Perhaps your perception of what is extreme is skewed? Many of us are over 70. The morals and values we learned at our home were shared by our neighbors, in our schools, our churches, our communities, cities, and in our country. We were the backbone, the "standard" and the strengths of America. We haven't changed and yet today the moral relativistic Marxist left calls us "extreme."

How do you define extremist? If you are a "progressive" then, if the posts are correct, you believe that homosexual acts should be promoted in grade school. The progressives on OPP also promote removal of any mention of Christian beliefs, Christian, God or the Ten commandments. From all the posts I have read on OPP the progressives also promote the fraud that claims that transgender is a genetic normal variant and pretend that there is science to back up the claim. But then, it is also "progressive truth" that the science of man made global warming is "settled" even as the frauds behind it are exposed. The progressives on OPP, as do the rest of the "progressives" in America, celebrate socialism and hate capitalism, even knowing the socialism is a failure where ever it has been tried, and requires a dictatorship to steal from those who are producers to give to those who do not produce but prefer to remain moochers. As one of the OPP posters (actually 2, as SWMBO believes as I do, often more emphatically) who is a true conservative and proud of it, I do not consider my demand that the constitution be followed EXTREME RIGHT WING, but I do understand why the socialists and communists on the left would think so.
by the way, if I am removed from OPP for this comment, I will not be surprised at all.

I was wondering what they mean by extreme also. Extreme seems to me going out and having a scream day because you're still upset a year later over an election. Extreme seems to me when students destroy property wear masks and shout down speakers with an opposing views. Extreme seems to me that a person would always defend the rights of any minority over the rights of the vast majority. Oh well, what do I know? I'm an extremest.

Well....yeah, most posters on OPP are on the conservative side of the political spectrum.And there is some propaganda here.

More importantly, for us 'commies' the site is a pretty direct window into the soul of right-wing thinking. Look at it this way: if you can make a sock puppet that would pass for a right winger, then the site will have educated you in how the right thinks. Well worth putting up with some of the more irrelevant stuff. OPP has made me even more sure that liberalism is a better way of seeing.

I've wondered that myself. OPP and its sister forums originated in Florida. That may have something to do with the prevailing attitude on the forum.
OPP has more than its share of trolls who depend on anonymity in order to function. Trolls prefer insults rather than honest debate. Your topic will disturb a nest of them.

It's only replying in like kind of the Left. The Left, Democrats, leave nothing hidden any more, they are out in your face. So, should it be any wonder the right should remain timid and not respond? I don't think so. If someone insults you, you're going to respond in the same manner it was taken.

There have been several good, reasonable responses on this thread so far, and I hope Straight Shooter will come back, and address some of them. I'm curious.
