That statement is about a news article on the Fox web site, not about Hannity's editorials. Why would they take the story down if it was true?

Because the family spokesman said if they didn't they would be sued. Nor could either its veracity or fallacy be proven as the investigation was never completed.

Did you read the article that headed this thread. The story in a nutshell was that when Seth Rich died, the Russians planted a conspiracy theory to get Trump elected. Without the Trump part, the left would have no reason to think the Russians used his death to start a death squad conspiracy (dating back to the 80s).
