I live in Purcell, about 15 miles from Noble. At one time Kendall's had closed in Noble and moved to Purcell. I can't afford to eat there very often though, I'd weigh 400 lbs. It is definitely an excellent chicken fried steak. Another place for a good, huge, chicken fried steak is Lambert's at Ozark, MO just South of Springfield. We stop there whenever we go to Branson or to my kids in Indiana. At Lambert's they bring it out in a big skillet and the steak is as big as the skillet.

Actually, the plants (there are two) are located in upstate New York and Twin Falls, Idaho. You know, the Twin Falls where that little girl was raped by the two young Muslim boys in an apartment complex laundry room while an older Muslim boy videoed the act. And yes, he primarily hires Muslim refugees.

I agree about the antacid thing. I needed to own stock in Rolaids before I upped my chilies intake but I hold them to the lower heat versions. Like you, I have no indigestion problems and it's probably because of the capstasan. Mike

It's going to be a really long time before I can get up to the Carolina Reaper and I'm not quite ready yet to try eating ghost peppers. I do have ghost pepper flakes and Trinidad Scorpion pepper flakes, both of which I got from Amazon. I just use them for seasonings in chili and other dishes, but I can only put them in the part I'm going to eat as my wife can't handle any of the hot stuff.

I thought the same thing. If the stuff puts you into the hospital, that is bad. The only " hot " thing I eat is horseradish. I remember reading about a chili challenge a few decades ago where a small restaurant had a chili that if you finished the bowl you won some kind of prize. In the history of the contest only one person did it. He was a young Mexican guy and it did put him into the hospital.

I must be one of the unusual people who can tolerate these hot chili's and really enjoy them. I eat habaneros regularly and jalapenos are like candy to me. We have a Mexican restaurant (Ted's Escondido) near us that has the absolute best habanero salsa they bring with the chips, queso, and red salsa. They also have one they call Atomic Salsa which is very flavorful, but isn't very hot at all. The habanero salsa has a lot of flavor even though it is quite hot. I also make my own salsa, but I use several kinds of chili's including ripe (red) Serrano, ripe (red) jalapeno, ripe (orange) habanero, and ripe (red or orange) ghost peppers. I haven't tried the Trinidad Scorpion or Carolina Reapers yet. Haven't eaten a raw ghost pepper either, I know that one is going to be too hot by itself. I saw a video of a crazy red-neck eat 5 ghost peppers in a row then down a fifth of Fire Ball liquor. He then tried to drink a gallon of milk as he cursed, cried, and puked. I don't know what kind of idiot would try that and to post it on YouTube as well. Guess he just wanted his few minutes of fame. And in case anyone is wondering, I don't have to eat antacids or take pepto. In fact I don't have any stomach problems. I did years ago, but that was before I started eating the really hot chili peppers. They do have one benefit, they give you one heckuva endorphin rush from the heat.

I had Paleo pancakes yesterday.

One banana, mashed.
One egg
Two heaping tbsp almond butter.
Mix together to make batter, heat skillet, add ghee (clarified butter), drop batter in skillet to make pancakes. Made three pancakes and tasted very good.

Shalom Aleikhem (Peace upon you)! Yes I am Jewish and you are absolutely correct in your observations! Indeed, you are a blessing, most people do not understand this simple truth. Even in the Christian (new Testament) much has been "arranged" to equal or exceed expectations. In defense, all most have or read is what the budding Catholic Church determined was acceptable. Not many folks today can read the dead languages... Latin is only required for doctors (some Universities no longer require Latin), Aramaic and Hebrew are only required by Orthodox Jews.... and modern Greek is very different than what was spoken in the time of Jesus.

And NO you are not rambling, your observations are spot on!

I'm not Jewish, although someday I would like to be. But at my age, 72, that doesn't seem very likely. The closest synagogue or temple is about 45 miles one way and there are no other Jews where I live, so I have to rely on what I can learn on my own. My wife is Baptist which doesn't help things either. I do attend church with her occasionally and wear my kippa and Star of David and no o need in the church seems to mind. Well, it's past my bedtime (1:10 am) so enough for tonight.

Shalom Pennylynn, are you Jewish? Sorry, rhetorical question. It seems to me the problem with this question and other bible questions that arise, meanings are due to what the translators want the words to mean. For instance, the word moshiach appears 39 times in the Jewish scriptures, and it is translated correctly as anointed one in 37 of those places in the KJV. But in only one place is it translated twice as messiah, and that is in Daniel 9. That's because in, Daniel 9, the translator needed it to mean messiah rather than anointed one. And in one of those places it is even preceded by the definite article to make it 'the messiah'. I hope that all makes sense. I tend to ramble sometimes.

Why hasn't Trump drained the IRS/DOJ swamp?
Posted by Mark Meckler on August 18, 2017

Many promises were made during the 2016 Presidential campaign.

One of Donald Trump’s main promises was to — say it with me — drain the swamp.

I love swamp-draining, because most Americans are sick and tired of the politics-as-usual in Washington, DC.

At the Wall Street Journal, Kimberly Strassel writes about the very swampy IRS… and how nothing has been done to hold that agency accountable since Trump took office:

Donald Trump promised to drain the swamp, and here’s a seven-month progress report: The Washington bog is still as wide and fetid as ever. Consider that Mr. Trump’s Justice Department has inexplicably continued to defend the IRS’s misdeeds under President Obama.

Voters put a Republican in the White House in part to impose some belated accountability on the scandal-laden Obama administration.

And the supreme scandal was the IRS’s assault on tea-party groups—a campaign inspired by congressional Democrats, perpetrated by partisan bureaucrats like Lois Lerner, and covered up by Mr. Obama’s political appointees.

This abuse stripped the right to political speech from thousands of Americans over two election cycles. To this day, no one has answered for it.

I talked to Strassel while she was writing her piece and had to admit — regrettably — that “the posture of the DOJ and the IRS under the Trump administration is identical to the posture under the Obama administration.

Nothing has changed.” That’s because the same corrupt, partisan Obama-era lawyers are still there. They’re still doing the same things. If ever a place has deserved to be drained, it’s the IRS.

Strassel echoes the sentiment of most Americans when she states that this is not acceptable:

There is no question the IRS did wrong. It has been documented by the Treasury Department’s inspector general and admitted by the IRS itself. It’d be one thing if the plaintiffs were demanding a billion-dollar payout, but they aren’t.

Their main request is that the IRS come clean on what happened, and the government is resisting with all its power. The real question is why the Justice Department is even fighting this suit, when it ought to be leading a renewed investigation into what happened and how it got covered up.

I agree. It’s a shame that this ever happened in our nation’s history. We have a unique opportunity to let the guilty pay for what they did to patriotic Americans. I admire Donald Trump’s proclamations about “draining the swamp,” and the IRS is in bad need of draining.

This is clear-cut abuse. There’s no reason to waste another day before justice is done.
