The reaction is now predictable: Argue for treating undocumented immigrants humanely on American soil and you’ll find yourself accused of believing in “open borders.” As if it’s a binary, either/or position. You either believe in building Trump’s “Great Wall.” You believe in separating children from their parents at the U.S. border. You believe in removing undocumented immigrants from the country who have lived here for decades. Or you believe in “open borders.” It’s a blunt rhetorical trick. It’s crass. But it works. So it’s employed by everyone from the current president down to the many supporters and trolls who carry his water on social media.

This is the t***h. I would like to know why equitable treatment of immigrants is considered a bad thing and an open border policy. Is it American the way immigrants in detention facilities are being treated? Is the final solution going to happen here?

Immigrants come to a country legally and with the intentions of working hard and obeying the law...

They should not be conflated with refugees or i*****l a***ns... It is demeaning to immigrants to do so...

I know of no cases where immigrants have been poorly treated at the border... Do you?

In my opinion, those who don't come here legally are criminal aliens. Not immigrants. Immigrants go through the proper channels, and follow the law.

Not that I have personally witnessed.
However it is all over the news that Immigrants are being kept in squalid conditions. There are people saying this is not true and that all the news about it and pictures are from the Obama and Clinton administrations. Some one is a liar and a gaslighter.

Front door? They are storming the border. The front door is through embassies, and legal means.

Let's push to change the asylum laws if you're so worried about these folks that you don't have to deal with. My state has been invaded, and I'm s**k of it! We all are!
Recently, my son kicked a roofing crew off his property because not a one spoke English, or could produce an ID. All wetbacks.
