hispanic man were rather vociferous in telling them to get off, which they did. It blew me away. Actually, there was a tear (maybe more). That was the community, I suddenly realized, by soul hungered for.

As Obama's statement going to both the greatness and absolute need of community in all that we do, "You did not build it" got bastardized, so did Ms. Perry's statement about it taking a community to raise our children. This ugly and destructive double-speak by the Right had me upset for weeks afterwards. How could they? I kept thinking over and over. Their take was so cheap, patently false, and mean-spirited I could not quite wrap my mind around it. And that so many gleefully repeated and reveled in this blatant lie seriously eroded my hope for humanity. But I did become a stronger believer in the power of Satan to deceive. The Father of Lies had the main banner at the Republican Convention.

I really enjoyed your post. Our country has indeed reversed course. It was originally organized upon principles of exclusion. Political control was not meant to be shared with Native-Americans, African-Americans, Hispanics, nor the poor (non-property owners). Now all these groups are included. A lot of people on the far-right are none too happy about this. Hence their fantasies of civil war 2.0 or a coup d'etat. Eventually they will have to accept the fact that they will have to share the country with people that don't look like them. Their other choice is to leave or go to jail.

Well, welcome to 2014. Today, in many cities, those kids sitting on the hood of a car would spit obscenities, kick the car, and quite possible hurt the couple.
This country has changed fast, and not for the better. When young I played dolls with my little girlfriends, paper dolls even. Skated on metal skates that took a key to put on. Played with batons, hoolahoops. Climb trees, build forts, ride stick ponies. At 10 and 11, I was still making my own paper dolls and playing with them. We walked to and from school with little to no reason to have fear. Our country was child friendly in those times. What do young kids do now?? The majority anyway? How do they entertain themselves?
Unfortunately, it's mainly below the belt that kids focus on these days.
You have to be a child, kid, and teen before you can get to the age your reminissing in. Today it is extremely hard to grow up, and with Government being part of a kids hardship now, the furture looks bleak.

Sadly, you may be right, rhomin. A friend recently sent me pictures of the old neighborhood we grew up in. This is in the early 50s. People all seemed to be well-dressed: men in suits and fedoras, women in dresses and smiles. There was a shot of the Local Macy's showing about ten carriages parked by the door and a comment that it was common practice for young teenage girls from local churches to volunteer babysitting while the mothers were free to shop. After an eight hour stint of this, they got treated to an ice cream cone from Carvel. Total degenerate oppression or brain-washing today.

I think many are aware, they just don't want to face up to it.
Hitler was allowed to keep the army he was forbidden to build, because, you would have had to start a war to take it. So the world waited until he had a bigger army and then he gave it to then, in the form of invasions.

Iran is basically the same set-up. He wants the nuclear weapons so that he can declare war on his enemies, first Israel (the little satin) then the United States (the big satin). He won't give them up without a war and if you wait, it will be a bigger war, you might not win.

I don't know how close they are to the actual weapon, but, they already have the missile bases, silos and rockets. They are improving the range and quality of the rockets and increasing their payloads.
Once they have the war head they will have everything else, except the launch and that will just take pushing the button.
