If Obama's birth certificate was legit why would they make Sheriff Joe pay dearly for investigating ? ?

After all I'd think that Obama and the Demo's would be delighted to have had Sheriff Joe prove his birth certificate was legit now wouldn't they !

Going after Sheriff Joe makes it sure like there was something there they didn't want to have out in the open !

A funny thing happened on the way to the circus. The birth certificate released by Obama in 2012 was analyzed by the Maricopa County cold case posse and found to have nine points of fraudulent activity. The experts analyzing the certificate identified at least nine anomalies pointing to a fraudulently produced document. They were even able to identify the document the 'nine points' were copied from. As if that wasn't bad enough, they also identified a flaw in the Hawaiian laws allowing foreigners to gain American birth certificates. You just can't make this stuff up!

http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/arpaio-obama-probe-finds-national-security-threat/

So what does he do? Well, what could he do? Consider:

โ€œAlthough I am having a difficult time deciding who to forward this information to given the fact that the obvious choices report directly to the president, I cannot stand by and hold on to information that threatens to weaken national security,โ€ Arpaio said.

Now, ain't that just peachy?

Prohibition is the control or outright forbidding of the possession of an item of property. When something is prohibited, you are not allowed to own it. Someone else assumes control of your property rights.

How much government oppression do you really deal with?

A lot. An awful lot. You have no idea just how much government oppression is seen in our daily lives because you do not notice it. It's a lot.

Dummy Boy wrote:
Is it a concept you just discovered? What exactly do you mean by oppression?

No. I've been screaming about it for many years. Oppression is 'prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control'.

Dummy Boy wrote:
Do you really believe that you are uniquely oppressed by the government?

Oh, no. There are millions of us. Even you, too, but you just don't know it.

Dummy Boy wrote:
Did you get a DUI?

No.

Dummy Boy wrote:
Do you walk around town calling people names?

Depends. Are they being dumbasses? Normally I don't bother, but sometimes I just can't resist...

Dummy Boy wrote:
Do you avoid paying taxes, but love having roads and fire and police services?

Taxes don't pay for roads, fire and police services. Taxes pay the interest on the debt to the Federal Reserve System. Currency inflation pays for roads, fire and police services.

I see. When was the last time you wrote to your Congressman and got a letter back that wasn't some standard, boilerplate reply he sends to everyone? As for 'freely and equally chosen', not for a century or more.

Dummy Boy wrote:

'Gun-free' zones, anyone? If it is our "right and duty to be at all times armed", why then are we scanned at the courthouse? Why are we strip-searched before getting on a commercial aircraft? Why are my children left vulnerable to mass murder in the school system? "Right and duty" my ass. Don't even start me on the convoluted process of buying a firearm. I picked one up at WalMart years ago. The counter employee actually escorted me out of the store before handing it to me. It felt like I was being 'perp-walked'. Like I was some dangerous criminal.

Dummy Boy wrote:

Oh, puhleeeze! Illegal searches and seizures are routine all over the country. Have you not heard of the 'stop and frisk' activities in New York City? Just stop somebody in the street and pat them down. No rhyme, no reason, just felt like it.

Dummy Boy wrote:

Oh, sure, just pick a religion. Didn't work out too well for the Branch Davidians in Waco did it? Then again, as long as it's Islam, the 'religion of peace', you should be OK.

Civil forfeiture, anyone? Prohibition, anyone? Property taxes (government rent payments), anyone?

A free national press that's owned by what, five people in total? And a few of them are foreigners. Yeah, free to advance the agenda of their buddies in Congress. For a 'small' consideration, of course.

Thomas Jefferson would be horrified to see what we tolerate today. Take a look at the list of grievances included in the Declaration of Independence (that he wrote, by the way) and see how many we suffer with to this day.

Is One Political Plaza right-wing propaganda? Have you noticed that about 96% posts on OPP are extreme right wing? Why is it so extreme?

96% is a fairly precise number. How did you come to that conclusion? Did you go through all the historic posts on OPP and rate them according to some arbitrary standard adding up the totals and then working out the ratios from there? Fascinating.

Anyway, to answer your question, no, the majority of what you're seeing and (I assume) calling right-wing propaganda is actually based on the understanding of just a few historical documents that were written in plain English but for some reason require 'interpreting' when questions are raised as to what they consent to or do not consent to.

First among these is the Unanimous Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4th, 1776:

http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/index.html

That's quite a list, is it not? How would you like to have to put up with that?

Next, and equally important, we have the 1781 Articles of Confederation:

https://usconstitution.net/articles.html

As you can see, the Founders were very enthusiastic about severely limiting their government to a very few specific functions. In fact, they limited it so severely that it was literally unable to function, leading to the Constitution of 1789, as amended:

https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/constitution-transcript

Anyone with an average high school reading level should be able to read and understand each of these documents as they apply to the legal basis of the Federal Government in Washington, DC. Once these documents have been read and understood, many of the so-called 'right wing propaganda' posts here on OPP make infinitely more sense. It's a simple case of being able to navigate by first knowing where you are on the map and seeing where you want to go. From there you just orient the map to ground and start walking.

As an aside, don't fall for this whole 'left/right' political paradigm. Here's a better model:

Except in the 'court of public opinion' of course.

He is running for the Senate. Alabamans have to decide whether they should send this man to Washington to represent them in the Senate. The standard is not "innocent until proven guilty." It is what do Alabamans think about this man based on what they have read by the time Election Day occurs.

Not only is he not 'innocent until proven guilty', he hasn't even been arrested. Not only is there no case, there isn't even 'probable cause'. and yet here we sit, jurors in the court of public opinion.

Tgards79 wrote:
There will be no trial by then to determine either guilt or innocence.

That's right. No arrest, no charges, no trial. Just a ceaseless smear campaign.

Tgards79 wrote:
So that cannot be the standard. Alabamans have to make their own judgment on the merits. You have to ask yourself, why would these women make this up out of whole cloth, throwing their lives into utter disarray? Simply to try to swing an election? That seems unlikely to me. Their stories are detailed

Like I always say whenever someone does something that, on the surface, makes no sense. Follow the money. There's money changing hands here, I just know it, I can almost taste it.

Tgards79 wrote:
Moore has not denied that he dated teenagers, and plenty of people seem to have corroborated that he hung around in malls and dated teenage girls.

OK, and teenage girls dated him right back. What does that prove? What does that even allude to? That he liked having young girls around? Big whoop. At least they were girls.

Tgards79 wrote:
The important thing, Alabamans: judge the man by yourself, now, based on what you have read.

Ding! There it is. There's the 'money shot'. "[J]udge the man by yourself, now, based on what you have read". Based on what you have read. Do it. Now.

Tgards79 wrote:
Don't hide behind "innocent until proven guilty" because that would be true if he shot a man yesterday in cold blood.

Also be true if he blew up the White House, or knifed an infant, stole a car, or committed any other crime under the sun, but not for what he's accused of, right? No-one gets to 'hide behind' the presumption of innocence. The presumption of innocence is a maxim that attempts to ensure cooler heads prevail and justice is served. This (very wise) assumption is based on the cast-iron fact that it is impossible to prove a negative. He cannot possibly prove that he did not do these things, hence the burden of proof always rests with the accuser to prove he did do these things.

Tgards79 wrote:
Just because there is no time for a trial does not preclude guilt. You have to figure that out yourself on this one.

Yeah. No time for an arrest, either. Wait! Does that mean he's 'above the law'?

Having said all that if Moore is guilty then he should drop out !

By saying that, you're practically guaranteeing that he will stay in since, by your logic, if he drops out he's admitting guilt. On the other hand, if he stays in, the character assassination will continue until he either drops out or his party forces him out. But if his party forces him out, isn't that an assumption of guilt by the party? And if he actually manages to stay in until election day, what are his chances of being elected after spending weeks being accused of awful crimes against multiple women?

Here's an interesting question. If these allegations are as true as many of his detractors want you to believe they are, why has he not been arrested and charged with the crimes he is being accused of? Could it be that these allegations are actually... Baseless? That there is no evidence beyond the usual 'he said/she said' one might expect from an 'accuser' who takes 40 years to come forward? To quote Alexander Hamilton, "I smell a rat".

PR - I think what "comparers" might be referring to are lists like this one that circulate periodically on the internet.

It's called a 'meme'. These things are used to try and shut down civil discourse by making outrageous claims that are not worthy of reply. Of course, when there is no reply, the meme user then declares victory because he shut the civil side of the discussion down. In their tiny minds, no reply is equivalent to winning the argument.

PaulPisces wrote:
The last claim about Muslims wearing IDs is a little shaky - it grew from an interview where he was (as usual) not exactly clear. It was a "we can't rule anything out" kind of comment.

"[A] little shaky". I'd say. It was during his campaign, after he had made his now famous 'build the wall' speech. He was attempting to put across his proposals on immigration and the Yahoo News interviewer tries to bait him by asking if he might require registering Muslims in a database or giving them a form of special identification that noted their religion. He never said he would. That didn't matter. The question was enough to accuse him of Nazism.

In addition to this list, Trump shares a common strategy with Hitler of trying to discredit/demonize the free press. That seed has been planted and seems to be flourishing beyond expectations.

Discredit? Demonize? Does it occur to you that his problems with the press are real? Does it occur to you that mainstream media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC are actually attempting to mislead the public with their underhanded reporting tactics? Does it occur to you that the public see this for what it is and that's why these claims are 'flourishing'?

PaulPisces wrote:

Yet you compare him to the most infamous mass murderer to ever walk the Earth? A man so evil his own family changed their names to avoid being associated with him in any way. I would not be surprised to find that there is no-one left on this planet bearing the name 'Hitler'. Yet you place his likeness next to the President of the United States and draw similarities? Are you familiar with the word 'sedition'?

PaulPisces wrote:

Why? Why do you say that? What is it about this man that makes you think that he is a universal 'threat to democracy'. What does he stand for that you fear so much? Why are you so seditious?

PaulPisces wrote:

The word 'buffoon' is defined as 'a ridiculous but amusing person; a clown'. So on the one hand you compare him to the most infamous mass murderer in the history of the planet, on the other you refer to him as a harmless amusement. Can you make your mind up? Are you capable of deciding one way or another? You're not blonde, are you?

Not exactly damning??? I know this is getting repetitive, but really? You compared him to Adolf Hitler, for Pete's sake! You described him as a universal threat to democracy! If I believed those things about someone, I'd say it's 'damning'. I'd go a lot further than that. I'd be yelling it from the rooftops and holding public meetings to spread the word. I'd be sending 'hit pieces' to the editor of the local newspaper. I might even sic Matt Drudge on them. I most certainly wouldn't consider someone with those traits to be Presidential material, so on that we can shake hands and agree. The rest of it? Meh, not so much.

I wish you well. Of course, you will not be receiving any replies that make any sense, and you will be targeted as a dissident in the judicial system. From now on, every time your license plate goes across one of those automatic readers, you'll be pulled over and harassed, just for the fun of it. Better not react; you'll be on your way to jail charged with 'resisting'. Don't call for assistance or to report a crime, they'll be all over you looking for any tiny reason to drag you back to that awful cage for another night in the freezer.

How do I know this? Because it happened to me. The one thing they hate more than anything else is to know that you are not afraid of them. When one of them sticks his gun in your face and threatens to "blow your fucking head off", and you tell him to kiss your ass, that's when you'll feel the hate. As the good Judge said, "It's dangerous to be right when the government is wrong". I still have my head. The cop who threatened me, unfortunately, also still has his job.

And don't expect any justice from your local courts; they're just as bad if not worse than the cops you have to deal with on the street. I had one judge who deliberately suppressed pertinent evidence in order to force me to agree to an adjudication instead of a jury trial, because there was no way a jury would have convicted me on no evidence whatsoever. Then she literally gave me the stiffest punishments she was allowed to impose. And don't think you'll get any kind of relief from the public defender's office, they hide their collusion under a veil of incompetence. A judge suppresses evidence, the public defender appeals to the next higher court on your instructions. The reason for the appeal? "Denial of a quick and speedy trial". No, Dumbass! It was supposed to be based on the suppression of evidence! Better luck next time, right?

Anyway, yeah, I really do wish you well. I have a feeling you might need it.
