First of all, you are correct, the global alarmist i***ts want us all dead.

As for Iran, they would say they need no example of US weakness to inspire them to want us blown to bits and if they had a nuke, Ii have no doubt they would use it, immediately. Well, maybe not Iran, persay, but radical Islamists. They would. The Iranian people were quite happy being westernized and welcomed our trade and tourism before we installed the Shah. That was one of our biggest mistakes and all for British Petroleum. How could we have been so stupid?? And ow it reflects upon us in all of our dealings with the ME and the rest of the world.

As for China, who knows. They want Taiwan but I think only for money's sake but I could be wrong.
