I was Drugged....

The reason our society is going to hell in a hand basket is
because we no longer drug our children. Trust me I was
drugged.

I was Drugged....

The other day I was talking to someone at a store in our town about a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question, Why didn't we have a drug problem when we were growing up?

I replied that I had a drug problem when I was young: I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults. I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the priest, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity. I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flower beds. I was drug to the homes of neighbors to help mow the yard, repair the clothesline, and if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, my dad would have drug me back to the woodshed.

Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, of heroin: and if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place.

God bless the parents who drugged us.

AMEN filled with truth as well..
Goes back to societal up bringing between right and wrong.. A parent at home that taught it, not one or both out now working two jobs to barely survive..

Kids left running the streets or who spend hours on Xbox kill games do condition them !!

We have traded values for the now known "me syndrome " and nothing else matters while the progressive movement Smithers in filling our next generation with wants of nothing different, everyone the same, etc...

Wondrous thoughts that scare me!!

Kids no longer respect their parents and they sure have no healthy fear of them.

My dad told me if I ever got in trouble "don't worry about the police, you worry about me".

I grew up to be a foot taller and 3x his body weight and I always said yes sir and no sir.

Great post, Cold Iron. That's the way it should be. If some of these panty waste college kids would've been drugged that way, we wouldn't have all these riots on campuses. So sad they are not even able to think for themselves or even know what they're rioting about.....

Unfortunately, in today's society, the liberals have LEGALIZED many drugs that are detrimental to people's health and well being. All in the name of "If it feels good, do it." Much of what used to be morally and legally unacceptable in society has been accepted and made legal by politicians and judges with NO MORALS. Churches and Christianity have been under attack (islam is fine) and unnatural acts and conditions (homosexual, transgender, etc.) have been accepted as the "new normal". When citizens of this country speak out and oppose this trend, they are vilified in the MSM and those same politicians and judges pass laws FORCING those people to accept what they believe to be wrong and unnatural. As usual, it's all about money and the power over people who don't agree.

It looks like you had the same drug problem I had growing up. We definitely need some more of that type of drug problems in this country and parents should be held accountable for the actions of their children like it was when we were growing up.
