I thought I'd post a few of my thoughts, since my last post. Back then, I said I wouldn't post anything new because I said all that I had to say. This post isn't about good honest conservative Americans. One of my political heroes, FDR one noted that 90% of the time, conservative government is fine. While I wouldn't go that far, I sincerely believe that the conservative ideology has some good ideas. The most important of these is financial integrity. Unfortunately, the Donald doesn't think so, as his trillion dollar donation to the super wealthy proves.
I am back to say, I told you so. Donald Trump is easily the worst President of the United States, in our glorious history. He has committed many impeachable offensives. The most easily recognized is the whistleblower scandal. The facts are the facts. Trump tried to shake down the elected leader of a friendly country, the Ukraine by holding up much needed military aid to fight Russian aggression. He asked for a favor. Dig up some dirt on my political rival and/or his son Joe Biden. This was a quid pro quo, make no mistake about it. He admitted to the " request ". Unfortunately, many in his base still supports him in spite of all the evidence against him. I believe that this will change as the impeachment inquiry goes on. His tweet about bloodshed by his base if he is impeached is just one more outrageous, UnAmerican, and shameful incident proving that he is unfit to be President. If Trump was a liberal/ progressive Democrat, I would feel exactly the same.

I appreciate your response. I believe you do welcome different points of view. After all, this is why we are on this site, yes? True, not everyone will agree and it would be quite boring if they did. I will admit I can be very rude to some people. It always comes after someone draws first blood by insulting me or someone else unnecessarily. Additionally, I will give very snarky comments when I hear some of the i***tic things people say. I don't mean opinion since everyone is entitled to their own. I'm talking about misrepresenting facts, or, stating opinions that are based on bald-faced lies. If you want to push-back when someone is rude to you first, be my guest. What you call rudeness is quite often a snarky remark made in response to an incredulous statement. Saying there are more a$$holes than there are RINOs in the Republican party is what I would consider not rude but a bald-faced lie. Do you have some facts with which to back up that statement? There are independents and conservatives, in every political party, so to say that "you guys claim Democrats are socialists or c*******ts" is not only misguided but it is contradictory. A more accurate assessment might be to say "you guys claim socialists and c*******ts are Democrats." However, I'm not sure I understand who you are referring to as "you guys." Perhaps it is the a$$holes you were referring to earlier.

If you really think Trump owns the republican party then you just aren't paying much attention to what is happening. I know it falls on deaf ears because "you guys (your term, not mine)" can't accept the t***h even after it has to be said over and over. Even the liberal media incessantly points out every chink in the republican armor where Trump is lambasted by the party he belongs to. The party has many high-profile individuals who detest Trump. They never wanted him and they want him out. They work quietly behind the scenes to achieve that goal. You would have to be blind, oblivious, or brain-washed by the left to not see it. Everyone who doesn't want Trump will have their chance to do so in 2020.

I don't like a lot of what Trump says and I have made that apparent in many of my postings on OPP. I also did not v**e for Trump. But like Obama, he is the duly elected Person, chosen legitimately, to be President and I respect the office, the same as I did when Obama was President. Trump is no less legitimate than Obama, despite Obama's phony birther issue which, incidentally, was started by Hillary's campaign during the 2008 Democratic primary races. There may be other things that are questionable about Obama's past but this is neither the time nor place and those issues have been discussed on OPP ad infinitum. No reason to beat a dead horse. And there are many things about Trump's past that bring into question his past behavior which is relevant because he currently is President. I also believe he is a changed person who puts America ahead of all other's interests. I believe wh**ever his values were in the past are not necessarily the same values that guide him today as President. He is first and foremost for America and Americans. The Constitution, and the oath he took to uphold it, I believe he takes seriously with all his heart. He cares about all Americans, despite the rhetoric from the left-wing that tries to paint a less flattering picture. He is not a r****t, anti-semitic, misogynistic, money-grubbing, power-hungry, autocratic, despot, ruler. He has no need to become one nor does he want to. Anyone with a complete and thorough understanding of the Constitution would see that he performs his duties and responsibilities in accordance with those enumerated in the Constitution. Yet, not everything is always so black or white. Of course, I don't expect you to take my word for it. But this position has been laid out in detail many many times in other threads posted on OPP. It has been debated forward, backward, over, under, sideways, and down, till the cows come home. The t***h is right there for everyone to see. Interpretation is another matter. In MY opinion, too many people, particularly on the left, have closed their mind before considering all the evidence. Sometimes none are so blind as those who can see. The media are some of the most f**grant at perpetuating falsehoods and innuendo.

So, Jedi, there is "rude" and then there is "Rude!" It doesn't matter what I think about Trump or whether he is rude or not. This isn't about him. This is about how you interact with others on OPP. Do you see the difference?

Regarding Rose, she can fight her own battles and I am not sticking up for her. I was merely pointing out to you that I thought you had crossed a line that was unwarranted. I too have had some less than cordial words with Rose but not to the point of out-and-out insult. However, my response to you about being rude was because of what you said to debeda. (I'd rather not repeat the words but if you don't remember I will post them for you here.) You followed that comment with "What kind of lies do you tell your children to support Trump?" Seriously? What kind of answer were you expecting? Maybe the same kind of lies you tell people to make them h**e Trump?

No one is perfect. I know I am not. But that shouldn't stop us from trying to be better. I will leave you with this thought that I read in a fortune cookie the other day, and which I think is actually rather profound.

Coming from you, that is probably the most intelligent expression you can muster. Is nothing that is wrong with the running of this country important to you except trying to bring Trump down? Confabulation is when a person makes up stories to fill in memory gaps, but instead of lying they really believe their made up stories. I kept trying to think of a term that describes the behavior of Liberals, Democrats, and other ill persons, who are constantly bringing forth stories of scandals against President Trump, Brett Kavanaugh, and other fine upstanding Americans.

We have entered an era where there is blatant disregard for the needs of the American people, their rights, their freedoms, the constitution and the rule of law. The Democrats have become “contrarians” who make decisions and pass immoral legislation in spite of the fact that it goes against prevailing wisdom. The Democrat Party house members were elected to seek t***h, justice, respect, concern, civility, law and order, and promote legislation for public benefit and uphold the Constitution. Instead they waste their time using taxpayer money embarking on a campaign of lies and deceit, false accusations, disrespect, self-indulgence, greed, arrogance, rudeness, hatred for anyone who doesn’t share their view.

They launch a counter assault on those who attack them on their behavior, their incivility, their deceit, their misuse and abuse of the power of their office. When one of their members commits an infraction or serious offense, rather than calling that person out, they circle the wagons to protect him. Although our politicians have established an ethics committee, it is nothing more than a paper tiger with no teeth that ignores the crimes and often looks the other way. There is no accountability because our criminal justice system has failed to do its job and a body of senators who refuse to use the power of censure,suspension or dismissal because they themselves have committed to criminal activities or similar bad behavior.

The Democrats have obtained absolute control over the MSM, who are told what, when and how to report the news. The media defends the bad behavior and actions of the Democrats and construct a false narrative to launch an attack on their opposition and do so to deflect from crimes the Democrats themselves have been accused of, in an effort to diminish public exposure. They lie, deceive and form a large group of colleagues, lawyers, supporters to deflect or ignore the charges. They have the power of “organized deception” working for their cause and use the corrupt MSM deliver it to a gullible public.

They have come to realize that they do not have to pay for their crimes. The rewards are great, the risk of punishment virtually non-existent.. They know that we the v**er are virtually powerless to control their behavior and that many v**ers have short memories when recalling those Democrats who have willfully broken the law or shamed themselves by their bad behavior.

America simply has to watch and wait for the next e******n in the hopes enough v**ers who care about this country will show up at the polls and cast their v**es to get them removed. These bad seeds, for some unknown reason, keep coming back into office after the e******n with smirks on their faces, pleased they have once again gained the power of elected office so they can go back to work, doing what they have always done, satisfying their own needs, enriching themselves, and discrediting and destroying anyone or any thing that stands in their way. Our Democrat leadership is ugly, mean-spirited power mongers filled with greed and hatred!

If you all didnt know, Adam Schiff has stated that If he doesn't get what he wants he will defund the Intel agencies until he is satisfied which will never be enough. If Trump is hiding something, how the hell would you know that. You are assuming he has something to hide, but just for the sake of conversation, what do you imagine that would be?

Thing is, you may not be a happy camper when "everything comes out". The DOJ investigations are gathering a lot of steam. Barr and Durham are digging deep. Durham is doing a lot of "behind the scenes" investigating that is not being leaked to the media. According to the lead GOP investigator in congress, Durham is working closely with Inspector General Michael Horowitz and their investigations are bearing fruit.

Durham's record is nothing to thumb your nose at. He prosecuted the Boston Mob, led investigations into a former Connecticut governor, and investigated the Central Intelligence Agency's enhanced interrogation techniques. He is non-partisan and he does not tolerate leaks.

Barr and Durham are the pros, dude.
