The soldiers have already left. Their mission was not immigration enforcement.

No it would be closer to $70 billion when finished but they would have to build it under ground to China to keep the expert Mexican tunnel diggers from digging tunnels or IED's to blow holes in it and steel bars ?? a Sawzill will take care of that. As long as there is money in it a wall is not going to stop anybody

The wall is color-blind...
Or is it permeable to caucasians only?
How does it make the judgement?
Could Elizabeth Warren get through?

Hope you and your wife are well and enjoying the new year...

Citing figures of what the wall would cost, no matter how much, is negated when you
compare the cost to what it costs us to let them in and pay all the welfare, education, healthcare, etc. costs associated with them. Without a wall those costs increase exponentially.

Apply it to your self. You can install a security system but if you're not home and someone breaks in, the siren screams and they don't care because it's going to take the police 20 or even 15 minutes to get there and they are going to be out in 10 which is the average for most home break-ins.

There absolutely is room and necessity for tech but that alone can't protect the border. There has to be obstruction to funnel people to where they can be processed, legally.

The other thing that needs to take place is getting harder on our resolve. Crack down on business' hiring i******s. Also it may need to come down to using lethal measures to actually get the message across that we are serious about them coming in legally.

They are called coyotes, they are the scum of the earth with what hell they create for the people who pay them tons of money for a better life and they don't provide. Well, I'd like to hunt coyotes to end their evil even though it would put a price on MY head. Mike

Yes a wall works this is the 21st century not the 15th century. So in the 15th century walls worked but we are in the 21st century where we have virtual walls. Democrats want 21st century technology to protect our borders not a 15th century technology.

Exactly. We pay $116 Billion a year in freebies and what have you for i******s. That's around $10 B a month and Pelosi can't agree to $5 B. https://www.watchdog.org/national/analysis-illegal-immigrants-cost-taxpayers-billion-annually/article_b51222e8-8b7b-11e8-8546-37063af1f318.html

Buf, I've been advocating for that for two years now. Lookout post every half mile or mile depending on the topography. Mike

Why do you think all of them want to get rid of Trump? I'm amazed he hasn't taken a lead pill to the head! Mike

It is much bigger than that...

Mitch, the b***h, McConnell, a big "anti-drug" Senator and stauch opponent of legalizing pot was linked through his wife's, Elaine Chao, to a cargo ship (owned by her family) which was stopped and searched before departing from Colombia recently, with approximately 90 pounds of cocaine found on board by the Coast Guard. This connection is not only relevant because of the family connection, but also because the Chao family has often made large donations to McConnell’s campaigns.

Strangely no charges have been filed. How hard is it to connect the dots, folks. The bastards in DC are crooked to the core! And the v**ers keep re-electing the assholes.

Joy, I don't understand you post. I live in Chesapeake Va. and almost daily see three Aircraft Carriers tied up to pier in Norfolk while four are at sea. We have 11 active Aircraft Carriers with 5 or six at duty at all times.

We have a new Carrier coming on line which is going to replace the Nimitz class with the Gerald Ford class which is so updated it's crazy. If you remember President Trump questioned as to why they were going from steam catapults to magnetic.

My son in law spent 10 years on a Nimitz class carrier and still works at a ship yard refurbishing these great ships.

They can go 20 years without refueling. Their biggest problem is keeping enough food on board to feed 5000 three meals a day. They have three kitchens on board, two Hospitals with Ors. The ships produce their own fresh water from seawater.

I would suggest you Google a carrier. I think you'd be amazed and really enjoy the experience.

I also use to do the pig cook for the SEAL TEAMS in August at Little Creek, Va. Lived with them and had one living at my parents house. God bless America. Mike

I would have chosen different examples as I believe we do need aircraft carriers after Bill Clinton decommissioned almost all of them. I believe he decommissioned 13 which has so far been replaced with 1 new carrier actually in operation and several in the pipeline. But I don't know how much of the costs are unnecessary.

But there are other places to get the funds. To start, Trump slashed $1 billion from the cost of the new Air Force One. Then there is the Pentagon reported “expired unobligated balance” of $27.7 billion in its most recent financial report. I'm sure with a little digging, more $billions could be discovered in wasteful spending, unnecessary spending, or expired sums.

Joy, not to defend Bill Clinton, the carriers that were decommissioned during his watch were done by the Navy. They were the last of the oil(bunker) burners. We have maintained an eleven carrier fleet. We are now going to a 13 fleet but that won't be for many years.

Joy, utube USA aircraftcarrier. I think you'll love it. Mike

Just a thought or two:
The same post-WWII decision makers that created the state of Israel decided that other refugees should have rights also.
That is what is happening. It is much easier to go back to pre-WWII mentality.
I would h**e to be a refugee, especially a child. I can remember being scared as a child.
If there is a problem with the number of refugees coming into the U.S., then it should be solved at the source, the country of origin, not persecuting the victims. End of story

Pelosi and Schumer are holding government workers hostage for political spite. The Dems have been getting their own way for years by throwing temper tantrums and name calling. Well not this time.

This time the People’s Champion - PRESIDENT TRUMP - is standing up to them and will stop this economic migration madness.

Frankly, every one of those people now waiting for their next paycheck has known from the regular shutdowns of the past, that their paychecks could be disrupted. They should either save for a rainy day, or seek a different job. Working for the government is a lifestyle choice - eating from the government trough comes with other Civil Service benefit that we in the private sector don’t get.

Some gov’t workers have applied for ‘free money’ to o tide them over, others are treating this as the free paid holiday it is.

The ones having to work yet having their pay delayed, should be reclassified as ‘essential’. No sympathy whatsoever for the contractors, as the companies they work for are responsible for their paychecks.
