Every President in my lifetime has had his hairy moles, and h*****g boogers, but I've never seen the level of pure, unadulterated hatred I see with this one. It's not just hatred for him, but those who support him as well.
It's disturbing.

And, yes, I did get a job with the Postal Service. It took forever, and they're working me like a rented mule, but I think it'll pay off in the long run.
The money and benefits aren't bad for walking around putting bills in people's mailboxes, and squirting their dogs with pepper spray.

Toms a good guy but he actually has TDS. He believes anything he reads negative about Trump. I believe I’m in a unique position as far as judging Trump goes. I believe in policies not rhetoric. Can’t stand Trump the person. Never could. But my personal feeling aren’t as important as policies in deciding who I believe should be the next president. Once again the other side will give me no choice. Their candidates stated policies will ruin the country. They are all, well at least any that have a chance g*******ts.

Education has been going downhill for a long time and it’s your party that supports the status quo and in typical lib fashion your answer would be throw more money at it when we already spend more per student than any country. H**e crimes have not increased. Violent crime is down. Your sides goofy definition of a h**e crime has increased. Homelessness is expanding. In the cities run by you loons. The national debt is Congress’s fault period. You are blinded and just not very factual.

It's kind of sad that you can't admit that Trump is doing something even a little bit good.

That's what is wrong with the TDS h**e that has taken over here. But I am a firm believer that good will prevail. It always does.

trump has destroyed the morale of our armed forces. trump has destroyed the faith our allies once had in us. Let us not forget the increase in farm bankruptcy --h**e crimes are up due to his rhetoric-- --education is going down hill-- the homeless population is expanding and he has doubled our national debt. He has pushed his luck with the laws of our country. There is a lot more. The longer he stays the more damage is done. You and millions of others are blinded by the light.

About the only thing worse I can think of is a Home Owners Association. Where do you live where the county does not have to maintain the roads?

We don't care about any bodies house. We maintain the road. Coos County Oregon is where I live. Past blunders and outright dishonesty in our county commissioners office along with a huge reduction in timber revenue put us on our own. The Sheriffs department has a big long list of crimes they do not investigate. If you are a victim of theft for instance they mail you a complaint form.

I live my life by never giving up. In the end there is always a solution. That is how the pyramids were built and the statues of Easter island were moved. It sure as heck was not space men doing it.

Tom, my sister had a similar problem where she was in rural New Mexico and eventually one of her neighbors used his bobcat to level out and keep the road passable. All he asked of the neighbors was some money for gas and when necessary for spare parts. Your group might look into buying one, you can generally get a decent one for under 5 K. People are more likely to shell out 5 or 10 bucks for gas and upkeep and you can even save it up for gravel for your road. Sorry, I can't give you a solution but it is situations like this that you discover the real worth of your neighbors.

We found that taxation was the only solution as very few would give even one red penny. We charge $2.19 per thousand of the taxable value of every tax lot in our district. We have enough to barely keep the roads maintained. We hire a contractor once a year to grade and roll and spread the belly dumps of gravel we buy. All work such as ditch and culvert cleaning and brush control is volunteer help. Nobody volunteers and I am the youngest on the board at age 65 so I do the work. I have to stay until May 2021 then I am quitting. Hopefully another will take my place.

After he lost by a land slide he was giving a statement. He REALLY DID NOT LIKE one news reporter and the reporter asked what he thought of his mandate. He said a couple of inpolite sentences and stormed out.

Now myself, being a nice guy who respects generally everyone except ornery cantankerous jerks, the only time I have personally felt this hatred and contempt is when my conservative friend down on the corner garage introduces me as a Hillary supporter to hard right wingers, there were a couple of times I thought he was going to get me shot.
I will be glad to see the return to sanity in this country. It will happen

That is shallow. Trump is donating his salary and you don't like it.

Prove to me and all of us that are here that he is "enriching" himself. Your word is not something anyone here will accept as t***h, Coos Bay Tom. Nothing short of you going into the White House and extracting from Trump what he is doing will convince anyone. You are an extreme l*****t sham trying to do what you've been told to do.

Hello...it's not working.

You guys will probably be bored with my story but it has to do with politics. I bought in to my neighborhood 15 years ago. My place is on a gravel road in the county. Our county refuses to take care of gravel roads yet demands that they remain accessible to the public. The seller conveniently did not tell me that when i bought in. The first year was so bad that people started driving on others lawns to make a new road and the school buses refused to run because of our road conditions.. One lone woman went around the nieghborhood asking for donations to fix the road. she collected a whopping $35 Out of 73 tax lots and 200 residents that was it. There was one old man with no children who put up $4000 for some rock and a grader. It was then that I found out that the county would not do a thing. By spring the road was going bad so I took a week and my own money and hauled load after load of rock in and shoveled it by hand into the craters we had to drive around. Not one soul volunteered to help me. After I had the road in shape again a fellow in the nieghborhood approached me with the idea of starting a road district. We found another interested party and we went through the petition process with the county.. After more than a year we finally got the go ahead to put it to a v**e of the people. Meanwhile I continued to spend my own money on gravel and wore out my on shovels placing it.. Well we lost the e******n. For 2 more years I paid for gravel and rarely got any help or even a thank you. Finally an e******n year came again and we won. We were expected to take care of the road but we had to wait 6 months before we got any tax money. Once again it fell on me. We were set to get some money and a jerk in the nieghborhood who did not want to pay taxes filed a recall campaign. We won by a 2/3 majority but the damage was done as we had to pay the county e******ns department the costs of the special e******n. One more year of putting out my own money and labor. I was the political novice and another guy with board experience and friends in the county commissioners office took charge. He was an i***t. He was also a bully and demanded everything be done his way. It did not help that the other board member out of a three member board was a suck up with his own ambitions. I know from experience that you need base rock to build a road yet the demand was for a smooth surface so 3/4 minus rock was used with poor results. When you have potholes all over a road you have to rip it and plow it up before you grade it and it must be rolled. I would suggest ripping and would be shot down "don't break the crust" was all the grader operators heard. You cannot fix the problems of a road base by throwing small rock on it. To make things worse the bully who was president of the board got the bright idea that we needed hard highway grade rock but it came from a source so far away that trucking costs kept us from buying enough rock to do the job. We were screwed. I had to wait it out. finnaly the two fools I served with resigned and new board members came on board. To my pleasant surprise they agreed with me and now the road is the best it has ever been. The base has been fixed the potholes are not a major problem and I am not wearing myself out any more. It is nice to have reasonable people to work with. Things get done right. I had to wait for the chance and when I got it I took it. No regrets.
