Hey, when they were standing in line at Ellis Island, I don't think they were thinking about all the free s**t they were going to get. Some of them had as little as $10 in their pockets and they were doing something completely different than today...they were coming in LEGALLY. Get it? (not directed to you of course, Mr.. J Florio)

I've raised my own and several foster children to a semblance of competent adulthood before. I know what they are like when in their natural state. I have no difficulty keeping them busy repairing their own household damages.
My three year old, during the potty training year, returned from playing in the yard without his diaper. And told me, "Mommy if you go to the bathroom outside you don't need to use toilet paper, cuz the dog will lick your bottom clean for you!"
Bathtubs are very reassuring.

NO legal immigrant gets free stuff. They must be self supporting and law abiding. Ya know, a contributing member of society.

I have a well, so when I run water, it uses electricity. My electricity comes from a coal fired plant.
If I let the dogs lick the dishes clean instead of rinsing them before putting them in the dishwasher, it saves water, and energy. The dogs are happy, the dishwasher sanitizes the dishes, and it saves me labor.
Where is the downside to my plan?

Welcome to OPP. May I point out that the 99.9% of people you mentioned are mostly legal immigrants, and that American Indians came here from Central Asia? They are not "native" so much as "here first," and even that is untrue, since the first comers are extinct.
