I live in a bright red town in a bright red county. I like people and people like me. I am a contractor and I never advertise. People love my work and lumber yards make a lot of money off of me. I expect the highest moral standards--honesty and Honor from elected officials of which I am one. I do not have any control over those around me nor should I. I can only conduct myself with decency and try very hard to raise my children to become Honest- caring and Honorable adults.

I have to agree on that . It is however unforgivable to a lot of people the comments trump makes or the policys he enacts.. While some cheer him on others cringe from embarrassment or seethe from anger. This division is in itself very damaging to America. When the KKK endorses a president something is wrong.

I recite the pledge at my monthly board meeting and my kids recite the pledge in their schools. We are fine here. Just a note--You do not have to be a Republican to be a patriot.

I commercial fished for a time here and at the time half the fleet were meth heads. One boat I was on was so bad that the skipper would be asleep at the wheel when we were on the back deck and we constantly had to run to the wheel house to avoid collisions. The money is big --real big but I will not go to sea again.

No problem . I am busy with life these days. Anthony is in drivers education so every morning before I go to work he drives me to his class. Ella is in swimming lessons so every chance I get I go watch her. My work load is huge--I am booked till the rains come this winter. I never advertise so I know that is not the problem. The Coasties are recruiting Anthony and I am once a week taking him and his 4 wheeler to the dunes to ride with a group of them then going to work and going back to get him. The Coast Guard is going to be his career so I encourage him. The kids are growing fast-- They sure go thru clothes and shoes--Their smaller friends and cousins are the best dressed kids in town lol. Time for me to get a move on I'm Halfway through a job and there is a big line behind me.

I do not listen to or let propaganda get to me. The pissing match that ensues when the arguments begin are insanity nothing more. You want to be a radical fine--do not expect me to be.

I consider myself fortunate for not having to put up with the piss test and I do not require the workers to do the same. It is unnecessary with the rednecks I hire. There is a major plywood mill here called Roseburg forest products. They have a billboard outside of town advertising help wanted. They will pay a worker a bonus of $100 if they bring in a guy that can pass a piss test and give another $300 bonus if the same guy passes a piss test 3 months later. They can't keep employees for long and nobody wants to work for them because of the piss test. Pretty screwed up that a county full of White boys can't get a good job or keep one. Logging and forest crews are going Mexican because they can pass the piss test.
