From the 1750's to the 1810's, the tobacco enema was used to infuse tobacco smoke into a patients rectum for various medical purposes, including drowning victims. A rectal tube inserted into the anus was connected to a fumigator and bellows that forced the smoke towards the rectum. Doubts about the credibility of tobacco enemas led to the popular phrase " blowing smoke up your a--. It has been reintroduced by the Obama administration as an integral part of the Affordable Health Care Program.

Not always,,,, I try to preach this,,,and get a lot of h**e mail,,, I have read a lot of what some elders wrote, but was never published, cause it was not a marketable book...but the reality, is the Indians existence was survival, if you were too old to provide you were a d**g on society, and unless there was an abundance, which there seldom was, you would have to leave, and they did, they would go off and die,,, women without husbands or widowers too old to remarry were just left to die. Though not always of course, there were "elders" in tribes, but that life was damned hard,, people didn't live long enough in general, to become feeble,, the very life k**led them. 50 something was OLD for Indians,,,, some did better,, some not so much.

People are people, there really have been few societies that were better than others, it is a romantic myth, that we injuns were above human traits of greed, anger, being mean, etc etc etc...

Of the Times report, its author not only looks like the flannel-suited Obama worshipper, but his eight-thousand words read like they might have been dictated to him by 'the epicene ObamaCare icon itself.' And, ultimately, the worst thing about the piece is that it will become gospel for the misinformed and for the lazy people who report to the misinformed:
