It is ironic that states that v**e solid GOP are the same ones that suck up the Government ,largess in disproportionate, amounts.

A typical example is Owsley County,Kentucky. The population is 98 percent white and 81 percent GOP. They have the lowest household ,income in the country. Nearly half of these folks live below the poverty line. Yet their Congressman ,v**ed against raising the minimum wage to 10.00.

What is the matter with these people? They, like the morons in 213 of the 254 counties whose food stamp use doubled since the Bush/Cheney,economic debacle ,v**ed for Romney and the GOP in 2012.

Bizarre to say the least.

did you know that 73.42% of all statistical numbers are made up to support an argument that has no quantifiable support of its own? Can you please post links to your sources supporting your numbers?

The answer to your question concerning InYourFace posting "links to your sources" would be never has, never will and does not know how to provide "quantifiable support" nor wants to provide same. The "quantifiable support" for my statement would be researching past posts and comments by said individual.

Here is a link to support some of your narrative. Of course your detractors and deniers will be on the attack, since facts to them are dangerous, often conflicting with what they believe to be true, even when it is not.

It should be duly noted the county under discussion is located in coal country. You remember, correct. This would be the industry the President has declared a "war" on.

Certainly, there are changes needed to the industry; however, imposing requirements to be met in a very limited time leads to the losing of jobs. When new safety, emissions and MPG requirements are imposed upon the auto industry, the requirements have an extended length of time before implementation must occur. Such is NOT the case with the coal industry.

On another thread, an individual very generously provided advice for coal workers to the effect, "Just pack your trash and move somewhere else for work." One has to wonder how that individual would feel being told to leave all their family, friends, and heritage to move to an unknown area for possible, but no guarantee, employment. If I felt there was any sincere interest in these individual's plight, heritage, etc, I could expound at great length on the thought of "just pack your trash and move"; however, neither you nor IYF care a whit about them or their plight. You utilize them to attempt superiority of yourselves.

Not at all. I simply provided some information. Much the same as information from other sources/blogs. The reader can decide for themselves as to the cause and condition. I'm certain that there are individuals in some major cities that face the same choices you laid out.

My issue is now and will continue to be the total continuing denigration of ALL things southern. Several weeks ago I turned the tables on an individual (not to be named) by mocking a particular area of NYC. A PM was received from said individual taking me to task at great length for critiquing the area of their birth, education and where their family still lived. My response unkindly enough was, "Turn about is fair play. How do you like it now?" I try my level best not to meet stereotyping; however, try this...honey child, you on your best day CANNOT insult a southerner better then another southern can insult a southern. You do not even have a kindergarten level ability to understand how.

Lies, plain and simple. HR 1010 has not even been reported by committee yet. Here is a link to the bill that Hal Rogers allegedly "v**ed" on:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr1010#overview

Here is a v****g record of Hal Rogers:

You sir, are a liar.

Nope. You cannot dismiss statistics you do not agree with as lies. The red states usually get more in from the federal government than they pay in taxes, and blue states, like NY, get back much less in benefits for the taxes they pay. I think it would be great to cut off those loserly red states just like the Republicans want to cut benefits to the poor. Why should NY pay good money to the loserly states of MS and KY? They should pull themselves up by their bootstraps. The former Confederacy will never be independent unless they can earn their own way.

I read your article, and the major thrust of it was not WHICH states got more welfare, but simply argued about the designation of each welfare state-trying to convince someone that the welfare state of West Virginia was really blue, and that New Hamshire was red. Sorry Charlie, the definition was the presidental e******n, the one with the highest turnout, the one least likely to involve local issues and the one most likely to reflect the 'world view' and big picture thinking of the v**ers. I would think that in most big picture ways-education, healthcare, environment, role of government, etc. New Hampshire is Blue and West Virginia is red.
