I believe it is "Fake News" I live in the KRGV broadcast zone and have seen no stories referencing the incident in question. Often the stories of violence are buried but there have been no stories or rumors of stories, and after checking with several Border Patrol agents (they haven't heard of it either) brand this FAKE NEWS...

I suspect that this is fake news. Following the link to KRGV and finding no related story, I googled it... still no story, so I went to the home page and found an article on Bigfoot sanctuary as well as our President having stigmata.... I am leaning toward this being fake. I may be wrong... but???

A reasonable solution...impractical but reasonable nonetheless...application of the solution would be bloody and distasteful but it would solve the problem for at least twelve generations.

I'll venture out on a different, bumpier road that no one else want's to go down. The cause of much of the worlds present and future troubles can be blamed on 'progress'. Progress in science, medicine and technology. Why? Because it has allowed people to live longer and multiply more rapidly. Thus we have over populated the planet with people who, in turn, place more demands for more of everything. The solution would be a considerable reduction of the earth's population then everything else would follow suite. I would suggest the entire continent of Africa and most of the middle and near east. Now before you holler 'racist', it's not about race. It's simply that the inhabitants of these area's main contribution to mankind is trouble and returning Africa to it's natural green state should go a long way to cleansing the atmosphere. I will now don my protective gear for the slings and arrows sure to follow.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, in all probability it is a duck. This is logical thought. therefore if they look like a thug/terrorist, talk like a thug/terrorist, act like a thug/terrorist, in actuality it is beyond probable that they are a thug/terrorist.... gang tattoos, manner of dress and speech, are indicators of possible actions. profiling works in many instances to prevent crime. If you do not want to be profiled don't act or dress, or tattoo yourself up like a thug, act appropriately, and if stopped by law enforcement be respectful.

What is the general feeling among you OPP'ers on the generic issue of "profiling"?

Do you feel this is a logical and acceptable tool to be used by employers, law enforcement personnel, and the general public in our everyday lives?

I have been a contributor to OPP for going on close to four years now, and continually question what power this forum has over me.

It is true that I have made numerous OPP friends over time...even having met up to fifteen of them personally in my travels across my state and the nation. Even more friends have been established through PMs and e-mails in open and friendly exchanges, along with publicly expressed exchanges on the forum. As I have stated in previous posts, those friends range from possibly the most zealous of conservative ideologues to varying levels of progressive individuals. Keep in mind, I am not necessarily putting those labels on them so much as they have been pigeon-holed, IMO, by the majority of OPP posters. And yet, as once again as stated in previous posts, all appear(ed) to be red-blooded and true blue, patriotic Americans. The only difference is/was in their political perspectives. I was raised and taught to believe that is something conceded to all citizens of this great nation...freedom of speech or expression.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were two of our most beloved and respected forefathers. Yet, in lifetimes and careers that criss-crossed one another, they often had the most vile and bitter of political disputes. Still, neither of them could remotely be considered any less than two of the most influential founders of both our country and its founding documents. Their latter years (with political disputes behind them) were spent in steady personal dialogue and communication which exposed their respect for one another and their love of country. Why is it that, today, those of us who differ in our approaches to honoring our country can't find a way similar to those two great men in reaching an accord with honor and respect for opposing opinions?

There are many Veterans on this forum and I respectfully honor all of them for their service and sacrifice. Yet, I have seen numbers of exchanges between Veterans, some of whom shed blood for our country...disparaging/disrespecting other Veterans simply because of opposing political or ideological stances on matters subject to discussion on the forum. One side or the other often lambasts the other for, according to them, lack of proper respect or love of country. At what point has one paid enough for an honest expression of their patriotism and love of country? I doubt that any service member, in a past firefight or foxhole, questioned the compatriots alongside them their political party or ideology. Why would any question the patriotism of a Veteran in a political discussion when each has served and often fought for the right to express an opinion? And, better yet, why would anyone question a Veteran as to their patriotism, especially when they have earned it with their allegiance and service to country while, as stated, oft-time...with their blood?

Getting back to my original premise: I find myself continually questioning why I stay on this forum. I guess it is because I am in constant search of the common thread that may, once again, bind us all: The eventual hope and belief that the best within our forefathers will emerge once again and we will begin to re-affirm ourselves as the greatest nation to have ever graced this good earth. I don't think that this will come about by steadfast devotion to any political party or ideology, but by the belief in ourselves as a nation of Americans, one and all.

You forget that Clapper lied to congress about metadata gathering on All Americans. It is no stretch of the imagination to assume that President Trump's communications were monitored by NSA or the FBI without benefit of warrants. It is standard operating procedure for the government to circumvent the law, the FBI, NSA, CIA etc are all guilty of using "Rogue" agents to achieve their nefarious goals...

Raylan you are the stupid one, the folks in that video were voicing their beliefs...beliefs that they are entitled to, they are voicing their opinions which they are entitled to, you notice that one of them stated that he would not change his beliefs for money...most of them feel that way...they refuse the largess of the government because by taking the money they would be compromising their beliefs. Liberals are not wired that way, the liberals in the first video were not only illinformed, they were ignorant as most liberals are...liberals as a whole are parrots of the party line, never really knowing what they are for or against, waiting to be told by their "betters" what to do and or say...just like you!!!

FEBRUARY 17, 2017

A new study has added significant weight to President Donald Trump’s claims on mass voter fraud in the 2016 general election.

A new report has concluded there could have been up to 2.1 million non-citizens that illegally cast a ballot last year — a startling number that backs up Trump’s claim that he won the popular vote.

The analysis was done by James D. Agresti from the independent think-tank Just Facts, which concluded “Contrary to the claims of certain major media outlets and fact checkers, a comprehensive analysis of this issue shows that substantial numbers of non-citizens vote illegally in U.S. elections.”

The Horn News reported in January that a previous Dartmouth University study found more than 834,000 votes for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton were cast illegally.

Additionally, in December of last year a massive voter fraud scheme was uncovered during the Michigan recount that included dozens of instances of people voting twice.

Last Sunday, Presidential adviser Stephen Miller also warned about an illegal voter fraud scheme that is suspected to have taken place in New Hampshire.

And during the election, hidden camera footage caught Democratic party members plotting a massive voter fraud scheme, while multiple reports of dead voters illegally casting ballots and evidence of voting machine tampering surfaced all across the country.

It’s an issue the mainstream media doesn’t want Americans talking about.

But the more evidence that surfaces, the more clear an urgent investigation is needed.

It’s time Americans demand the Trump administration look into these claims once and for all.
