It shouldn’t take an academic study to prove that it’s a bad idea to let violent criminals back out on the street with little or no bail. But it’s the kind of lunacy that’s so jaw-droppingly stupid just on the face of it that, of course, the left adopted it and claimed it was an unquestionably sound policy that would lead to lower crime. So to quote Dr. Phil, how’s that workin’ out for ya?

https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-violent-crime-tripled-suspects-walked-free-withou-bail-reform-study

A study by the Yolo County, California, District Attorney’s office found that California’s “Zero Bail” policies have been (surprise!) an unmitigated disaster. The study found that 78% of repeat offenders who were let out on low or no bail were arrested again, compared to 46% who’d had to post bail. They were arrested more than once by a margin of 62% to 25%. The low-to-no bail criminals’ reoffenses “resulted in felony charges 90% more often – and they were accused of three times as many violent crimes.”

Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig said, "I mean, we have more people being shot at, stabbed, assaulted, robbed, beaten. These are real victims – and the numbers are staggering under zero bail." He said the study proves that “zero bail is a completely failed policy."

Under most circumstances, you’d think that the legislature would rush to change the policy. But this is California, where “Doubling down on failed policies” is the unofficial state motto.

The "Zero Bail" idea is so stunningly stupid one might think that PermaDummy, Woodhead, or brainless Milosia were the 'parents'.

How about we first get a real report from an unbiased entity, other then FOX. Here's what I'm for, consequences of actions, therefore if they go out and get arrested again, the penalties and times served will be doubled, also not to sit in jail but on some kind of hard labor work detail, along with community service, maybe they should go back to their home town and help fix it up, clean it up, not to mention some kind of self-improvement class to learn a laboring sk**l. This cost can be offset by their labor. They are criminals because they know no other way.

" The numbers are provocative — and, unsurprisingly, misleading. "

" There are obvious problems, one identified by the FBI in a 2014 report on active-shooter situations, which couches its own statistics by noting:

A handful of those identified as “wounded” were not injured by gunfire but rather suffered injuries incidental to the event, such as being hit by flying objects/shattered glass or falling while running. "

" It may be for this reason, among others, that the FBI does not define “mass shootings,” only “mass k*****gs.” The latter are those incidents with at least three dead, a metric based on the Investigative Assistance for Violent Crimes Act of 2012, which passed into law in 2013 and grants the U.S. attorney general authority to aid in the investigation of “mass k*****gs and attempted mass k*****gs at the request of an appropriate law enforcement official of a state or political subdivision.” Under this definition, there have been 67 “mass k*****gs” this year. "

Not that I am accusing you of posting misleading information. No. I know you too well to do that.

Looks like innocent k*****gs are never enough for you. You can squabble over statistics but we are the most violent country for a {non-war torn} country, fact. There are signs from other countries that advise their airline passengers of how they are at risk for their lives coming to this country. People like you don't see the impact of things until it happens to you personally. Having more mass shootings then days in a week or a month is outrageous, the fact that it doesn't bother you is quite telling of your warped attitude.

To political commentators and Republicans.

I would like to ask Mr. Brian Kilmeade who so vehemently supports the billions of dollars and top military equipment aid to Ukraine and, he even feels is not enough as well as the rest of commentators who feel about the same and more…

What about the hundreds of thousands of people dying every year (more than 250 every day!!) in this country! since Biden (democrats) took the presidency in 2020 due to the open borders policies?

We are only talking about illegal drugs being made easy and available for young people to be k**led.

What about many other law breakers, criminals, gang members, sex traffickers, terrorists who are also k*****g and will keep on (increasingly) committing all types of crimes and many of them being repeat offenders are released with no consequences!

What about the thousands of innocents being accused and prosecuted by this corrupted government only because they dissent!

They include Christians being persecuted with the consent and deceptive pretentiousness that “nothing is happening” from this government!

What about the millions of law-abiding citizens and patriots being accused by this corrupted government of being r****ts and terrorists because they questioned a clearly f********t e******n?

What about the thousands of people who died, and children being abused openly that have and are dying as well in this country because of unconstitutional mandates and laws being applied arbitrarily?

Then, Mr. Brian Kilmeade acts seemingly with surprise and asks why laws haven't been applied or why this government hasn’t done more (nothing) about the Mexican border?

Is Mr. Brian Kilmeade really naive to think that this government doesn’t know or is acting in good faith about immigration?

Why do so many, or all commentators and politicians keep on talking about title 42? Something that has nothing to do with i*********n l*ws!

Isn’t there any common sense to see that if the title 42 expires or not, it’s not going to make any “blank” difference because this government is not applying the law, we have open borders!

The chaos has been in place since this administration took control.

Why are we pretending as if laws are being applied about immigration?

However, that’s all there is, pretensions and denials!!

So, Mr. Brian Kilmeade and his colleagues along with most republicans close their eyes to the invasion happening to this country, however, they get united to aid another corrupted government who persecutes Christians or anyone who dissents!

Democrats need this Russian/ Ukrainian war! They haven’t done anything to try to stop this war because they know the war would bring some unity with the stupid republicans who always fall to their pretentiousness regardless of daily deceptions!

Why should we believe in a government that has been lying every day since they got the presidency?

Why should we believe the CIA, FBI or any other government agency when they have been proved liars and totally corrupted?

Russia accused Ukraine and the United States of working or experimenting with chemicals weapons in spite of Ukraine being part of a signed agreement prohibiting so, and the USA denied it however,

It was learned to be true in an interrogation in Congress after the Russian invasion took place.

I am not defending Russia and I support the Ukrainians against the invasion from Russia, however this US government is as corrupted or worse than Russia and all they are doing is for their political gain!

This government doesn’t really care for the Ukrainians being massacred by Russians because they haven’t tried any negotiations, especially knowing that Russia wants a guarantee that Ukraine remains a neutral country, instead they do the opposite.

Regardless of the sympathy and support to the Ukrainian people we should fix or fight for our freedom in this country that we are losing if not already lost!

Republicans should unite against this corrupted government and fight any of their spending that is nothing but more power control for them!

I see, and where would history be if we had helped Austria from Hitler's first invasion on March 11, 1938? Could we have spared 6 million Jews, then we have all of European civilians, and lastly al of the soldiers fought from ourselves and all other allies, more millions of people, if we had only stopped him in Austria.

2nd Amendment News: Oregon V**es in Gun Ban!

You read that correctly. V**ers in Oregon passed sweeping gun legislation which amounts to a gun ban! B****t Measure 114 passed by a v**e of “50.7 % For” and “49.3% Against,” with 30 of 36 counties v****g against the measure. As usual, the counties filled with liberals made this unconstitutional legislation into a law of the state. There’s your democracy at work folks! Two wolves and one lamb v****g on what’s for dinner, aka mob rule.

Several Oregon sheriffs are refusing to enforce the law, and one filed suit against the measure as it is unconstitutional, and I thank them.

The measure prohibits the sale, purchase, or possession of magazines holding more than 10 rounds, establishes a registration database (for later confiscation), and requires more background checks, more fingerprinting, and more safety training. Finally, the measure deals the death blow for gun owners: an unconstitutional Permit to Purchase a firearm system, which by the way does not even exist at this time. What part of “Shall not be infringed” do you not understand?!

My permit to purchase is the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution!

The law goes into effect on December 8th when the Oregon State Police is tasked with the implementation of the permit system. Gun owners aren’t holding their breaths while the State Police get the program up and running; owners are on a firearms buying spree.

Unfortunately for Oregon gun owners, the current chaos is preventing them from buying guns. Oregon State Police normally process 850 background checks per day. The number is now approximately 4,500 a day and climbing, and as you can imagine, has created quite a backlog. Even if you purchased a gun before the December 8th deadline, the new law requires you to show the dealer your permit to possess the gun before they can t***sfer your purchase to you! Thus, you now have a de facto gun ban in the State of Oregon!

They’re coming for your guns Folks!

You've summarized the republican mindset very well.

Tell me though how is " due process" guilty of anything? Unless it has fallen to corruption. FYI... it is not innocent beyond a shadow of doubt, it is "reasonable doubt." Get with the program, this is how the guilty go free.

Correct. The Constitution specifically says the government can not interfere in religion. It says nothing about keeping religion out of government. As always, the left only knows enough about the Constitution to avoid following it.

The government has no place in religion, it's job is to govern, this is especially true since it cannot be biased over one from another. How about we decide to make the official religion Muslim? How would you feel then, I suspect it wouldn't it right with you, that would force your hypocrisy would shine through.

Even if you were to try and argue we were founded in Christianity, it's not in our Constitution, and how we began "founded", has nothing to do with today, stop living in the past and most of all stop trying to force everyone else to do the same.
