Those posts, in fairness, were not all on this thread, but spread around several. I don't see many (if any) attempts to reach any level of accord. Just, fussin' & fightin', and hurling insults, names, and accusations.
It makes me wonder: How can we expect our legislators to civily discuss matters, when we can't, on a simple forum?

As John Boehner said that this is not a game. Note: (I don't believe John).
As you point out we can't expect those in office to refrain from such tactics when we can't. And we don't even know who we are responding to.
Keep to the issue at hand, respond respectfully and above all respect an individual to have a different opinion, however, address it.
