Hmmm....I would question that the US has the finest medical in the world.
Some of the best medical technology yes but in terms of the medical delivery to it's citizens it is one of the worst in the western world.

Then pray tell why do citizens of other countries come here when they can get here?

Wow! You really do not know your own party is capable of. Besides, Socialist take from the rich, not the poor.

Sorry young buck. The socialist take from everyone who works and gives it to everyone who doesn't work so everyone can be poor. Except for the upper class and the political structure. they have a 4 class society elitist rich working poor and those with nothing living with family or friends, helping out doing what they can. Is that the way you what our country to be?

So are you saying you don't mind being lied too?

You TRUST the IRS with your medical records?

The US has the finest medical in the world and we throw it away for a system that we already knows will end up like the UK's. The system needs tweats but too scrap the whole thing is dumb.

BTW insults make you look childish.

Yeah, that was a childish remark, I did it because you just seemed to be so full of anger for something I had no control over -- it won't happen again.

The IRS will not have anything to do with medical records, just your income. It completely boggles my mind when people get these crazy ideas and just can't let go of them. Believe me, I have a Republican cousin and no matter how many times I can tell him he is wrong, even show him proof he is wrong, he still believes the original lie. Unbelievable, I am just glad I don't have the stuff inside my head like he does.

One of the biggest fear mongers around is Fox Noise, I can go to their channel just about anytime of the day and hear all about how dreadful ObamaCare is. And that is just not fact.

IBM is in charge of setting up the exchanges in each state for ACA and I worked with IBM (not for), for many years and I trust them entirely. Besides, ObamaCare will cause a "tech boom" comparable to the "dotcom" boom during President Bill Clintons term, and that will put many people back to work. The House Republicans know this and that is probably one of the many reasons they want to see OC fail.

ACA has been set up in many states already and it is operating just fine and that includes four GOP states: Arizona, North Dakota, Iowa and New Jersey. I heard the other day that Texas Gov. Rick Perry is getting ready to go on board.

It looks like young Republicans love ObamaCare because they can stay on their parents plan until they are 26. It seems that Republicans stay at home longer that Democrats.

The ObamaCare Provision That Young Republicans Love

Just about everything has problems when it is new, there were problems with Social Security and Medicare. I did some computer programming and you can test, test, test and test and not work all of the "bugs" out. The defining moment is when it goes public.

I know Nancy Pelosi said something about not knowing everything in ObamaCare until it is implemented, and that was enough for the right to call it a train wreck. Well, she was not entirely wrong, the users will be using a lot of different variables and that will be the true test.

Not usually for medical. You can get cheaper and in some cases better quality care in places like Bali or Thailand. Charlie Rose elected to have his heart surgery in France. It is unfortunate that almost every institution in this country
from the Government, Media, Military, Churches, are prone to peddle this propaganda that everything in America is the greatest, the best, the biggest,
the grandest, yada yada yada. Unfortunately some of this stuff just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. The idea too that America is the cradle of personal freedom and democracy too is fallacious (but that is an arguement for another forum.)

IRS has already stolen 60 million medical records in CA and that case is now in court.

Many Americans go off shore for price but the numbers in vs the numbers out are likely 8 to 1. Woman next door went to have a skin graf when she came back it's three colors. She save $4000 to have it done wrong.

You missed my point but that's ok (sigh) Something like 80,000 people a year die of iatrogenic causes in the US. (Doctor or hospital caused fatality) So much for the 'best".

Nope 180,000 from mistakes. Roughly 16,500 hospitals in the US. Our advantage is time as they die waiting in the UK.

It's not Obummer care. Are you dense? or just stupid. It's the law, upheld by the Supreme Court.

Wacko

It IS obummercare. It IS stupid. It may be the law, but it's unconstitutional, no matter what the supreme court said. When he's impeached, it will go away.

Cheaper yes, better, that would be an emphatic NO!

Just in the north east (New England) alone, has the best hospitals in the whole world. With your reasoning, explain why it is that med. students from around the world choose this place out of the choices available, to be educated in, and practice medicine?.... I'll answer for you, because it's the best. As in second to none.

But all that can and most assuredly will change, if you all believe the likes of "eden" and co. The ACA will be the straw that breaks this country's back, and brings us to third world status. May God help us.

Without even checking your numbers, I'll put up those against any other country, I'm sure ones chances of getting better in this country far out weigh all the others.

I am not a "scandal slayer" and I do not believe one word of this. There are so many "it just cannot happen" that I do not know where to begin. One of the reasons is that it says 60 million medical records and when OC is implemented there will be 30 million in the U.S., not just in CA. And from what I remember there are only 7 million ACA users in CA. So, where did the 60 million come from?

Another reason is that the IRS isn't talking -- just do not believe that one either. I guess it takes a lot to drag me into scandals -- I do too much critical thinking.

I had not heard of this before so I searched for more info, from what I read it was with another insurance agency in CA, not with ACA. Then again, in one article the Obama administration said that they do not give open medical records to the IRS, they just need your income.

There are so many rumors, fear mongers and scandals about OC and the IRS that they probably will never go away until the ACA has been fully implemented.

I have a niece who lives in LA, I am going to call her too find out if she knows anything about this one.

The other thing that is really strange about this is it says 60 million medical records from CA and there are only 38 million people living in CA. So, where did the additional 22 million medical records come from?

If you all want the truth about the so called "Obamacare" law, do some research. It was supposedly written by a "friend" of Max Baucus and former VP of WellPoint Inc., named Liz Fowler, but in truth it was written by the insurance industry, most notably WellPoint Inc., an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and the nations largest insurer. The entire insurance industry was in some way supportive of this massive extraction of money from the pockets of the working class, and that money's deposit into the pockets of the insurance industry and their biggest investors.

This law was authored to do two things. First, to force thousands of working people to purchase a product, health insurance, which they would not have purchased without government forcing them. Second, it allows government to funnel millions of tax dollars, in the form of insurance subsidies for the non-working, into the pockets of the insurance industry, and thereby, the pockets of insurance company VPs and the investors in insurance companies.

Democrats led the passage of this massive taxpayer financed give away to the insurance industry, so I wonder if you can guess which party, and which presidential candidate, the insurance companies and their biggest investors have been supporting with their political contributions, for the past seven, or so years?

Democrats couldn't care less about the poor uninsured, except that by giving them free health insurance on the taxpayers dollars, they also line the pockets of some of their biggest political contributors, keep the money flowing to the DNC, and to democrats, that's politics. The icing on the democrat's cake is the continued votes of the ignorant and lazy people who get the free, taxpayer financed, insurance.

I think their basic motive is to gather all the private information we would not ordinarily give out to the govt. Once they have that, they own us, and can run every aspect of our daily lives. They can (and will) enter our homes to inspect our pantries. The will control how much health care we get. They will tell us how many children we can have, and will probably tell us all boys will be named barak, and all girls michelle. I would not put it past them!

There is such a thing as "informed opinion" and then there is the common
variety of opinion that we all have. Are you a medical person with personal experience plus substantiated data to back your assertion? I was a paramedic.
Wife was a GP. Want to hear more? Don't make the mistake of thinking I support ACA in it's current form but constantly wanking about it with no suggestion for improvement or a viable replacement is just blowing smoke.
