At one time the age of consent in TN was 14. In many states it is 16. Let's say you are a horny 19 or 20 year old and a 14 year old who looks like she's 20 is willing. Are you, as that hot-to-trot teenager going to ask for ID? Seriously? I can see your point, PR, but so many girls look much older than they actually are, and as I said, the age of consent in many states is 16 or 18.

The way the law is worded, the guy can only get into trouble if he's more than 10 years older than her.
Fourteen is too young as well as 15, 16,17, 18, and 19.
I think it's a sick ruling .

The 14 year old just needs to give consent. By nodding her/his head up and down this construes consent. Consent could also be non-verbal by the minor just pulling down their shorts or carrying around a cucumber or banana. Representative Weiner even said with a minor displaying an Oscay Meier Weiner, his favorite Weiner brand, that that shows consent.

While I agree with you in principle, have you seen today's 14 yr old girls? While to their parents they may be their 'little darling' but when they're out with their friends or around boys (or young men) it's a whole different story.
