We also need to stop arming Ukraine. Zelensky is out as well.

Iran sees how Russia having a nuclear weapon makes us back down, and when they get theirs do you think they will show as much restraint as Putin's Russia? China wants Taiwan, and to make all of the eastern Pacific their hegemonic sphere of influence. Plus Africa and elsewhere.

Ukraine doesn't have nukes. Their big mistake. Iran sees this as confirmation that they need to achieve nuclear offensive capabilities. If Putin doesn't want widespread disasters then don't fire on nuclear reactors. I suspect we would react the same way we did when Russia tried putting them in Cuba.

If nukes are launched, every world power will be struck. You think Russia would attack the west and not China? Russia will be vaporized, their not going to leave what's left for the Chinese to walk in and take over. Every country will be destroyed. Those that don't succumb to the immediate blasts will die a slow death from either the fall or our nuclear winter. But, why would Putin nuke Ukraine? He wants to stop the spread of western ideals from Russia. Putin is looking for a way out to save face.

There are over 14,000 nuclear bombs in the world. There literally will be nothing left of man kind should they launch. Compared to Littleboy or Fatman (dropped on Japan in WWII) the bombs today are orders of magnitude greater. Approx 12-15 kt (kilo tons) vs 455 kt for SLBM (submarine launched ballistic middle) and 800 kt for Russian ICBM.

I threw the picture for those that mistakenly think we should strike first. Moscow & the Russian govt leadership (I know, an oxymoron) is protected by the dead hand., an system that automatically launches their ICBMs. So you see (not you), the only was out of this mess is they negotiation or Russians & Ukrainians (really just Russians) k*****g one another.

Here is the reality. If Putin got what he wanted in the first place, there would have been no war. And it would have been better for all sides. NATO backing off and especially not letting Ukraine join. Simple. And then we have to think simple. That would be biden with his threats in the press and sanctions while supplying Ukraine with weapons like all of NATO was doing, and they backed Putin into a corner where he had to act or look like a coward in the face of babbling biden.

I don't want war and wish Putin didn't invade. But I am smart enough to realize he is the one who is right in the main issues at stake here. NATO's aggressive actions. NATO needs to be disbanded and America go home. Leave Europe to take care of itself as independent states, breaking up the European Union except for free travel and commerce, but all free to make their own laws for themselves. And engage Russia as just another independent state seeking commerce and free trade with them.

Then arm every adult with a long rifle making it virtually impossible for any invader to prevail. Like Switzerland.
