The consequences in established self-defense is innocence. The consequence for gossiping and slandering and judging "these young women, no husband, but collecting aid for each child, food stamps" not out of concern for their well-being or morality but only because "We are paying for that out of our taxes" is utterly appalling. Yet that is what being Conservative and Republican is all about: money, not people.
