The debts that I've incurred, and paid all required my signature. Except for taxes. They require that I pay, or look down the barrel of a gun.

Would you like me to go on a spending spree on your card without you knowing where it went?

Crap! I was going to make a point, but had a brain fart!

I h**e it when that happens!

I first heard that "we are rich" stuff in bible school when I was in Jr high.. I failed to see the logic even then..

am I rich, by American standards? because the rest of the world has different standards and I do not life there..

On the other hand, I have a lady down the road from the Philippines, and sold some of my equipment to a man from Africa.. Lagos... what ever nation that is in..

they both thought we were rich.. the lady still, after about 17 years now, is amazed when she goes to the grocery market and see all the food.. thinks she is in heaven..

On the 3rd hand, do I feel rich?? tell the t***h, at times I do.. I have some great people in my world..both family and friends.. Even on OPP....maybe...

I gotta brag... my son is gloating today.. he was interviewed on twin city TV last night per one of his cases and got to pontificate as he has not done sense he dropped his own practice.

So archie... with all my convoluted standards... I would say you are rich also..

I could of done a comparison of living standards world over, but it seems so over done.. Have a nice day Archie...

You know that we are not far apart on the subject of TAXES, but I see nothing to be done about it..

wish we could force more value for the dollar. I could go on forever about over priced projects..

As for kids.. a weak spot for me.. reason tends to leave me..

how could we have any sort of taxation if everyone got to choose their own preference on how it was spent?

much as I would like that...

Nutcase Pelosi says building the Wall is immoral, expensive, and ineffective. O.K.. I’ll give her expensive. What isn’t the govt. builds? Ineffective ? Not necessarily. Arguments on both sides of that debate. But immoral? Not at all. It’s immoral to force tax payers to pay to help people break our laws.

PEELOSI has a wall around her estate in Californication...a 12 foot one.

I with you on the kids. My daughter is getting married on Saturday, and they will have one of those bouncy house things there. I'll have to fight my instincts to not jump in with them. I'm not 30 anymore, and those kids will hurt you!

As far as our money goes, we need to get government under control. I know, it will never happen, but some of those South American countries receive more millions of dollars from us than their population numbers.
I can look it up later, and post it, but you can go to Usaid.gov. and it shows what we give Honduras, Guatamala, etc, what it's for, and their populations if you can navigate it.
Check it out if you get time.

Easy answer here. Is it immoral to lock the doors on your house, or control who is allowed to access your bank account?

It is immoral to not protect your family and your property but to leave your family vulnurable to attacks from those who want to take your life's work and savings as well as damage your family. That is not being selfish. It is to honor your family by protecting them. You have the right, and obligation, to distribute your property as you see fit, and share with those you want to share with, not just to any thug who demands it.

Sorry, but that wasn't Peelosi's home.

Actually her NAPA valley estate does have a wall but it is not the wall but the armed guards that will keep the deplorables out...

Not ineffective if done right. See walls around the world. They can work. To be a sovereign nation we need borders. We help others break our laws by treating i******s as they’ve done nothing wrong.

And given that the entire cost of the wall would pay for itself very quickly when compared to the cost of i*****l i*********n as it now stands, it (the wall) would be a win-win situation for every American, except, of course, for self seeking Democrat politicians who see these i******s as future v**es.

Because I am a liberal and I own a gun. Probably not the answer you were seeking.

But here is the problem with that border wall. Mexico is currently the #5 source of i*****l i*******ts entering the USA. In fact no Hispanic country is in the top 4. Those would all be Asian countries. They get a work visa, enter the country via the airport then when that visa expires they just don’t leave. And guess what - unlike Mexico where we can deport citizens we cannot deport them back to most Asian countries. 60% of all i******s from 2015 - 2018 are Asians.

See how useless that border wall is?

Then take into account there are thousands of tunnels, two waterways to swim around and they can even get a plane ticket to visit Canada and cross the northern border.

By the time we build a multi-billion dollar wall and get it done it will barely stop 10% of i*****l i*********n. That is a monumental waste of money.

That’s why liberals are against the border wall. We know without any doubt that it will make no significant difference in our immigration problem.

informative post perm!I'm a moderate who along with our grassroots group pause for the cause last meet
also pointed out most if not all what you have.
I suspect you like us have been called all manner of things but at least you hang in there in much the same way I do.
good on ya! yes the difference is minimal at best was our conclusion. I suppose unless one lives near or on the border,
which neither of us do,therein lies the issue from their POV.

appreciate the research or shall we say backup since we know Cons will rebuke you,it is just the nature of the beast
on OPP.the first open forum I've seen or belonged where members/ posters cannot agree to disagree or find common ground, that's sad!every now and then we see logic and common sense prevail but not nearly enough since many can't or won't give up or let go of the h**e people have toward one another these days. 😳
