You have that right.

Bad things had happened & some one had to be blamed.

It wasn't a good idea to blame your business partner, but some one needed to die.

Funny how that works, isn't it. I have come to understand that "winning" is high over rated, that "understanding" is far more important. Ran across a quote the other day that "might" apply here. "Giving up doesn't mean you are weak. Sometimes, it means that you are strong enough to let go."

Have to ask why are all these bankers being killed.

For the most part GW is a decent enough person. But it was plain to see he was in over his head. You could see that he even had a hard time selling what he was asked to say.

I was not pleased at all of what came out of his time in office.

What we have today is the carrying on of most of the things done during his time in office.

So much or what is coming out from the Right to day is because those on the right wish to cover up the bad that was done when GW was in office & is still going on. It just don't seem to sit well with the Right that so much of what was done wrong was when their man was in office. So their plan seemed to be from day one to shift the blame on every thing on to Obama.

All those who say liberals are idiots, are correct. All those who say conservatives are stupid, are correct. Those who say Republicans are corrupt are correct, as are those who claim the Democrats are as well. Whatever the claim about whatever issue, ideology, cause, person, group or concept, are always correct. No one is ever wrong.

All ideas are based on some theory or assumption. We used to experiment, discuss and try to DISPROVE such ideas, before accepting them as fact. We are no longer required to do so. Every idea must be accepted as correct immediately. Discussion of the merits or demerits of an idea or concept are no longer required. Now, we only have to defend it, by attacking everyone else.

Now that we know that everyone is correct, no one can be wrong, which leaves us with no recourse for finding common ground. With 300,000,000 million people, all who have some ideas, all of which are correct, and few are in common with anyone else, we have - chaos. For people, with differing views, to come to a consensus - someone is going to have to be wrong, at least a little bit. To compromise means to admit wrongness and that cannot be allowed. Admitting that some idea, or portion thereof, is wrong, is to admit total defeat. Agreeing with someone else, for the sake of "common purpose", is to surrender to a superior idea, making you wrong.

It does not seem to occur to anyone - to change their minds about something - because that would require admitting that they were wrong to begin with. Todays society will not allow anyone to be wrong. Oh, the OTHER person is always wrong, to be sure, but WE are never wrong. Admitting that WE are wrong, about anything - means the other person wins and that cannot be allowed. We never lose, unless it's a war then we ALWAYS lose, but we were correct the whole time.

No we are not deep down at least, idiots or stupid.

We are just average people who have found our little corner of the world. It takes so much of our time & effort for the most part to just get by.

It is hard to see if rocking the boat will really help. So we just try to steady the boat & row around in circles.

I would say that most of us here have our day to day affairs in a some what secure way.

If we can not take a chance & look at what needs to be done.
We all seem to agree that things need to be done. It is just that we don't look at the problems in the same way.

I don't have to worry much about day to day problems.

I also feel that other than we are just getting older we don't really have much to worry about.

After all for as much time as some of us spend here if it was important to shore up our personal life's we would be out doing that.

Bottom line if it were to come right down to it what is bad for any of us would be bad for most of us.

Conversely what would be good for any of us would be good for most of us.

Very true. I think the only reasonable solution is to leave the choice available to those who need it. Meanwhile we can do our best to discourage the irresponsible use of that option in cases of convience. Maybe we should be discussing the best way to do that.

This not much of a problem with in strong healthy families.

So much of what goes on in life coming from the media that weakens families ties.

Does that mean you would include me?

Of course.

My view is that I am looking to just share how we think & feel.

How each of us looks at the life around us.

To look for a sharing of ideas that mean the most to us.

For it is how we look at others & get along with others even with our different views that makes life worth living.

For if we can meet each other daily with kindness & understanding we can put up with most things that make life harder.

Who knows we may even find ways to make problems go away.

Floyd, I envision working things out between the people involved. You steal my cow, I will demand payment. If you don't have the money, we can negotiate what you can give me in exchange for my cow, etc. No need for courts, lawyers, judges, or most laws.

Did you see me take your cow? & if I did do you think I would admit it or even deal with you.

Or if you cow wandered off. Why are you blaming me.

How bout folks building around hog farms that were out in the middle of no where then wanting to shut down said farms due to smell !

Many courts have thrown these lawsuits out due to the hog farms being there first and if they didn't like the smell of hogs then why build next door to them !

That is a case for buyer beware.

Obviously that would happen from time to time. However, if all concerned understood individual sovereignty, they would stay out of other people's business. They would abide by the sovereignty philosophy which would be: you leave MY things alone. That includes my home, my property, my car, my family, my business, my health, my everything. My sovereignty supercedes the state. Your sovereignty supercedes the state. The state exists because man says it does. I exist because my creator says I do. The two are not equal and I am not inferior to that which exists only because man says it exists.

If I feel cheated by anyone, I should have the prerogative of solving that problem, between me and the other sovereign person. WE would solve our problems, the government would have no say in the matter. If I wanted to grow hogs and my neighbor didn't want me to, we would solve the problem, the government wouldn't.

I realize this is not the well thought out explanation of individual sovereignty because it is off the cuff. Later, if anyone needs or wants more real information, I'll have links to smarter people than I am.

I would say the courts are full of cases that sovereign people have not resolved.

There needs to be a set of laws or rules that have to be laid down in resolving these issues. You & I may disagree on this forum. but I have faith in both of us that we would for the most part get along in most face to face situations.

But as to you having hogs I would draw the line before the smell gets to strong.

"And some of the specific methods the NSA uses to spy on US citizens and the occasional offshore "terrorist":

•Call Recorder - The agency can intercept and store for up to a month 100 percent of a foreign country’s telephone calls, which can be sorted and played back.
•Clone Phones - Foreign targets’ cell phones can be surreptitiously swapped for an identical model with built-in listening and data collection devices.
•Fake Shops - Diplomats at the 2009 G-20 summit in London were tricked, with the NSA’s help, into using an Internet cafe that had been rigged to send data to British intelligence.
•Travel Trackers - The NSA has several ways to follow the movements of intelligence targets as they get off planes, drive across borders, or move around a city, including an implant that directs a cell phone SIM card to send geolocation data via text message.
•Special Delivery - Spies intercept computers that foreign targets buy online, fit them with devices that send data to the NSA, and box them back up for normal delivery.
•X-Ray Vision - Radar waves beamed into a room can detect what is being typed on a keyboard or displayed on a computer screen.
•Credit Cards - The agency tapped into the network of Visa and major banking systems to collect troves of transaction data.
•Satellites - The NSA infiltrated German satellite communications used in remote locations such as drilling platforms—and by the country’s diplomats.
•Gamer Spies - Agency employees join World of Warcraft and Second Life communities, hunting for criminal networks and recruiting informants. They’ve also infiltrated Microsoft’s Xbox Live network.
•Cell Towers - Base stations mimicking cell towers siphon location data from targets’ phones. Agents can also intercept mobile calls with a shoe-box-size receiver.
•Submarines - The agency can collect worldwide Internet traffic with a modified nuclear submarine that taps undersea fiber-optic cables—allowing spies to vacuum data from millions of users.
•Secret Selfies - Malware planted in an iPhone can secretly activate its camera and microphone, turning it into a listening device. Malware for Windows mobile phones enables complete remote control of the handset.
•Fake Rocks - Transmitters hidden inside rocks and other objects can receive information from NSA taps implanted in nearby computers even if they’re “air gapped” machines or networks that aren’t hooked up to the Internet—among the hardest of all digital targets.
