I was hyper tense as a kid and had an attention span of a gnat. My mother sent a sealed envelope with me to be given to the principle on day one stating that they had permission to spank me if it was necessary. Of course she was a teacher and my dad was a Master Sgt. Marines so I was expected to know how to act. That was then, a long time ago. Mike Ps, got spanked a couple of times but mostly the corner.

A recent move by a small-town school is making some big waves across the planet.

Apparently, employees and officials at the school were tired of being blamed for all of the negative behaviors their students were displaying. They had also had enough of being told that if only they would do their jobs better, perhaps the children today would behave more appropriately and have more success in their academic pursuits. Thankfully, someone at the school understands how the world really works and has decided to no longer take the attacks lying down.

Here’s the sign that the school posted in their halls and soon went v***l on the Internet:

Dear parents

We would like to remind you that magic words such as hello, please, you’re welcome, I’m sorry, and thank you, all begin to be learned at home
It’s also at home that children learn to be honest, to be on time, diligent, show friends their sympathy, as well as show utmost respect for their elders and all teachers.
Home is where they learn to be clean, not talk with their mouths full, and how/where to properly dispose of garbage.
Home is also where they learn to be organized, to take good care of their belongings, and that it’s not ok to touch others.
Here at school, on the other hand, we teach language, math, history, geography, physics, sciences, and physical education. We only reinforce the education that children receive at home from their parents.

How perfect is this sign? The school is 100% correct and this is where the disconnect in our society lies, isn’t it? Liberals (and bad parents) want the schools to be the place where children are taught everything; from the three Rs (reading, writing, and a-rithmetic) to how to behave as a member of modern society. The problem is that this has never before been the job of education in America or in Western Culture. The job of training children has always fallen to the parents and the family, and only in recent years as liberal culture has begun to suffocate traditional western culture have we seen the push to have schools pick up the slack.

This cannot continue. If we want a reawakening in Western Culture and civilized society, then our families must once again assume the proper role in rearing our children. Only then can we right this sinking ship of cultural malaise and societal collapse.

The left believes any and all headlines supporting them and their lifestyle are true. Like many ridiculous claims here. The proof is in reality.

The l*****t entitlement babies scream at the tops of their lungs they have as much relevance as the person that has to work to provide for them.

Entitlements are now an economy of their own. Take a look see. Congress should begin a drawdown of entitlements complete with a sunset rule. A lifetime sunset rule. Entitlements should not be a career choice like it is now.

Can you imagine how many more l*****ts there would be if so many minority sperm toilets did NOT abort their children? As stated about 51 million.

I can't help but t***slating any l*****t headline into freebies and control for the left. With Trumps e******n I believe you are doomed kiddies. You have begun the descent into irrelevance.

Which in my world is right where you belong.

As of late, I have been posting others' letters/articles from Reminisce Magazine. The following is a letter I received from my Dad while on the USS Sanctuary in 1968...just a few days after my arrival in Viet Nam. It remains one of the most memorable in my life. I had not been raised by Dad and having spent rare time together, I hardly knew him prior to the last two years of high school. Dad (likely as a result of being a WWII/Korean Vet) was a hard man. Over the years, I had often (in my mind) questioned his thoughts of/for me. This letter went a long way in answering those questions and bolstering confidence in my value and worth to him. It served as an elixir to my heart, mind and soul.

Dear Lon,

I got your 1st letter yesterday and answered same a few minutes ago. June then called, read me your letter to Kenny in which you said you were rec**ping on a hospital ship. I thank God your wounds have had no permanent damaging effects and prayerfully trust that you have a speedy recovery. I called Mike and sent him over to a f**g company to get you a Texas f**g which we will ship to you today or tomorrow.

As you have already learned...an areal or artillery bombardment is a traumatic and frightening experience, because of the patterns used. The density of coverage and the overwhelming power levied against you and the fact that there is no defense except to just hit the deck, hang on and pray. Having shared the experience many times, I can well understand the natural feelings of fear, frustration and helplessness that one feels. If your recovery is good, I suppose you will be back on the lines within a few weeks. I wish to God you could get a "survey," but understand how the machinery operates.

I wrote Don several times to the effect that heroes are made and not born...that, in a sense, every combat veteran is a hero if the word means or connotes a spirit of manliness. The every day life experiences of the foot soldier...not counting the extraordinary situations, require the very best of a man's fibre in strength, will and determination. Unquestionably, you satisfy all of those requirements and will account for yourself in an admirable manner, so...do not undertake to do more than you are directed to do. The Corps is the best judge of where they need you and what you should do in the line of service.

I can visualize the smile fleeting across your face as I write...don't be a foolish volunteer on extraordinary assignments, but I say it nevertheless. ('Skull' knows!) If there is anything we can send you, let us know. Of course, we will all write you often and regularly. June will bake some pogey-bait and cookies for you and ship same.

I bought a 12-gauge pump shotgun...plan to go out when bird-duck season opens...sure wish you were here to go with us, but we will lay our plans accordingly when you get home.

May I say that I am especially proud of you son, and I know that you will continue to manifest the finest traditions of the Corps.

God bless and keep you.

Love, Dad

Some of the concerns, alternative etc to implementing the pipeline...

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2017/01/impact-keystone-dakota-access-pipeline-environment-global-warming-oil-health/

The U.S. State Department said T***sCanada, the company behind the Keystone XL pipeline, has agreed to change its planned pipeline route to go around the environmentally sensitive sandhills of Nebraska, bury the pipeline deeper in the ground than they had planned, and closely monitor the pipeline’s safety. These steps are intended to help minimize the harm of an oil spill if one happens.

The alternative to a pipeline also presents concerns. The State Department estimated that as of January 2014, 180,000 barrels of Canadian crude oil per day is being t***sported by freight trains. If no pipeline is built, that number will rise. Using trains to t***sport oil to refineries in the U.S. poses a safety concern because explosions can occur, k*****g people and damaging habitats nearby.

The Dakota Access pipeline project was meant to address the growing amount of oil being shipped out of North Dakota by freight trains. It’s cheaper to move oil through pipelines and reduces the likelihood that explosions will happen, according to Energy T***sfer Partners, the pipeline project’s builder.

3. WHAT THE PIPELINES MEAN FOR CLIMATE
Many climate activists have opposed the pipelines on the suspicion that they may increase our reliance on, and use, of f****l f**ls, and further delay investment in more renewable technologies.

But the State Department said in a 2014 assessment that the Keystone XL pipeline would have no additional impact on greenhouse gas emissions because the oil would be extracted from tar sands in Canada at the same rate anyways, regardless of whether or not the pipeline was built.

The EPA contested that finding, saying that extracting oil from the tar sands generates more greenhouse gases than extracting oil through more conventional methods and therefore contributes to a greater amount of greenhouse gas emissions over time. If more pipelines are built, more oil could theoretically be extracted at a faster rate, meaning greenhouse gases would actually be released more quickly.

The State Department’s assessment argued that the oil extracted from tar sands would find its way to market regardless of whether the Keystone XL pipeline was built or not. However, it’s also true that the fate of the pipelines remains uncertain, with activists in Canada and the U.S. opposing the plans. The volatile market also does not guarantee that demand will make the high cost of extracting oil from the tar sands worthwhile.

The pipeline project is on hold following a federal judge's ruling. But the protesters remain. Here, they camp near Cannon Ball, North Dakota.
PHOTOGRAPH BY ERIKA LARSEN, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
The Natural Resources Defense Council and other major environmental groups say that, most likely, Keystone XL pipeline would accelerate the pace and expand the scale of tar sands development. Using trains slows down the process of getting the oil to refineries and ultimately to market, so it is better long-term for the environment, the groups said.

No environmental impact report has been created for the Dakota Access pipeline, though the U.S Army Corps of Engineers said they would conduct an environmental impact survey when they halted the project in December 2016.

Ultimately, Anthony Swift, staff attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council, told National Geographic it’s a question of whether the U.S. will support development of “one of the most carbon-intensive sources of energy in the world, or whether we really are going to move in a direction to cut greenhouse gases.”

4. HOW THE PIPELINES WILL IMPACT PEOPLE
Aside from the long-term impact that a warming climate could have on human life as a result of reliance on oil, the pipelines could pose an immediate threat to the drinking water of nearby communities and may damage areas considered sacred by Native American tribes, according to opponents.

The Dakota Access pipeline project has encountered fierce opposition in part because the threat of an oil spill and poisoned water sources could impact the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, whose reservation is immediately downstream of the point where the pipeline will cross the Missouri River. Many tribe members are also concerned about burial grounds being disturbed during construction of the pipeline. Bulldozers have already removed some topsoil on ground that the tribe considers sacred.

Both pipelines would create jobs during their construction. The State Department estimated that the Keystone XL pipeline would create 42,100 jobs over the one to two years of the pipeline’s construction and would create 50 permanent jobs. While that isn’t a lot of long-term job creation, it would keep the crude oil refineries in the Gulf Coast up and running. If the pipeline is not built, it could eventually endanger jobs at those refineries.
