If there's one thing everyone should be able to agree on, it's the rights of unborn children. Apparently there are some very strong opinions that prevent some people from agreeing to make abortion illegal. I would really like to hear what those reasons are from the pro-choice advocates here.

Also, do you believe that abortion is murder?

I believe that with all the contraception available, abortion should be extremely rare.

I believe that a heartbeat indicates a living human and to kill that heartbeat is murder, and to do it deliberately is premeditated murder. I believe that "partial birth" abortion is as totally gross and cruel as any heinous murder one can imagine. More so because the baby is totally defenseless, but it can feel the pain of being ripped apart. It takes monsters, people without souls, to commit these murders.

For the sake of getting votes, the people who write our laws have sold their souls and are complicit in the heinous murder of millions of Americans via the abortion on demand, when the simple answer is to teach women how to say "no" and to keep their pants on until they are ready to accept a possible pregnancy. If they cannot do that, they can practice birth control in ways that do not result in cruel murder.

Medically speaking, an fetus gets a heartbeat long before they get lung function(multiple weeks). Why does a heartbeat mean so much? It is not even what we call life. Life is when you get oxygen to your brain. We do not live in the 1950's or 1920's, or 1700's. Why are you guys afraid of science? Does it take away your "freedom" to judge people????

I agree, but I don't think you need to wait for a heart beat to call it life. I can't see how anyone can not call it life at conception. It is a living being at conception even if it does not look human yet. IF it will grow into a human in the end, then it is human in the beginning too.

Late term abortion can't be called anything but murder. It is a baby in every way and looks like a baby too. How can you call it anything but a baby? For a doctor to reach in there and pull pieces off a baby and kill it piece by piece is simply horrendous. I can't think of anything to call it but murder.

If a heartbeat does not denote life, why don't you dispense with yours? After all, you will still be alive. "Life is when you get oxygen to the brain." Oxygen is carried throughout the body by the hemoglobin on red blood cells. (Erythrocytes). They are propelled to the brain via heartbeat, ergo, if the heart is beating, the brain is receiving Oxygen, which, by your own admission is the indicator of life. I am not afraid of science, I appear to be more familiar with it than you.

You can live without a heartbeat. You just need oxygen to the brain. This is how you do heart transplants. You can live without a brain, this is how you become a republican.

Absolutely murder. God says anyone that causes a woman to lose her baby, should be put to death. God states He knew us before we were born. That means God plans for all babies to be born and have a life as well as all have. Anyone taking a baby's life are committing murder, unless it was accidental.

Apparently you don't know that a fetus's heart is told to beat by the mother's brain. I know I had a super premi daughter. She is doing well, but I learned alot about fetuses. I also learned that over half of all conceptions are spontaneously aborted by the body before anyone knows there was a pregnancy. That doesn't mean that mothers or God is the number one killer of babies. It means there was something wrong.

Based on that we should give out conception certificates instead of birth certificates.

That is exactly right. The original zygote is human life at a cellular level. Any other distinction, while understandable, is not accurate.

If the fetal heartbeat stops, the fetus dies.

That isn't an issue at all. A natural uncontrollable abortion can't (or at least shouldn't) be blamed on anyone. I'm only trying to clarify the scientific definition of the beginning of life.
