So she would have been 13 when she finished... And Jews at the time often married in their early teens

So it's not unreasonable to estimate that she was between 13-15 when she gave birth....

Most women are virgins until they get pregnant

And I sincerely hope that she gave consent before she was impregated...

Drunk people can not give consent... No matter the age... Why is that difficult to understand???

There was NOWHERE in your scenario that said she gave consent. ONLY that he SCORED!! So now you are saying they were drinking and he "SCORED". I would imagine at 14, she was not used to drinking and would have been inebriated, so now she cannot give consent, but yet, being 14 she COULD give consent? CONFUSING!!
And what if she gets pregnant?? What happens to that baby? Do you force that "poor" guy to MARRY her? Do YOU raise the baby? FORCE an A******N?? FORCE her to put it up for ADOPTION?? After all she had the RIGHT to consent to have the sex but cannot decide to KEEP her baby?? I see MORE WELFARE coming!!

The entire scenario I posted relied upon the premise that consent was given... That is literally the topic of the original post... "Can a 14 year old give consent"...

I at no point said that a 14 year old would be drinking... That's illegal...

And providing a 14 year old with alcohol is illegal...

If the intent of providing a 14 year old with alcohol is to get them inebriated so as to take advantage of them then it is premeditated rape...

I never argued that she wasn't a virgin... I just stated that I hoped she gave consent before she was impregnated...

She could have been anywhere from 13-20 before she was married.... The point was that biblically teenagers could marry and give consent...

We were talking about CONSENT for SEX which Mary NEVER HAD before she had JESUS!! I don't even know at this point if she and Joseph EVER had Sex!! And back then, I don't think CONSENT was an ISSUE. It was normally just ASSUMED that if you married a guy, you would have sex with him.
But the other scenario I mentioned was a PRODUCT of sex, and I was CURIOUS as to your opinions on them since you think it is OK for your 14 yr. old to have sex!!

You think being married means consent isn't needed... You're wrong... A husband is perfectly capable of raping a wife... In legal terms it's known as spousal rape...

At no point have I stated it is ok for 14 year olds to have sex... Only that they can give consent... I believe people should refrain from premarital sex...

All of those issues you brought up affect women whether they are 14 or 40...
