Republicans in Congress are proposing to take $80,000,000,000 from the Food Stamp program. That is like taking $100. a month from those that are living on a 'shoestring' now.

This has the potential and probability of causing more stress within families, fighting from within and outside with a strong possibility of causing more murders and suicides.

This announcement was made on 9/20/2013 by Thom Hartman during his radio show.

You don't know that! Where is your proof? Why should I be forced to give food for anyone. I have a mouth to feed already. If the poor dogs had absorbed education & buckled down triple time as I did, they would not need food stamps. Do you need food stamps Mr. Dville? At Safeway a young man about 18 was sittin by the entry. A young lady gave him a dollar. He took it and ran into the store and bought a beer. I am aware of cases wherein food cards are sold at discount for cash. Besides, food stamps make people obese. I have seen a lot of fat women use food cards. In a few cases they can belly up to the table but their arms won't reach the food so they sit on the coach and watch TV. Sometimes I spice things up with a little satire. Hope you don't trip a circuit breaker.

No surprise here! (I don't like surprises) My proof is happening as I write this ...this is what is being proposed in government turn on the news but you might not see it on Fox, or Rush, or Bill, etc.

I can see by what you observe (the negative) that you wouldn't notice (the positive) because that doesn't fit in your position.

"If the poor dogs had absorbed education & buckled down triple time as I did, they would not need food stamps."

That is about the most ignorant statement that I have heard in a long time. So in your (humble????) opinion if every one of our working people did like you we wouldn't need these programs. Is that really your opinion?

Mr. Huggins, What you are implying is that all the conditions that you experienced are the same now and with a population of about 324 million today with very scarce job availability that everybody should be employed. That is not only crazy it is STUPID.

Tell me that period in your history when everyone was employed. Even in the 90's one of our lowest unemployment rates was 3 - 4%. Sir you need to stay away from Safeway and turn up you mind.

If there was a 1% of people abusing the benefits I would still go with the 99% in need....would you?

And no Sir you did not trip my circuit breaker because we are not only not on the same page...we are not on the same planet.

You say: Progressives have been........for the last 80 years. That tells me one thing....you've been "out to lunch" for the last 80 years, Henry.

We can't relate? It appears that you have never owned a business. I have owned a few. I started them and built them into money cows. From college, I started a business. I have employed myself for the past 35 yrs. My heart pumps urine for you, sir. And I ant sorry and I am stupid like a FOX!!! I am a r****t, I am stupid, an i***t, or anything you say for you are still in special education. Now, you can put the round circle in square hole. U C everything you say comes from an unintelligent thing. So it has no value. When a person of values speaks people listen. When a person of no value speak no body listens.

BS! That's 4% over the last 10 years or 5% over the next 10 years. That ends up being 3.8 cents per dollar.

Combine that with the money the Democrats stole from Medicare to fund Obamacare, and Houston, we have a problem. Hartman makes some very cogent points, but he is not infallible.

Here is some more math for you. We borrow 40 cents of every dollar we spend and cannot continue on this unsustainable path. In fact more and more people have sought benefits under Obama.

You just can't stand to be WRONG so you will twist it to work for you. You are just plain stupid and you couldn't care less about the people in need as long as it isn't you. And you need a math course. I'm finished with your idiocy. Write what you want against this but your wasting your time. I'm gone.
