Only thing Rumitoid said was he is a hypocrite, believing as the Amish, Mennonites, and Anabaptists in general, but not willing to act like them and eschew politics. He talks the talk, but... Well you know.

You have said that religion is not a personal conviction, like government it can be divided from a person's character, that being the only method by which religion can "meddle in government," is personal convictions. This is equally true for dictators as parliamentarians and congressmen.

As usual in America the folks broadcasting their piety the loudest are among the most bigotted, greedy, selfish ,human beings on the face of the earth. I challenge anyone to list the names here claimimg to be Christian and go back and read some of their previous posts on this site. They reek of r****m,homophobia, and xenophobia. Especially check out ginnyt, and the newbie ,Rhonda. 1st degree hypocrits.

I have been reading here for months but just started posting today. I have to say that I have noticed that dang near everything you write includes the word 'r****t'. Not everything is about race. Some things just are what they are without having anything to do with race.

Not according to InYourFace. Everything is about white r****m. He is a pathetic, poorly educated, bigoted twerp because of white r****m. Everything in his miserable life that has eluded him is due to evil white r****m. Take that away and he has no one but himself to blame.

There is no way I could wade through the rantings of this forum. Suffice it to say that (and I h**e it when someone bungles & babbles on and on and on saying what they could have said in a few short words), Yes we who follow Christ are instructed to "not be conformed to this world" and even to "h**e" the world as it is rife with sin. I have found the closer I study Christ the more d********g the world becomes to me, however, in light of this I can not stand idly by and watch the world go to hell. Remember the Crusades ? Crusadeshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Yes it was a bloody and barbaric attempt to thwart Islam mostly in and around the Holy Land. We are confronted with a similar situation right now in history. Let the world be warned that being a follower of Christ Jesus in no way means we can not stand and fight against a vicious foe. Christ tells us that "those who live by the sword shall die by the sword". Those who love Christ Jesus "prefer" to live in peace with the world but are sanctioned by God to defend ourselves. Christian Religion and Politics are joined hand in hand and are supposed to guide and direct our American society to a more stable union. The Ten Commandments are the Laws of God which our society is founded upon. True said that the Freedom of Religion as laid down by the founders was to protect us from the government enforcing one brand of Christianity over another. And not allow Islam (which is against our way of life) or any other sect to rule over the government. Christ Jesus is the "Ultimate Politician" and His way is the Righteous Way~!

I really like your post~ But..... the Sword that Jesus Christ talks about in scripture is his finale judgment of our soul. If we run around judging people, especially in the ancient times of NT when religious people judged other religious people to death, the same Judgment will fall upon them through Jesus Christ. Remember all the religious inquisitions? Many innocent people were judged to death.

I totally disagree with you both. The strongest times America has had is when a Christian hearted President sat in Office.

Do you think Jesus the Christ would have clarified that when his disciples produced two swords? But all he says is, "It is enough."

When he talks about the leaven of the Pharisees, and his disciples say, "It's because we brought no bread;" Jesus clarifies.
