I had some hopes that this site was what it claimed to be. I thought it might be a site of discussion and debate over political views which, granted, can be quite contentious.

Sadly it seems to be the same old thing with lots of ranting, belittling, name-calling, boasting, etc. There is nothing wrong with these things being include in the arguments, rants, debates and blasts since we are imperfect humans after all.

Still its like being part of Bill O'Reilly's i***t talk show. His program was always the same, he would accept a call being already clued that the caller was in opposition to Bill's remarks. Bill would take the call and let the caller say just a word or two, never enough to allow the caller to articulate his protest, and then Bill would lay into him, berating and belittling him loudly and obnoxiously allowing the caller no room to talk. If it was obvious the caller would not give up, Bill would just continue foul-mouthing him until he slammed the phone down. There was never any discussion allowed on Bill's show unless it was with gushing and adoring fans.

Of course it isn't that way here because each side does have the opportunity to state their view, but the attitude is about the same. I noticed years ago that the conservative almost never offer up points to discuss, reasonable options or anything else of real substance. What they do is generally the same no matter who you talk to and is actually so generic you feel like you are talking to someone who is brain-washed, or some kind of drone or parrot. It's all catch-phrases, jingles, repeated lies or false facts, denials to facts, or demands for proof of items already known to be true. Interestingly it is almost the same as trying to talk to Atheists and f**e Christians.

On the other had we have the "scholars" that want to reference everything to some book written by Hitler, Stalin, Plato or whomever. I have no real problem with this, but t***hfully I'm just not into placing labels onto everything. For instance I really don't care if some historical figure agreed, or disagreed, with me if I think that ALL American Citizens should have basic Healthcare or that we are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian values with the ideology of the freedom of religion and that the separation of church and state doesn't prevent the state from displaying reminders of our Judeo-Christian origins. Of course I am biased in that I think ALL so-called Atheists are liars since there can be no logical deduction that leads to the absolute statement "God does not exist". In t***h you would have to be God to make this assertion which of course would be inane. The closest any man can be is Agnostic, pure and simple, anything else is just an emotional claim and useless. And since we have the freedom of religion the so-called Atheist can exercise his faith and practice his religion of denial to his hearts content. Whether the 10 commandments in City Hall bothers him or not is his problem, deal with it.

WOW! I went way off course! I could fix it, but I'm not going to. My original post was just to ask all those who just want to praise their lord Trump and exhort all of his wonderful (believe me he's only wonderful to you conservatives, I avoided added all the adjectives in an effort to be nice) achievements to just go to someone else's post.

Now if you really want to discuss the issue's, hopefully with an open mind and some common sense, then let's do it.

"What's good for the goose is good for the gander"

Donald "the Dumbass" Trump once insisted that Obama produce a birth certificate to prove his claim of citizenship. I think we should demand "proof" from Trump of all of his unsupported assertions.

Where is his proof that he attended any college, let alone the "good" ones? Any ass can t***hfully claim they went to a college just by visiting one, but Trump claims that going shows he's really smart. OK, then where is his report card? Where is his acceptance papers, his schedule or his diploma?

We all know Trump is barely literate and that he even boasts of never buying a text book. I hardly think his stupidity is something to boast about, and knowing Trump almost everything he says is a lie anyway, so who knows, but it is probably likely Trump never finished school even if he started. So if he cannot provide proof, it must be because he never went, or dropped out.

As to his claims of "genius", I'm still laughing! I am not sure what they do now, but I'm about 10-20 years younger than Trump and a NY resident. IQ tests were standardly taken by all students periodically back then. So let him provide proof of his so-called "genius". I guarantee there is a record of his IQ and SAT scores somewhere unless he was actually a high school drop out. Which is just as likely as not considering how lazy he is and that he was a privileged ass. My guess is that he has an IQ around 60-70 if he's lucky. Hell he wanted to hold a meeting with the President of the Virgin Islands, and was surprised that Puerto Rica was an island!

The pressure should be put on Trump and all of the corrupt GOP assholes in Congress to undergo a mental evaluation. We all know he's mentally challenged, but we have a right to know if he's mentally sound or not.

As to Donald Dumbass's claim to being a business genius, well let him prove it! Make him release his tax records. If he is so proud of his business dealings, and if his claim that he always does things the right way, what's the problem?? Of course, if he's just lying again.....

Personally the history available to us now says he's a business failure, a deadbeat, a thief, a fraud and most likely guilty of money laundering and worse. Just the kind of guy the republican scum would want for a leader/patsy.

As I said he was an asshole pushing Obama for years for proof, now the tables should be turned, Trump can prove his claims or expect that we ALL know he's a lying fraud.

You R****M is showing again, as well as your ignorance. The market's highs are not reflective of anything except that the rich and the companies know they can make more money. Why wouldn't they? We have an i***t that is removing as many reg's as he can, and just gave them a massive tax break. The market's gains however are not a reflection of how the country is doing and is not of any real benefit to most Americans,

The Democratic Party is doing fine, thanks for your concern. The GOP however is now totally corrupt and will pay for all the bulls**t they are pulling now. If you don't feel shame for being a part of it then you ain't worth knowing. You're part of a corrupt, dishonest, t*****rous, immoral, anti-American, greedy and hell-bound bunch of scum so be proud, boast and remember all your bragging as it all falls in around you.

Considering the republican reputation I have no doubt everything you just claimed is probably lies and misinformation anyway. After all that's all you guys seem to do now; lie, falsely accuse, make up false assertions, boast of achievements never gained or not worth noting, and protecting your asshole leader's ass from himself. I can't wait to see him jailed for treason, money laundering, interfering with the law and theft. Of course if he were assassinated I'd be just as happy and throw a party. I'd even help collect for the assassin's defense fund.

Sorry dude but I didn't bother to read your rant thoroughly as it quickly became obvious that you are speaking from a biased and less than t***hful position. As you say, the Church is indeed the "Bride of Christ", but your definition of the church is not actually correct. It is no shame that you, like many other republicans, are so confused but the Bride of Christ is the total of ALL true Christians, not the accumulation of all the people that attend mass as you seem to believe.

When Jesus comes to collect his Bride there will be many stunned people left wondering why they were left behind, ESPECIALLY those that attended church every day. Just because you attend church and call yourself a Christian doesn't mean you're a Christian. You seem to understand that there is a difference when you sited people that call themselves Christians living lives of self indulgence. Oddly we see things totally differently as I see any so-called Christian affiliating with the right as suspect, especially considering that the republic party's agenda is in complete opposition to the Word of God. (for starters just check Malachi 3, it is a prophecy concerning Jesus)

Please remember that the original Church was basically a c*******tic, or socialist, organization in which everyone threw their processions in and they distributed according to need. Jesus would never have become a republican, he despised those types of people, just read the Gospels. Jesus said that in the end many would come to Him saying; "Lord. Lord. look at all we have done in your name!". He also said His reply would be; "Depart from me I know you not!". God said that we should approach our salvation with fear and trembling, and I think all the f**e christian evangelists enabling the horrible white r****t greedy agenda should take that warning very seriously.

You can be a Catholic, a Baptist or of any other denomination and not be truly Christian but so many are beguiled or just too lazy to research a little. My advice is to ensure the doctrine you are being taught is within the Bible's teachings, beware those that twist the Word, are gaining obvious personal wealth or are just charismatic f**es. God warned that even the elect will be fooled. By the way Trump is not a Christian (period), to aver otherwise would be lying.

A favorite Scripture of mine is Psalm 90:12 which states, “Teach us to number our days that we might gain a heart of wisdom.” As world events unfold and division in America increases, Christians need discernment today more than ever. With all that’s happening around us, it is so easy to want to avoid reality or become comfortable and complacent, but we must not.

At the end of each calendar year, it is reasonable and wise to look back and acknowledge God’s faithfulness, evaluate where we are as individuals and as a church, and learn from any mistakes. It is also imperative we have a sense of urgency and recognize the spiritually desperate condition of so many around us. One priority should be to consider how we can be more effective in advancing the kingdom of God by sharing the gospel and living out our faith as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

We don’t need to be news junkies, but we should be informed and knowledgeable so we can watch, pray, and be ready for wh**ever the Lord will bring in 2018. Here are some key areas to consider:

Keep your eyes on Israel
After decades of little change in the “peace process” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, President Trump decided to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. Of course, the UN Security Council rejected this resolution, and the U.S. (thank you, Nikki Haley) took a bold stand for Israel and against the United Nations. This is yet another sign we are living in the most prophetic times in history, and just as predicted a coalition of nations is ready to attack Israel.

Around this same time, Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed Israel would follow the United States in withdrawing from UNESCO. Along with signs including hearts growing cold, earthquakes, famines, wars and rumors of wars, 2018 will see increased opposition to Israel and America. Attacks will come from within and from without. Intensifying spiritual warfare is a given and for students of the Bible, times are exciting indeed.

Religious Freedom teetering on the brink
The Supreme Court case of Colorado baker, Jack Phillips will be a catalyst for future court decisions as well as the direction of free speech in America. Many on the extreme Left would make it illegal to practice Christianity if they could, but that is essentially what is happening with nondiscrimination laws and “inclusive” policies giving special rights to protected classes (L***Q). And when Christians refuse to play the game and celebrate what is considered sin, activists and radicals often bully, intimidate, or sue them into silent compliance.

In one breaking story, the Oregon Court of Appeals decided last Thursday in favor of activists that sued Christian owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa for not baking a cake for their gay wedding ceremony. Aaron and Melissa Klein are now forced to pay the lesbian couple $135,000 for alleged “emotional distress.” Justice was not found here.

Sex outside of marriage the new norm?
Seeing the increase of a******n, cohabitation, divorce, homosexuality, the g****r identity debate, and sex trafficking, it’s no wonder some of us believe we are a nation in crisis. Nearly 70 percent of Americans now say it’s acceptable to live with their partner before getting married. In addition, only about half of professing evangelical Christians thinks a******n and sex outside of traditional marriage are sins. This should greatly alarm us. Hollywood has played a leading role in the promotion of promiscuity, sexual deviance and the normalization of homosexuality; government schools have co-starred, but we often forget so-called “higher education.”

Commenting on Young America’s Foundation survey of new courses offered at 50 top colleges in America, author Frank Turek said they “promote a dogmatic secularism with a kind of religious fervor intent on urging students to abandon reality and live in their own sexual fantasy world.” He concludes the article by saying “professors who teach these courses may have the best of intentions. They may think that what they are doing is right and true (all the while declaring t***h and g****r are relative). But you don’t have to support their dogmatic delusions.”

The Critical Fight For Life
There was some good news in 2017. Surveys indicate today’s youth are more pro-life than the previous generation. A******n clinic closures far outpaced newly opened a******n facilities, and forty-nine a******n facilities — 35 surgical and 14 medication only clinics — closed or halted a******n services. The common sense “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” passed in the House 237-189, and Trump promised to sign the bill into law. We are told the Senate will v**e on the bill that bans a******n at the point that science increasingly shows that unborn children feel pain.

America is just one of only 7 (out of 198) nations that allow elective a******ns after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

President Trump did sign a bill allowing states to withhold money from Planned Parenthood, and the DOJ recently launched a federal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s practices and the sale of fetal tissue. But perhaps one of the most interesting pro-life moves the president made was a three-word change to an obscure HHS document that defines life as “beginning at conception.” According to Al Perotta, the Trump administration added that phrase and:

HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception.” If the U.S. government says life begins at conception and its job is “serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life” then it has a duty to protect the unborn by any legal means necessary.

The American (Laodicean) Church will keep conforming to culture
New research not only indicates liberalism has infected Christianity, but more people now prefer to consider themselves, “spiritual but not religious.” Abandoning the institutional, traditional church, some claim they love Jesus but not the church. Since the church is the bride of Christ, is it biblical to love one and not the other? Surveys also show more professing Christians in the U.S. accept moral relativism while pursuing comfort and self-fulfillment.

Just as disturbing, there is a segment of Americans who consider their faith important and attend church regularly, but do not hold to biblical perspectives such as the inerrancy of Scripture and essentials of the faith. Abandoning t***h, they claim to be “inclusive and welcoming.” Because of this hypocrisy, the Christian worldview has been distorted and is confusing to a watching world.

Christians will continue to be h**ed and discriminated against
We cannot and should not compare the treatment of American believers with persecuted Christians in restricted nations around the world, but things are intensifying. Bullying and discrimination are wrong no matter who is involved, but often overlooked is the blatant intolerance toward Christians by the very people touting inclusion, diversity, and “tolerance.” Public opinion has shifted revealing an acceptance of this double standard. Jesus told His followers that since the world h**ed Him they will h**e us as well (John 15:18).

While Christians recently celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, atheists and scrooges took their r*******n up a notch this year attacking nativity scenes and putting up billboards. Books have been written with examples, but I’ll mention one. The liberal Washington Post came out with an article at Christmas suggesting Jesus didn’t really exist because the evidence doesn’t add up – what evidence could he possibly be looking at? The Post didn’t even bother to fact check nor did they provide any new research – so – why do you think they happened to publish the anti-Christian piece on Christmas?

Media Malpractice: epidemic and rampant
All through 2017, the liberal media consistently and irresponsibly parroted negative news angles on President Trump, the GOP tax cuts, the economy, borders and immigration, national defense, t*********r rights, etc. The average for the year was 91 percent negative coverage of Trump. We’ve never seen anything like this; liberals are not even trying to hide their allegiance to the Democrat Party any longer. I mean, there’s something wrong when they do not even mention the unemployment rate at a 17-year low (4.1 percent) at a time Americans need some good news.

That same media ignored most positive economic news including job growth of more than 1.9 million jobs in 2017, the Dow rising 5,000 points in a year for first time in history, unemployment for African Americans dropping to a 17-year low, and Christians freely celebrated Christmas in parts of Iraq and Syria formerly under ISIS control. But all this generally isn’t good news to the mainstream media when we have a Republican president.

Lawlessness and worldliness will increase even more
Character, integrity, and morality took a hit in 2017 as sexual assaults, misconduct and scandals rocked the headlines. Billionaire George Soros shifted $18 billion from his hedge fund to his network of godless liberal foundations. Media silence. Ready to ramp up the chaos and division, “the resistance” increased via professional protests with A****a, Black L***s M****r, universities prohibiting conservatives to speak on campuses, and even pro athletes protesting (Trump) the National Anthem.

Finally, our obsession with technology is in danger of becoming an addiction. Today’s kids know more about social media, gaming, entertainment, and technology than they do the Bible, the Constitution, and American history. But they sure can take great selfies! These are tomorrow’s leaders of our nation. Sadly, many adults are not far behind. It is true that technology can be used for good purposes, but it is often used for meaningless, mindless entertainment. We must not conform to the world’s ways (Romans 12:2).

Overall, it was a faith-testing year for many of us. Good will continue being called evil and t***h will continue to be attacked and redefined. If America stays on course down this destructive road where there is no longer objective t***h or fixed standards of morality, we’re in big trouble.

But thank God He always causes us to triumph in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)! Christians have an eternal, secure hope which anchors our soul (Hebrews 6:19), and a true peace found only in Jesus Christ. We serve a Mighty God, and we can be confident that no matter what happens, we can trust God will be faithful to the promises in His word.

T***hfully I don't have a clue about Marxism ot most of the labeled philosophies so I guess only time will tell there.

I see progressives as those that are interested in solving the challenges we face so that we can move into the future with less problems.

I suppose that the difference between the right and left is really quite simple, at least to me.

The right wants to go back to the 20's and 30's where everything was viewed according to the individual's concerns. The rich had no boundaries, there was opportunity everywhere and the individual sank or swam usually on their own. Sadly human suffering far exceeded the successes. Of course the end product was the Great Depression and the realization that part of the governments responsibility was to provide for its citizens (all of them). For purely selfish reasons the republicans want to return to the past, the suffering of others isn't their concern. Hilarious since so many so-called evangelicals are in the republican party supporting these views which are in direct opposition to God's word.

The left on the other hand seems to care not for the individual as much as for the collective. That is not to say that they don't support the individual's rights because, hilariously they seem to be more adamant in protecting individual rights than the right is. But the left seeks to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to be the best that they can be. They want a protection net for all citizens to at least provide life's basic needs. This is socialism I guess, but we will not be ready for the future if we do not start mixing the best that democracy, socialism and capitalism can contribute.

In addition if history has proved anything it has proved that we cannot trust human beings to do what is right when they are subjected to the temptation of greed, laziness or power. So I believe in regulation, and that generally the more inconvenient the regulation is the more it was probably needed. Only a greedy fool would want to remove most of our regulations to support the greedy. We need to always place clean air and water, public safety and health, responsible manufacturing, controlled waste, animal welfare, etc as national priorities. The last thing we need to allow is fir us to become a huge Easter Island.

Hope I answered your question more fully.

As usual almost all of the republican responses are mindless babbling and false accusations, they truly belong in Trump's shadow.

For what its worth, your assertion is correct. When McConnell played r****t games for the Supreme Court se******n and intensified the situation by removing the traditional 60 v**e requirement he destroyed the rule of law in America because the law is now decided along partisan lines. It was a stupid and corrupt move with consequences that will echo through the rest of our history, such as we will have anyway.

It leaves a very serious question for all of us as we face the future, who can trust the law now?

Golly gee! You only believe in media that supports your views and then ask about somebody else's honesty?

Gee, it must be so hard too remain diligent and ignore world events until you find your favorite biased news media. If you start out lying to yourself, why bother wondering why no one agrees with you? I find far more t***h from the left than I do from the right, but the left isn't trying to validate r****m, h**e, corruption and a lying leader like the right is. It would be nice to believe that there are some who never lie, but while it is theoretically possible I wouldn't suggest holding your breath,

But the one single t***h in today's environment is that there are far more lies coming from the right than the left. You need an update? The right is currently totally corrupted today, they are nothing like who they were 20-30 years ago when I may have v**ed for a few.

TRUMP, ask a harder question.

It is really foolish to try to validate someone because "others did it too". Try to grow up, will you? We are no longer living in the past, we are trying to survive the present an Trump simply cannot just tell the t***h. But the real problem isn't him, its all the i***ts that keep buying his lies.

In contrast all those you just quoted were challenged then and there when it turned out they were wrong or lied. So why hasn't this been so with Trump and his nearly 2000 lies. Are his followers that corrupted? stupid? brainwashed? h**eful? deluded? Really, what gives?
