Am hoping Republicans stay out if it.

Do you fear they could do no better and the blame would shift to them?

Well, for starters, we wouldn't allow every Tom, Dick and Harry through the border bringing disease, harmful drugs like opioids into our country, human trafficking, and a laundry list of other problems. There are approx. 58,000 in LA alone ~ unheard of and something is not working. The Democratic mayor is up against a recall. San Francisco which used to be the most beautiful city where I lived in the 70's has turned into a joke. Everyone I know that lived there, has left. When you have big numbers like that something you're doing is NOT right. Other big cities don't have that problem ~ maybe you study what they are doing right and try to follow suit. Like most Dems, Gavin Newsom is trying to make Cali look enticing with all the "freebies". Who is going to pay for these??? this is the Socialist way, and it's not working. Hey, have you still putting up those billboards that used to say. "Californians go home???"
Well, for starters, we wouldn't allow every Tom, D... (show quote)
Those billboards have not been seen by me in 30 years. What people here did not like was Californians selling their homes for half a million then coming up here and buying homes and inflating the value of them.. It happened very quickly. Used to be an averge home could be bought for $20,000 then they suddenly went to $80,000 now over $200,000. Rents are outrageous here now --which is a major factor in homeless familys. It is only going to get worse. Would you hire a person who is unwashed and wearing ragged clothes? The caste system is now alive and well..

By the end of my trip, wanting all Liberals dead was a patriotic ideal. The broad-brush approach at defining Liberals and democrats was pernicious. If I had been spoon-fed these views, like many here, I would k**l Pelosi and AOC. And expect thanks from a grateful nation. The actual introduction to the Conservative network is, "Welcome to the dark side." Ridiculously wrong and inaccurate. Lies mostly. Kellyanne defending Trump's r****t tweets with an outright lie. Are you guys blind or what?

The solutions coming from the Left are NOT working. I've lived in both areas, both beautiful towns at one time. Dem solutions are not working. Gavin Newsome the former mayor of SF and now the Governor not doing the job. Funny how the top 5 cities with homeless problems are all run by Democrats. Coincidence? I doubt it.

What would Republicans do?

What rank did you achieve when you served?

E 3---I also qualified for officers candidate school but I received a medical discharge because of a knee. I could have stayed in as a clerk typist and let the military operate on me. Good thing I did not. A civilian doctor found I was misdiagnosed.

but are you far left or just left as in liberal

Congrats! Happy for you and the kids. Are you really far left or just liberal left? Which, I consider the loyal opposition of a two-party system?
I am a Democrat moderate. Far right and far left are out of their minds.

LA's homelessness surged 75% in 6 years. https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-homeless-how-we-got-here-20180201-story.html
Even better: How can a place with 58,000 homeless people continue to function? https://www.latimes.com/opinion/editorials/la-ed-homelessness-impact-on-others-20180301-htmlstory.html BTW, Did you love that speech last night? What a great speech!!!!!!!!
The homeless rate has spread at that rate all over if my town is any indication. Los Angeles has no monopoly on the problem. Lots of finger pointing but no solutions--perhaps that's the problem.

My home town in Oregon had signs down town that said "colored Rooms--"colored lounge" B****s were not allowed in public swimming pools and some neighborhoods had Green River ordinance enforced here signs. There were towns in Eastern Oregon that had signs saying if your ass is black do not be here at sundown. I never understood it. I knew very few B****s growing up. The ones I did know had White accents and were rednecks like the rest of us.

I was glued to the television set along with all of my family the day of the moon landing. 2001 a space odyssey was a top film and we were all very proud of our country's achievement.

It's just as fair, as calling everyone a r****t. Or do you want "special" privileges for only your side? You need to read about conflict theory. It's what's the left practices to divide our people. You put a bunch of kids in a school setting and set up the conflict. The best readers, the average readers, and the lowest readers and that creates conflicts. Plus the teachers are weak and conflicted and poor role models. What could go wrong? You raise a bunch of conflicted maladjusted kids into conflicted maladjusted adults. Or further research into mind control by the CIA to cause revolts and revolutions among groups. Some call it to divide and conquer.
Like what Palestinians and lefties do to their children.
It's just as fair, as calling everyone a r****t. O... (show quote)

I resent that last remark. My kids are top notch. Both are honor rollers and are often praised by their teachers. The boy has already made his career choice and is in his 4th year as a US Navy sea cadet. The girl is often helping slower students and is an asset to her teachers. I have never ever spanked either one yet they are very well mannered. There is no division here and never will be. My kids are very normal well socialized and happy.

And they spread that term around like they spread butter on their toast.

Any quick review of recent history will show how conservatives attempt to label their opponents, and then they whine and cry their usual lies are exposed as simple minded foolishness.

Glad I do not live there. My daughter and her family went to Disneyland last winter and were appalled by the homeless camps they saw.
