They called me a socialist.
Yes PadreMike but still the hatred for FDR was much less severe and all-consuming than what the Dems have for Trump. AND the media wasn't leading the h**e charge as they almost unanimously now.

There's no question about the media's hatred for Trump. I can hardly believe that CNN and MSNBC are American news organizations. They are totally without balance and restraint in their singular objective to destroy Trump. They have become an anomaly inasmuch as they are a anarchist press in a free country.

Strange only Democrats of those times saw it as saving America from devestation. The construction of the Hoover dam provided several thousands of jobs, cheap electricity, reduced fossel fuel powered e*******l plants of polluting the air.
The jobs Corps planted billions of trees on cutover logging land which provided lumber and paper mills pulp to make paper and plywood. The trees prevents erosion and provided good clean air not to mention the hundreds of thounds if not millions of jobs.
But of course all that is not imprtant as a few insects, fish or birds or the American people are not as important in you environmentalists stupidity.
My tree farm consist of 4 square miles of longleaf pine trees. Money hungry capilest almost destroyed the species and now only about 3% remain in America.
I am not money hungry and only cut damaged or dead trees. I also replant what was cut due to fire, storm or dead trees.
I am a conservative affiliated with no political party. Since before there even was a United States, my forefathers were all conservitives. It worked for them and it works for me.
๐บ๐ธ God bless America and President Trump.

Once they have served two, done!!!
We need term limits from the SCOTUS down to city mayors...
I agree lindajoy. Our forefathers did not intent public service jobs to be retirement jobs.
President and House of Representatives all serve two terms and Congress one 6 year term.
SCOTUS is another matter. Good fair judges are another matter. Political party should not come into the decisions but it does.
Judges should.not be appointed for life. It wouldnt be fair to change the rules in the middle of a game.
I would suggest 20 year terms with one appointed every other year. This way one President can not stack the court with his appointees. The most he can appoint would be 4.
Once a present SCOTUS dies or retires that opening would be one of the setting President maximum of foure appointees.
Just food for thought.
๐บ๐ธ God bless America and President Trump.

Anyone with a normal brain would agree with you. But Socialist Dim-O-Crats well they don't have a normal brain......Example Nancy Pelosi.

PadreMike & Old Marine: if only CNN and CNBC ok but since its over 90% of the media, and there is no longer a Fairness Doctrine, I kinda favor a constitutional amendment repealing free press. Why should we be hypocrites?
If the GOP ever gets control of both houses and the presidency, and gets some guts, a strong law or constitutional amendment re Fairness Doctrine would be ok.

Probably Planned Murderhood, L***Q, take from those that work and give it to those that don't. Just a few for now let's see what he'll add to that.

Adolf Hitler modeled his economic programs after Franklin D. Roosevelt's CCC, WPA, etc. FDRโs programs were carefully constructed to make it appear as if he was actually doing something about the problem.
His very first action as president in 1933 was to devalue the dollar by 75%, plummeting the value of the life savings of anyone who had any. He ordered the seizing of all privately held gold making it illegal for anyone to have any, punishable by substantial prison time. Every deposit box in the country was sealed with government goons assigned to confiscate any gold when they were opened.
Murray Rothbard wrote a book called The Economics of F*****m covering his vaunted New Deal. By 1937, even his closest advisors were conceding that it hadnโt worked.
He was a barely competent attorney and the law firm that hired him did so because of his old money connections. There is memo from a senior partner at the firm to the other members to make sure they gave no work assignments to him of any import or complexity.
He was personally a nasty man, arrogant and insulting to common workers who couldnโt hurt him and a bootlicking opportunist for those who could help him. I know two anecdotes about him, one witnessed by my father during WWI, attesting to this.
He was a true f*****t.

Hey, Crazylibertarian,
Perhaps PeterS ALSO had these exact things in mind when he set out to liken socialism to FDR, he just didn't want to mention them. Scary thought, huh?
One thing is for sure, he should know now and, from now on, any time he praises FDR or socialism we'll all know that he is perfectly fine with such "tolerable f*****t side effects" as these, he just doesn't want anyone to point them out!

Any programs that better the lives of the middle class. We donโt want hand outs like corporate welfare, Farm subsidies, tax breaks for the 1% and Research and development monies from taxpayers.
