Funny how the Dems forget that Obama did the same thing, except he didn't send them to Sanctuary cities. Our governor said "NO" and he did it anyway. Lewiston, Maine was their destination. The city or the state did not have the resources to take them. We got them anyway. Maine had a minimal problem with gangs at that time. Between Portland and Lewiston, we now have our share.
Oh yes, I can't forget the Catholic Charities of Maine got $$$$ to "help them." Taxpayers were again left holding the "Bag."

I have read and studied much about the Indian Nations, culture and the different tribes way of life. Books by Allen W. Eckert are both entertaining and accurate. The Indians were not (except a few tribes) builders. They didn't even have gun powder. Most were nomadic and very territorial. We have a tendency, especially liberals to romanticize the American Indian. There was much to admire about them but they weren't some non-violent group before Europeans got here. Read up on the Iroquois Nation. Perfect example. Tribes completely wiped out other tribes; to extinction. They kept s***es. They sold s***es to the Mexicans. They were by there very nature doomed to be conquered. I am in no way giving the way they were treated a pass. I think the treaties we signed and broke is a National disgrace. Most of the reservations are the poorest areas in America. Much should be done to make life on the reservation better because it would be the right thing to do.

Perhaps it is not always a matter of feeling a need to protect oneself from refugees. Perhaps some have walls or fences to protect the ones we already shelter from others who feel it has just become "too crowded, the area is full, the sector is full" whenever the brown people arrive.

It doesn't take huge numbers. A handful of willful men started it all.
Remember the American Revolution was caused by a very few numbers.
Remember its estimated that 1/3 of the continental population backed revolution.
1/3 were in favor of the Crown. 1/3 were neutral and didn't support either side.
Thus 33% dominated 66%. After the Revolution that 33% even drove many of the 33% pro British to Canada or England.

True apt story: nephew applied for disability. Had been out of work for a year, living with his dad. State said that he was disqualified because he was working, still at the same job and employer (he left because of his acquired physical disability.) Someone was using his social security number at his (then) old employers place of business.

Don't know exactly what happened, lawyers for my nephew were involved. Nephew got disability. Employer now out of business. I strongly suspect the employer was involved in the fraud since the New employee worked at the same physical address and outlet that my nephew had been working and e-verify is supposed to be in place in our state .
